My friend group has been meeting at this Stella Nova location since 2020. Overall, it has been a great spot to grab a coffee and maybe some breakfast, connect, and have a conversation. Over the last couple of weeks there has been an obvious shift. Our recent visit on 4/29 was disappointing. First, my order was wrong. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese wrap and a coffee & was given a bacon egg and cheese wrap. Before my friend group arrived, I was having a conversation with some gentlemen who are also regulars. The music was so loud I couldn't hear them from an arms length apart. He mentioned he had already requested for the music to be slightly adjusted, and they refused to turn it down. We sat for a little bit longer and it was impossible to converse, so I went to the front and also requested for the music to be slightly turned down. I felt like I had to yell just for the server to hear me. The barista barely made eye contact, kind of rolled his eyes, and nodded his head. No one ever turned down the music. Don't get me wrong, I love having some background music, but it was absurd that we couldn't even hold a normal conversation. Also, it was about 7:00AM. It's not like they were preparing to shut down the store. I just felt it was incredibly rude and it's disappointing that what used to be our go-to place is now somewhere we are considering to go elsewhere due to the mere disrespect, overall environment and poor customer service. read more

Popped into this coffee shop with a few coworkers before a morning meeting, and I was a big fan! It's very cute inside with nice open seating and space. Staff were quick with orders even with a steady flow of being busy. The parking lot was full on a Thursday at 9:30am. I tried a chai tea latte ordered right off menu, but I regretted not making some alterations. I should have asked for a different milk and way less sweetness. It was delicious but way too sweet. Second time at a Stella Nova. I had visited the one in Edmond recently and loved the art on the walls there. The art at this location was just as cool. Five of us met here for a morning of work. We grabbed a communal table and got to it. I tried the spinach danish and that in itself would keep me coming back. I loved the latte too. Super smooth. Stella nova is still 3 stars for me. Took about 15-20 min to get my iced coffee Friday late morning which is a lesson learned not to stop on my way to work with only 10 min to spare! The last time I came I ordered a potato burrito, but was given a bacon one that I couldn't eat. I explained the situation today, hoping that I could just get a potato burrito for free, but I had to pay for it which is okay but I was kinda hoping for them to at least apologize lols. My blueberry Cubans is good but the sugar at the bottom is crunchy and it's kinda giving Dunkin' Donuts. Excellent place for coffee/pastries and this location is great because they have a very convenient and quick drive-thru. I've been to this place multiple times (both through the drive-thru and in person) and have not been disappointed by their coffee/tea and pastry selections. This time I got a lemon poppy muffin as well as an iced chai tea. I think one of the times I got one of their French bread/ham sandwiches, which was also pretty good. The well-lit interior also features cool art, swag you can buy and plenty of comfortable couches/chairs/tables you can sit at. There is also a location downtown, but this one has the advantage due to having a larger space and also the drive-thru. read more

Got a medium caramel macchiato with oat milk, which cost $5-6. Alternative milk additions were around $0.60 extra. The drink didn't arrive as hot as I would've liked, but it tasted good overall and the oat milk was nice and creamy. The barista who took our order was relatively friendly and patient as we decided what to order. The space itself provided lots of seating options, and the chairs were padded and comfortable. While there were a decent number of people meeting in the space, the noise was surprisingly not bad at all. The staff is always kind, however the drinks often don't live up to expectations. Today I asked for a medium oat milk latte with an extra shot and pumpkin spice. The ticket sticker on the cup says "pumpkin spice latte M.Add single". They forgot to put oat milk on the ticket. The drink itself tastes like it was made with whole milk, is watered down, and is missing the pumpkin spice. The last time I visited I was disappointed with the coffee as well. It tastes less like espresso shots and more like drip coffee with milk. This review is meant to help others who may be looking for more flavorful espresso like me. I would recommend Elemental or Classen coffee before this Stella Nova on Western. I will add though, that the ambiance is nice. First Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) of the fall season for me! I ordered a medium with 3/4 pumps of PSL syrup and coconut milk in lieu of that of the good 'ol cow. $5.50 (kind of an ouch, but I also asked for it). My plastic mug was a bit shocking and underwhelming at first, but after 15 minutes, the quarter mug of coffee was still warm! I realized that there is an insulating vacuum airspace within. The whip top was fun - a bit of an orange hue and sprinkled with cinnamon! I was really happy with every aspect of it. PS flavor blended and balanced perfectly with the coffee tones. I am in love with the rolling leather arm chairs by the 2-person window seats. SO comfortable and just the right height for the table! Lots of happy natural sunlight and cozy colors. WHY 4 STARS??? I came in to study, planned to be here for a few hours. The price, though a biiit steep, is NOTHING compared to the FRIGID, WINTER BLIZZARD that is the temp of this place. The thorough overhead ductwork leaves no corner untouched. As lovely as the physical atmosphere is, the temp slowly ruins it for me. I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt and shorts, which normally suffices at coffee shops-- but it does not. Not even close. My bag has become a blanket and my earphones are earmuffs! At the point my fingers lose feeling and my frozen ears may snap off, the AC subsides and I quit packing my stuff up and stay for another round of it. Argh. Brr. I've been searching earlier this morning to get some good quality coffee with dairy substitutes available and a variety of options that was near me. This fit the bill. You have espresso options, brewed, classics and frappes! As far as dairy substitutes go, they have coconut, soy, oat and almond! I'm so happy about the oat milk choice. My new favorite that not everyone carries just yet. They have a full bakery and to my surprise that immediately sold me was VEGAN BURRITO! Say what?! They also have oatmeal and overnight oats. Have they been in my head this whole time? I understand now why it was so busy this manic Monday morning -- and well worth it! Sometimes I just don't want something sweet with my coffee.. and I'm glad they had other options. VERY AFFORDABLE! Especially when compared to other places. I spent about $8.25 for my medium coffee and burrito. I consider that a good steal bc of some places a vegan toast is $8 alone without a drink. My iced caramel oat milk coffee was really good! It's refreshing and makes me feel like I'm ready to conquer the day without feeling weighed down or want to curl up back in bed. I love the flavors they incorporated considering it's different than my traditional homemade burritos but it works so well! I have no idea what happened to this place but it's like every time I go it keeps getting worse and worse. What's even more heartbreaking is that the employees don't even care. The person who prepared my sandwich shoved the bag to the cashier (which bless her heart paid her the dirty look I needed to give..but unfortunately still gave me the soggy sandwich nonetheless) but they had the audacity to tell the cashier "It's Okay! Great coffee shop to study, meet up with a friend and chat, or settle in with a good book. They have the most comfortable chairs. It can get loud at times, though. They have good coffee. I'm a big fan of their frappes. I like that they have unique flavors, such as blue raspberry, as well as, classics like vanilla and caramel. My only complaint is that they are severely limited on parking. I know there's nothing they can do about it. Sometimes I park at the gas station next door. read more

What a great find for coffee in the OKC area. It's always fun to try new coffee spots and Stella Nova was a pleasant surprise. I like that it's on Western Avenue where there are other great shops and restaurants nearby. It's also spacious on the inside and a great place to get some work done or meet with a study group. Husband and I stopped by here for coffee on a Saturday morning. We walked in and were greeted by all 3 of the people working behind the counter. The place was clean and very modern those were my very first impressions. Definitely newer and crisper feel than any starbucks. Besides, I like trying local places better anyways. The coffee itself was okay nothing to rave about. We both preferred coffee jerks coffee over Stella Nova but this place wasn't bad we would try it again. They had a convenient drive thru that wasn't in any sort of line and the staff was fix at fixing our drinks. I did happen to notice all of the huge bakery selection they had from cookies, cinnamon rolls to huge chocolate pastries that I wanted to try so badly! However, I had stomach issues so passed that morning. Another thing I noticed is that they had a huge selection of shirts, mugs, and their own branded coffee. Right by these items was a freezer full of Roxy's ice cream which if you haven't had their local ice cream snag some of that here too- you'll thank me. Try the strawberry, just do it! read more

I'm surprised to see so many mixed reviews. The 3 times I've gone to Stella Nova, I've had nothing but positive experiences. Everyone who works there seems so happy to help you choose the perfect drink. I've had an iced coffee twice & a chai latte once. The iced coffee both time was good -- not sure I've found a flavoring I like most just yet, but definitely had a heavy dose of caffeine for me. I don't often drink a lot of coffee, so that might be why. The chai was recommended to me. I would have preferred more spice, but that's just my preference. The ambiance is nice - plenty of space to get work done, with a lot of natural lighting. Highly recommend for folks needing to take care of business or just wanting a new place to chat w/ friends. Lots of seating options & looks like there may be a reservable space for a little friend or family gathering (for 10 folks or so). I'll def be back. read more

The one star is for the staff. They are very friendly and I really appreciate that. Besides that, my mocha was horrible - the barista basically had to ask me how to make it ........ & my chicken salad wrap was terrible. Very friendly staff, beautiful interior. A little loud inside so it wouldn't be perfect for studying or work that requires great focus. What a wonderful new coffeeshop on Western! I've been watching them build their business whenever i'm driving down Western & I was so excited to see what was inside! I have not tried Stella Nova in Norman so my review is based on this experience alone. I went to their soft opening on a Monday night & the staff were beyond wonderful and welcoming. I walked in close to closing & timidly asked if they were still serving coffee or anything. I didn't want to be that rude customer ordering when they're trying to close for the evening & know most places close down their machines in those last few moments before closing. The staff welcomed my friend & I warmly & were so sweet. The colors inside are a warm orange & light grey. It didn't hurt that there was a nice drizzle outside so being inside Stella Nova made me feel so cozy. The space was very open with big with beautiful windows looking out at the parking lot & Western Avenue. The lighting was just right to me. It brightened the space without overwhelming it. They have ceiling lights right above the coffee bar & beautiful handmade lamp lights that say Stella Nova as well. The chairs and tables are spacious and perfect for studying or catching up with friends. On the right hand wall is a beautiful wooden shelf with T-shirts, coffee, & other merchandise you can purchase aesthetically laid out. I wasn't sure what to get so I ordered a flat white as well as a chocolate danish while my friend ordered an iced latte and cronut. I am lactose intolerant and the barista immediately told me about their soy milk, coconut milk, & almond milk options. I always appreciate a place that has options. The flat white was piping hot & just what I expected. I doctored mine up with even more sugar. The chocolate danish was beautiful to look at & delicious in taste. I saved the other half for breakfast the next morning. They have quite a but of bakery options that are displayed in a brightly lit refrigerated window. The prices are fair and typical of a local coffee shop. I cannot compliment the staff enough. Whitney, Lauren, & everyone else at Stella Nova made my friend & I feel welcome, even though we came in so late. They took the time to answer any questions we had & asked us about ourselves as well. They were rockstars. Since my friend & I went so late, the place was pretty empty & the baristas had time to make conversation as they were completing their closing duties.
