My home's roof is fairly new and has no missing shingles. I responded to this false claim, requesting that they look into their error. Instead, I was asked for proof of the roof's condition. The burden of proof is not on me. Travelers was more than welcome to come inspect my roof and determine why such an outrageous and clearly false claim was made, but they did not. I cannot remain a customer with a company that treats its customers like this. If I ever needed to file a claim, I can't imaging the battle that would ensue to force them to pay. Because of this blatant, unprofessional mistreatment, I have switched to the competition.

During the initial insurance search process, I worked with John (?) to compare quotes. He was very helpful via phone and email, over about half a day of quote comparisons. What if I wanted to lower my deductible? What if I wanted more ______? I probably got about 6 quotes before picking one, and he was patient and helpful the entire time. Now, a year later, I get an email from Cami letting me know my policy rate is decreasing (by $460/yr)! (I'd been in an accident a few years ago, but now it's far enough in the past that my insurance is finally getting cheaper again.) What a fun way to start the morning. She even helped me cancel my renters insurance (since I stopped renting a place a few months ago) AND is trying to get me a partial refund (since I should have canceled that a few months ago but never got around to it). 5 star experience so far. They compare all the major insurance companies and provide you with detailed quotes so you know how to compare apples-to-apples (without having to spend the time crunching numbers yourself!). Allstate, corporate, usually increases my premium annually, because I stick to the same company, so at one point, I was trying to shop around for the insruance from other major companies.. However, I decided to stick to Allstate because first my coverage & premium is still comparable to other companies after their new client promotion, and second I do not want to work with different agents, instead of Mr. Hong. I left several messages for the agent after the accident, when I did not hear back from her after 2-hours I called one of the partners listed on the website, Dan Rucker, he was extremely rude, condescending and misogynistic. He questioned if the accident even happened as I had explained (like I have time to call companies and make false claims). He offered no assistance in terms of providing a solution for a rental car or helping me get my vehicle towed to a body shop. He said that was my responsibility to cover, even though it was his policyholder that hit my car. He said he would need to "validate" my claim with the company, even though the company stated that they had already spoken to PLC. I missed a return call from Dan, but he left a message where he stated they would file the claim, that day, with Liberty Mutual. I called him back to get more details on next steps and was put straight to voicemail. He is yet to call me back and neither has Dawn, the assigned agent that I left 2 messages for earlier in the day. As of this post, it has been over 24 hours and I have yet to hear back. Since I did not hear back from PLC by the end of the business day, I called the Liberty Mutual Commercial Division myself, so I could get an update. When I spoke with the claims department, they stated that a claim had not been filed, as I was told it would be by Dan. Insurance is one of those industries where you expect responsiveness and empathy. My interactions with PLC thus far have been completely opposite.

There was a lot blame put on everyone but themselves and this gross negligence continued all the way to the closing date. It's like the office is being run by untrained new employees with zero overhead direction. The customer service was also incredibly unprofessional considering the large amounts of money being handled at any given time. We were on top of things the entire time and Chicago Title dropped the ball.
