This was our 3rd trip to Steffey's Pizza. We took our daughter to try it. Of course we ordered Uncle Roman Supreme. It's a pizza with a top crust, absolutely superb. They're cooked in a cast iron skillet and are great! As usual, the service was stellar, our server was attentive and quick. She kept us apprised of the progress of our pizza, bread sticks, and salads and made sure we were well stocked on napkins. The restaurant has a pizza parlor feel to it. It even has a few pool tables. So let me start by saying I have heard lot of good things about this place. So we were excited to try it. The pizza was OK (Nothing great). The server was friendly and tried her best. But where the bad was in the kitchen, we ordered an appetizer breadsticks and our food a pizza, nacho, sandwich and an ultimate nacho. We waited probably 30-35 minutes on the breadsticks and had to get up and ask about them. They said they were finishing them up. It wasn't two minutes after we got the breadsticks that most of our food arrived. The ones who received our food finished eating and we still did not have our ultimate nachos and so once again, I got up and went and asked and once again, they said they were finishing them up. I think it is a little ridiculous that you cannot get the food out in a timely matter. I will not be returning. read more

Food was 4.5 stars. Very good product with only a few suggestions for 5 stars. Crust could be a little thicker to provide a little more chew. Hamburger pizza could use a little more meat and cheese. Always tastes great! On my last visit I was mistakenly overcharged on a tip. They were great in correcting the mistake. Not only did they refund my money, they also sent a nice note and gift card. There isn't many good things I can say about this place. I've been twice and both times I was not impressed. If you live in Lavaca and want pizza quick then this is probably the best place to get that. But if you live outside Lavaca then by no means should you drive to get their pizza. There is nothing special about the pizza there, it is very mediocre and plain. Service wise, the first time I visited it was just ok, the second time it was pretty bad.
