I also requested that advanced child tax credit payments from 2021 be requested as mine were stolen. He requested a stimulus payment in the amount of $2700 , not three $400 child tax credit check payments. I would get a return of $4000. After everything I ended up paying $600 to file the returns with a promise of getting 4000 back. Obviously, since the wrong thing was marked, the IRS changed the return and I got back $83. I did not get my missing child tax credit checks and Alla tried to talk his way out of it. Even went as far as to tell me I told him to . He dod nothing wrong! Why the hell would I tell anyone to do my taxes wrong? I know the difference between a stimulus payment and an advanced child tax credit payment And my tax related should too. Why would I tell them to mark the wrong thing so that I end up with nothing. I do not appreciate his dishonest worm like behavior and could've done without this whole experience. I ended up being put in touch with Scott Wooster who had a very thorough and fun conversation with me where he learned about my insurance needs and situation. I responded to an email so he could review my whole picture that afternoon. The following morning I had a very detailed email with his thoughts. He recommended I stay with my current insurance carrier but then proceeded to suggest ways to reduce my premium there. I did those things that dramatically increased my coverage and reduced my total premiums by about 20%. I can't recommend FirstMark and Scott more. In the future I will be able to change my coverages and Scott will be the first one I call when that day comes.

These guys were an absolute nightmare. I started with $462K in April 2006 (yes, I know baaaaaad…read moretiming) and finally left them in March 2012 with only $353K. I paid them aprox. $40K in advisory fees to lose me another $70K! I know that the market was a not the best during this time, but I can compare them to my other investments during that time. I didn't have all of my assets under their advisement. That's the madding thing, my smaller investments (work 401K) not only recovered within that same time frame (as did my wife's), but had a positive return by the time I left CWM (4-5%). In addition, I had purchased some securities on my own (unfortunately only a small fraction to what they were managing, $40Kish) and I was almost double by the time I left CWM (since then they have continued to do very well and I am now over 100% return). They were recommended to me by a friend that had invested with them during the boom times (2002-2005) and had made a lot of money for them, however when thing got tough, these guys fell on their faces. In my opinion, they have no clue of what they are doing.
