My friend told me about Robyn's Inn and suggested it would be the perfect place. I stopped by the Inn today and checked it out! WOW.....I am beyond impressed with this modern, chic Inn. They offer several room options and the décor throughout, simply stated, stunning. The Inn is just a few step away from downtown Plymouth, which will be very convenient for me. She knows her way around so please feel welcomed to ask her for directions. Her cozy abode is quirky at first but you'll be drawn by the deep passion this lady has for these knickknacks. Home is well furnished: community bathroom, community kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and dining room (red room) for breakfast. Very clean and full of color. She cooks a pretty good "eggs in a basket" dish that's a scramble of eggs, asparagus, almonds, cranberries, and chicken/asiago cheese sausages. Croissant (so good!), coffee, tea, and orange juice is also available. She's very accommodating so don't be afraid to ask. The only issues we came across were the extra soft beds and fleece sheets that may be uncomfortable for some. Room's aren't too spacious but enough to house two people comfortably (but who stays in on a vacation?). She does have cats but they stay in her room and may roam in the breakfast area. I'm allergic to cats but they were not a problem for me at all. Please do keep the library bed and breakfast in mind the next time you come to Ann Arbor as her price is comparable and she'll make your experience a pleasurable memory!

The owner, Joan Knoertzer, indicated that she was late for an appointment, but asked for a minute, then came back and told us to come by anyway! We arrive to a non-description residence covered with grapevines and trees on Mary Street, just off the busy corner of Packard and State. You could almost throw a rock and hit the Athletic Administration building we were so close! We parked on the street and walked up the curving steps to warmly greeted by a wonderful lady decked out in full Maize and Blue. This was just the beginning, as we entered which could best described as a bibliophile paradise crossed with a museum to all things Ann Arbor/ U of M. Climbing the steps, you first encounter the Poetry and Mystery Rooms, followed by a full Pullman kitchen and sitting area. If your into Ann Arbor's past, you'll find two great hanging lights from the old Pretzel Bell Restaurant, surrounded by books of all types. Last is the Tiny Book Room, which is filled with - you guessed it - tiny books. We had a great dinner later than night at Melting Pot (review forthcoming) and went to bed early and slept great. We woke up the next morning to amazing smells coming from downstairs, where we and another couple were greeted to fresh coffee, OJ, homemade pumpkin bread and pumpkin butter! This was followed by a fruit course and an amazing quiche. Mixed with a wonderful conversation, we felt like we were totally at home. Even the three cats, Kipling, Cinnamon and, well, I forget the third, treated us well. We then spent the next hour talking about everything books - we just didn't want to leave! Trust me, there is no better place to stay in AA, especially for the price and the food. Try it, you won't be sorry!

Well after a day from hell, I couldn't wait to get to the hotel to relax…read more I used the app which had me for only one night when it was originally for 2 and then I revised the reservation by phone from 2 to 3 days...even though this was supposedly completely by reservation, it wasn't and it couldn't be completed because the original reservation was prepaid... what a disaster and unfortunately I had a little melt down as I couldn't take one more thing that day go wrong, and worried what to do about the last day... The manager actually came to my room and she was very kind and helpful to me, and she got the needed solution and all is good. I in good conscience had to apologize for being so emotional due to "stuff". I would rate the manager 5 star. now the hotel rooms needs remodeled and updated badly. The furniture is old, chipped and dented. It would be nice to have it donated. The bathroom under the sink is dirty and my room needs dusted badly. The furniture piece with the coffee maker definitely needs wiped down. Streaks on the mirrors, the toilet was clogged (they did come right away and fix it) and there were fingernails by the desk on the floor. The tub caulk is all over the tub and there is a good amount of exposed mold and mold coming through it. The rooms are very nice sized with a Samsung TV and a very large closet, full length mirror, iron, etc. The air conditioner worked very well. There is a bath with a shower and very nice thick towels, Evelyn and Crabtree bath products that smelled wonderful and lots of hot water and wonderful massage shower head. The bath actually holds water when filled and the water goes down the drain which is unheard of in a hotel. The lobby is updated and modern. I didn't use the restaurant but noticed there was no coffee urns downstairs. There is a Keurig with pods in the room with cream, a small microwave and hotel sized refrigerator, all worked fine. I didn't use the pool, didn't know they had one until reading other reviews. It is located right off of an exit, has a golf course, two shopping centers, restaurants, gas station, grocery store on the next block so convenient is definitely there for you. Would I stay here again, yes because of the manager and her kindness.

Attended a wedding at St. Joseph's down the street and didn't want to spend so much money for two…read morenights at their hotel. The Hilton was down the street and around the corner, and we got what we paid for. The first room assigned to us smelled like cigarettes, and the next room smelled musty. The water pressure for the shower was one of a fire hose. You aren't prepared for it and it hits you in the face. On top of that, our tub was clogged. We had to run the shower, turn it off to clean and then turn it back on to rinse off. This place is good for a 2-night stay only. However, greet customer service.

The hospitality and food are good, and the rooms are nice and spacious. There is ample parking in the back, and a nice patio to hang out on. It's only 2-3 blocks from a few decent restaurants on the main drag of Ypsilanti; it's also that close to a park and a nice walking trail. And the price was about the same as the cheaper chain hotels nearby. We also made some friends while we were there, who we still keep up with...just one of those random things that might happen at a B&B, you never know...

That is evident in the way she treats her customers and tends to the actual building itself.
