If you need a precut granite countertop....look no further. If you don't have a lot of cuts and…read more you know what you are doing, you can give your kitchen a remake by not breaking the bank. They have 4 to 5 colors and range between $125 to $225 for a 2ft by 6ft slab. I ended up getting 3 slabs and had to get a cut for the sink from another dealer down the street. I shopped around and my kitchen would have cost me aroundb$3000 but costed me around a $1,200. They do have tiles and flooring reasonably priced. In addition if you have a rental property, they have a landlord discount of 3%. The staff here have always been helpful.

But if you get the item on sale, a whole one time 10% off, they say all that material sent by their financing company Synchrony is null and void. Synchrony says call the retail store, Grossman's says call Synchrony. So no matter how much you spend if they give you a few dollars off, then NO PROMOTIONAL financing is available. This does not happen at the HOME DEPOT. I recommend if you want to avoid financing fees of 29.99% at Grossman's either don't get it on sale or just go to HOME Depot or Lowe's, anywhere but this retailer. PS. the company used to offer Bargain bucks, which were like gift certificates when you used their charge card and made big purchases. These could be used for future purchases. The company owner (Barton & Co) eliminated that customer perk also. I guess they would rather skip over nickels to save pennies!!

Posting this so others are aware before purchasing equipment from Lowe's Home Improvement in…read moreLatham, NY. We purchased a riding lawnmower that was sold to us as new. Within an hour of getting it home, we found a large, rusted dent on the floorboard, widespread scratches/cosmetic damage, a heavily rusted blade, and grass/dirt buildup inside the deck housing. When we called the store that night, we were basically told this was "normal." The next day, a manager told us the mower "looked 2 years old." During later conversations with corporate customer care, we were then told the mower was an older model that had apparently been sitting outside for "a few years." Despite that, it was displayed and sold alongside actual new models at full price. The mower was eventually replaced and we received partial compensation after an absurd amount of back and forth, but the explanations the entire way through were inconsistent, communication was terrible, and nobody could give a straight answer as to how a mower in that condition could appropriately be sold as new. Sharing this so others know to thoroughly inspect expensive equipment before leaving the store, and perhaps take their business somewhere other than Lowe's.

I guess you could say that once you've been to one Lowe's, you've been to all Lowe's. More to the point though, I like the ease of navigation, the wide variety of home improvement products, and the easy self-checkout. The key cutting machine is a neat offering, although a part of me longs for the days of independent neighbourhood locksmiths.

These are not luxury apartments. I lived here for 1 year and could not wait to move. The buildings…read moreare so dirty. They do not clean anything or vacuum. The same stains on the walls were still there when I moved out 1 year later. They keep the trash in bins on the floors and it attracts mice. We had 3 mice in our apartment that we had to deal with (also seen one dead in the hallway). The trash is always full and smells. The painting on the walls in the buildings was done half a**. If you use the staircase in building 2 in the parking garage and it rains, the water sits in a huge puddle which seeps into the building and grows mold. They've done nothing about it. The flooring in the apartments was done half a**... you feel the floor pieces move when you step on them. I heard every step the person above me took in their apartment. Everything in your apartment will break (maintenance staff is great though). They had to replace the dryer, the latches on the doors in the apartment to keep the doors closed broke. The hinges on the cabinets in the kitchen were not done properly and are loose. Everything was done half a**. This place is in need of a serious remodel. They charge way too much for these apartments. They wanted to raise our rent another $200 when it came up for renewal and now I see the same apartment online for 2000+! I could not imagine paying 2000 (400 dollar increase from what we were paying) for a 1 bedroom at this place. The water bill on average was 8-10 a month and then randomly jumped to 20 a month with no explanation. Everybody pays for the entire buildings water usage. It's not specific to your usage. The siding is coming off the outside of building 2. The way they designed these buildings... if it's windy, you'll hear the wind hollow in the hallway. Your balcony will be covered by lint from the dryer vents that are over your apartment (there were 4 dryer vents over my balcony). Hopefully you're lucky enough to be in one of the apartments where the pigeons/birds don't sit on your balcony. The only two positives are the view of the water and the parking garage. However, there is a lot of mischief that goes on in the neighborhood.

I had 3 maintenance requests for an entire year and the week before I moved out they wanted to fix it. Our windows were barely sealed and cabinets broken, the floors are installed terribly so those will also be ruined. The office is unprofessional and rude. In building two there will always dog urine on the carpets and in the elevators along with marijuana odors that linger into your apartment. If stay far away from this place!
