The guy in the front is very entertaining- but the girl who did my nails Madison was not kind and not super helpful especially when I couldn't find the color I wanted. They barely filed my nails but still charged a $10 nail cut down fee. Making my total $90 for a super simple manicure. The quality is not bad though, just would like a little better customer service, but she could have just been having a bad day... so don't rule it out. Good for bachelorette groups. read more

When visiting Charleston, we had a few hours in between check out and our flight. We used an app to have The Best Nail Bar hold our bags while we explored the city more. Kevin could not have been more welcoming & this is one of the most beautiful nail salons I've seen! Once we picked our bags, he let us sit there as long as needed while we waited on our uber and he also lent me a phone charger so I didn't have to dig mine out. While this is about bag service and not the nails service, when I am back in Charleston this is where I'll be coming for my nails! The Best Nail Bar is a large nail salon with a variety of pedicure and manicure options. If you're looking for efficiency for reasonable prices knowing they'll attempt to upsell you then this is the perfect location. I found The Best Nail Bar searching on-line and booked my appointment 48 hours in advance. The check-in process was easy - I signed in through a tablet and was led to one of their thirty plus pedicure stations. The scale of the operation was astounding as I have not been anywhere with this many pedicure or manicure stations. It felt very new and shiny with immaculate rows of nail polish, bright lights, and a super clean interior. Run by Vietnamese immigrants the Perfect Nail Bar is efficient. I watched the small, but mighty, staff work from person to person, help each other out, and quickly greet every person who entered. I was disappointed in some of my fellow customers witnessing them treat the staff with little respect but thankfully they were few in number that day. Their level of service is astounding - for example one woman was walking with her sandals in hand and two technicians jumped up, rushed over, and helped her put on her sandals. Most places I've been to simply hands over disposable flip flops. My technician Sarah would often talk to the others in Vietnamese. When I inquired what she was saying - as I noticed there was little conversation - she explained she was keeping them on track. Sarah had command of the place ensuring everyone was greeted. Sarah was great - she was frequently pulled away, and super apologetic each time but it wasn't like I was left with nothing - I had my mimosa, my massage chair, and my nails were drying. I mentioned upselling and indeed I experienced that, but also fully agreed to it. My feet were a wreck and then Sarah pointed out my hands which upon inspection I realized were littered with hangnails and uneven nails. I ended up with the Best Lovable Pedicure - I can't say I noticed anything with the golden soaking, but the herbal neck wrap was nice and the golden masque, hot towels, and paraffin treatment was decadent. The hot stone massage was also fabulous. Sarah made my feet oh so pretty! I also added a regular manicure which Sarah conducted at the same station my feet was worked on which was nice. She listened to my desires to not have a nail polish to maintain and recommended a lovely very light pink, almost clear. My nails are fabulous! I left approximately two hours later feeling like a refreshed woman. I was so impressed! read more

Visited this spot while we were in town. We actually happened upon it while we were walking, quickly scoped it out on Yelp (always a must with nail salons), and decided to pop in for a couple pedicures. The service was actually really fantastic and we were both very happy with our pedicures. I will note, the color I chose looked nothing on my toes like it did in the book of colors. I had to choose a different one, and ran into the same issue. Eventually I just settled on something that wasn't quite the color I wanted, but seemed easier than trying to find the perfect shade I was looking for. Honestly the worst nail experience I have had in Charleston. The nail tech was extremely salesy and tried to push the more expensive services on me. I declined, and it made me feel very uncomfortable for the remainder of my visit- especially since it seemed the staff was talking about me after. After going a few times, for the convenience, the price was okay, but the last 2 pedicures have chipped within days. $75 and 3 of my toenails are already visibly chipped. The atmosphere and energy is great but I've been disappointed with quality. First I have to say that I had to look at Google reviews for this place since they only had one and I'm not sure why because they have been open for a while. They were friendly when I arrived and I was seated right away as it was not busy. My problem was I hate when people try to get me to do something I did not ask for as if it is my first time or I not know what I want. I always get regular polish on my toes because it last at least a month for me but whatever they did to the polish that is not the case. I also did not understand why they charged for the removal of the polish since anywhere else I go that is free. When I checked out it sounded like they change the prices and try to up charge. read more

I was happy with my gel manicure quality, and the friendly service staff. They offer mimosas. However, they were pushy about putting tips on my nails, which was a different type of gel nail manicure and a LOT more expensive. They did not tell me this. It destroyed my nails trying to get it off at the following nail salon a month later. read more

I got a dip manicure and the polish started peeling after a couple of days. I went back to have it fixed and they did so no problem; however, a few days after, my other fingers started peeling as well.
