I loved the funkiness of the whole menu online--each drink has its own picture, logo, and unique name, which made ordering feel like part of the experience. You can tell they put a lot of thought into their brand. I went about 10 minutes before closing, and there were only two cars in front of me, so the wait wasn't bad at all. My husband got the peanut butter drink, and I ordered the banana phone --both were absolutely delicious. The service was amazing. Even right before closing, the employee was friendly, asked how our day was, and made us feel welcomed. I've been a regular here and genuinely enjoyed their matcha, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I placed an order through an online ordering site that was fully accessible to the public, complete with their entire menu and pricing listed. Shortly after, I received a message saying they don't actually offer online ordering and that I should "refrain from using it in the future." No apology or anything. While they did refund me, the tone of the message made it seem like I had done something wrong for using a website that was publicly available. When I expressed that it felt unprofessional to have an active ordering site just to send a mean message to customers telling them not to use it, the response blamed it on a "mercury retrograde glitch in the matrix." That kind of response felt dismissive instead of taking accountability. An entire menu with pricing doesn't just accidentally upload itself. Mistakes happen- I completely understand that. But how a business handles those mistakes matters. A simple apology and acknowledgment that it was their oversight would have gone a long way. Instead, the communication felt defensive and very unprofessional. I hope they resolve whatever backend issue they're having so other customers don't have the same experience. Wow what a lovely experience. Got to chat with one of the owners, and he was so nice. They ask what level of sweetness you want in your coffee which is SO appreciated because I feel like most places make their drinks way too sweet unless I remember to ask. The specials are unique, but I like that there's only three at a time so you're not overwhelmed. The menu has just enough options on it. Topeka are solid coffee beans also. Really intentional shop. We always try to find a local coffee shop when we're visiting an area. We read about Gold Dome and their famous sourdough cinnamon rolls that are only served on Saturdays and we had to try it. We were surprised by the drive-thru line when we got there, but it was well worth the wait!!! The latte was made with pistachio milk and it was delicious. The scone was INSANELY tasty.
