They brought fresh garlic knot rolls + dipping olive oil with herbs that was really good! Bravo! Cesar dressing on our salads was good- not excellent, maybe house-made, maybe not. Lettuce quality (romain) was good. My lunch special dish was kinda a gooy bunch of chesse & sauce, hard to identify what was what in my trio, a bit greasy, but fine overall. Food was ok, not the best Italian by far. The ambience was so lacking, very old building with some pizza boxes in the window in back of restaurant. Watch for potholes in parking lot. Our waitress must have had a bad day cause I asked her to please turn down the ceiling fan twice and she literally said she can't do that she would have to turn off electricity. Funny but the other fans were either off or running slower. She didn't care obviously. I asked someone's else at the counter and she turned around to ask the same girl what to do?!?! Sad to say it ruined our time there as it wasn't warm. The salad had way and I mean way too much dressing. The bread was probably the best thing. My wife and I decided to try this Italian restaurant today based primarily on its five star Yelp reviews. I would say it totally lives up to those reviews. First off, we were there for their lunch specials. These start with homemade bread and olive oil dipping sauce, totally excellent. We had two lunches, one was lasagna, and the other one was a pasta sampler. The portions and quality of the meals well exceeded our expectations, we each took half of our entrées to go. The restaurant has a very nice interior, and the wait staff was more than attentive. Unfortunately, we are traveling and will not be able to return, but I highly recommend this establishment. read more

We have eaten here twice this week. First time, we ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Boy, was it tasty. And plenty of it. Chicken grilled to perfection. Honestly I don't know how they do it. THE BEST Italian food I have ever eaten and in a charming little town where everyone we met was friendly. Even my young kids were oohing and ahhing at the food. Plenty of sauce. The pasta is dreamy and cooked to perfection. The salads are fresh and the lettuce was crispy. I would drive over an hour out of my way to eat here. I got a plate with lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo. It was absolutely incredible. We stopped by on a road trip so we live far away from here and we are sad there's nothing like this near us. The food is top notch. Let's get that out of the way right now. Now let's talk about the service. Every time I have been there the waitstaff has been attentive and friendly. I want to discuss one trip in particular. My son and I stopped by to pickup some food to take home. We ordered our food and had a seat by the door to wait. A waitress came over and asked if we would like to sit at a table where it was more comfortable and the cold wind wouldn't hit us every time someone opened the door. After a few minutes at our table the same waitress came over and asked if we would like anything to drink while we waited. We declined. A couple of more minutes later she returned and told us the owner wanted to buy us drinks (sodas) while we waited. That kind of service should be the standard, not the exception. read more

Astonishingly delicious Italian food found in a pothole-ridden bump-in-the-road tiny village in rural Arkansas. Our group of three have lived in Memphis for decades and are very familiar with Italian restaurants who claim to be "legendary" in their excellence - and none of them could touch the excellence we found at Roma Italian Restaurant in Ozark Ark. We started with pillowy soft garlic bread fresh from the oven - a wonderful complementary item brought to the table with a saucer full of balsamic vinegar dipping sauce thick with chopped fresh herbs and garlic. We also shared an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms that were roasted but still juicy and smothered in a luscious tomato cream sauce. That same blend of Alfredo and Marinara, their Alla Panna sauce, took on an even richer flavor when simmered with chicken and layered over pasta primavera. The veggies were perfectly sauteed and plentiful, topped with two servings of juicy, perfectly seared chicken breasts. All entrees we ordered were generous portions, but this one in particular could easily have been for a couple of adults - just grand. The eggplant rollades hit the difficult balance between crispy fried crunchiness and chewy, creamy, ricotta-filled decadence. The bright tomato sauce drizzled on top counterbalanced the richness and was bright, but not too tart; just right. The chicken parm also had that tangy, bright, fresh marinara, and the cutlets were roasted to perfection. Our server confidently covered all our questions and made us feel at home. The heavy traffic we saw (on a Wednesday night) of both take-out and dine-in from locals let us know we weren't alone in our appreciation. Dessert was an off-menu special - a gorgeous tres leches cake that was clearly made by someone who is used to cranking out top-shelf tiramisu. Overall, we could not have asked for a better dining experience, but since we live almost five hours away, we sure would love to see Roma open up a closer location. read more

Got hungry while driving from Tulsa to Little Rock and found this place on Yelp that looked good. That is quite an understatement. I ordered the eggplant rollatini and a salad. The salad was delicious; try the house dressing for sure. Unless you dislike cheese, the rollatini is superb. The tastes blend perfectly. It was served directly out of the oven, too hot to eat. I had to allow each bite to cool on the fork before I ate it. I cannot fail to mention the Italian rolls. My only problem was that there was just too much food (shouldn't have ordered the salad and shouldn't have eaten but one roll), but I got a to-go box for half the rollatini and cajoled an extra roll and had my dinner-in-a-box. I'm from Ozark and have visited Roma more times than I can count. Each experience has been as good as the last. A complimentary appetizer of homemade bread and with a dip of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, capers and basil is offered--I would go to Roma and just eat this if I could! Huge portions at a decent price. In the past I was in love with the Eggplant Parmesan--it's phenomenal and vegetarian, too. A must-try, really. Their soups and salads are fresh and delicious. Pizzas are good. I really wrote this review because of my waitresses. I'm vegan now and was nervous finding foods that would suit me. But the waitresses were all so accommodating, offering me fresh bread without butter or cheese and checking my order twice to avoid errors. They're amazing!
