In the beginning Kevin was very professional and responded quickly. He asked great questions, and we were fully prepared to pay him for his work. All of the sudden he went radio silent. When we followed up 5 times over the course of 9 days, he said he had no idea what we were doing, that that he couldn't work with us anymore. This was very confusing because we had answered every question he asked as specifically as possible, and 9 days prior wanted to know how long it would take to get the work done and if he needed anything else from us to get started. We were shocked to say the least, especially as we poured over our email communication, trying to see if we missed anything. It's hard to believe we could have all that communication in writing, and for him to think his response was appropriate or professional. Perhaps he thought we were just using him? We certainly didn't want him to feel that way, and it was never our intention. This would have been a colossal miscommunication, because as I mentioned, we were prepared to pay him for his work at any moment. When I do work for my clients, I make sure to get payment when it is appropriate. It seems as if he was sick of us and passive aggressively terminated our relationship - when all that was needed was a little clarification. We literally thought we hired him. We were hoping to form a long term relationship and use Kevin as our primary lawyer, given his other stellar reviews and our initial experience with him. We can't give one star because of how the relationship started, but also can't give 3 because both parties involved wasted a lot of time (and we didn't want to waste anyone's time, his or ours), and we're not actually getting any work done. read more

Not only that, Attorney Steinberg just follow-uped with me 9/17/19 to see how everything turned out. That is really going the extra mile, especially for someone that is not your client. ---- review: On this past Sunday, I found myself in a VERY stressful situation. My limited scope attorney called me Saturday afternoon and thought it better I attend my hearing this up coming Monday alone. It was a hearing on a complex case and I knew going in alone was a mistake, I had NO idea how to handle the situation. Nonetheless I needed help, insight, a second opinion, something. All day Saturday I tried to get a hold of a lawyer to no avail. On Sunday, last ditch effort, I found an attorney whose profile said they were open 24hrs so I sent a message. I received back not just one, but five messages from different law firms. They all just said at best "Sorry, can't help". But one bright light in the crowd that wasn't even the attorney I sent the message to, brought a sense of comfort, simply because the message had a quality of humanity to it.
