I initially found the venue through a comment on a Reddit thread about Metro-Detroit venues and I'm so glad I stumbled upon it. As soon as we toured the building and saw the gorgeous 1920s architecture, we knew we'd found the right place. As the building was formerly a Masonic Temple, the craftsmanship and design flourishes in the building were absolutely unmatched compared to anywhere else we looked. We did our rehearsal dinner the night before in The Pontiac Lounge, our ceremony and reception in The Crystal Ballroom, then threw an afterparty in The Speakeasy Lounge downstairs. We had a total of roughly 170 guests, but they have space for a lot more than that if you need it. It was such a fun party and our guests (and vendors!) spoke so highly of the space, the food, the staff and the atmosphere. The entire process was unbelievably smooth. Everything went flawlessly before, during and after. That's a testament to the whole team that made it happen there. From the initial tour, to tastings, to setup and teardown, everyone was so helpful and easy to work with. They execute events with unrivaled professionalism and experience, which in turn, removed a ton of stress from our planning process. A few other perks and great things worth mentioning: -There is plenty of free parking, which is a huge bonus and made the travel logistics very simple. -There are a bunch of cool spots within walking distance in Downtown Pontiac that we used for exterior photos. Lots of great architecture and murals as backdrops. -There are several other gorgeous rooms available in the building, that they could honestly accommodate your wedding in a million different ways. -The food was incredible. -The Crystal Ballroom has beautiful architectural details (insanely cool handcrafted woodwork, trim, etc.). The decor of the room is so good on its own, that we didn't have to bring in a ton of outside decorations. -Our main points of contact were the owners (and it's worth mentioning that this is a family-owned business). You can tell they really love what they do and have a passion for their events, food and historic building. -The new floors in the bar area upstairs are gorgeous. The new chandeliers and work they've done in the Speakeasy is stunning. -On that note, the Speakeasy was a great party space (my wife and I DJ'd the afterparty along with some other musician friends and it was a great way to top off the night). -We did every single thing we wanted at a price point that was right in our budget. Our wedding looked and felt like it cost much, much more than we paid. To Greg, Rob, Ryan, Lauren and the whole team: thank you so much. 10/10 every step of the way. The brothers were all so nice and present throughout the entire process, along with Lauren, always stopping at every table to make sure you have everything you need. I love that they even have the bar open during the testings. The day of my wedding went perfect. They fed everyone so fast, and everyone complimented the food. We provided our own charger plates and this facility even washed them all for us before we went to pick them up the next day. They had the few things we left in an area for us, loading everything in and out was perfect, I just loved it. They really made my wedding day so special. I recommend them to everyone. We toured numerous venues and as soon as we saw this one it was a no brainer. We booked the Crystal Ballroom and it was just so amazing. We loved it. It's also a great venue to have kids.

"Review #500" :-D…read more October 31, 2024 On Friday October 4th I attended a Beautiful Fall wedding at The Pine Knob Mansion for My Dear and Close friends Phil & Jessica. The main road entrance starts with a welcome sign to Pine Knob Golf Course. The winding road will lead you pass the greens with golfers, then several expensive residential homes. There are two venue banquet buildings called The Carriage and this one called The Pine Knob Mansion. Both have valet parking service at their entrance doors. My photos attached will show how wonderful this place was from start to finish. The ceremony was outside in the Garden Gazebo area overlooking the ski lifts and property of Pine Knob with fold up chairs on the grass area. This venue can accommodate all seasons of the year for many memorable and personal events. The outdoor brick patio was large enough for both cocktail hour after ceremony and again in the evening with a DJ for music and dancing. The Bride and Groom performed their special dances together on it plus with their parents. The wedding and party time continued till midnight! The efficient servers were very attentive when eating the plated sit-down dinner. They also served refill of waters quickly too. The Formal banquet room was very elegant with Chiavari Chairs, along with great lighting. Check out my attached photos of Jess and Phil's special and lovely wedding which expresses it all! The Food was Fantastic and Oh My Deeeelicious along with Great plate presentation! This location can be found on The Knot and has different price packages based on your event for food and desserts. My Friends Phi and Jess opted to bring in their own seasonal desserts with cider and donuts along with mini parfait desserts for that special Fall Style Theme. My photos attached shows a wooden wall with pegs on it for displaying the variety of donuts. What a wonderful and impeccable wedding venue for Phil & Jessica. Apparently on weekends they rent space out for other events while people aren't using the office space area. It looks like a pleasurable space where I would set my office, and could work from no problem. I don't know what the prices are so it's really hard to comment on how that would work but from looking at some of the offices I saw there in they're two story building, someone could basically hold a meeting in the meeting space, have lunch in the lunch area with a client, and then have their own private workspace. The bathrooms are clean, and the air is very professional.

The meal is rounded out with fresh fruit and hot coffee. Oh stop by the coffee cart for fresh baked cookies if you need an afternoon or bedtime snack before turning in for the night.
