This review is long overdue. Stella is my Fairy Godmother for my skin. I visited her in October 2018 for my first facial ever! I came in feeling nervous since I never allowed anyone else to touch my skin. But Stella made me feel secure, safe, and confident. I left with a new skin and days after my facial I noticed a positive difference! My acne was diminishing, my pores were nonexistent, and my skin looked beautiful! I visited Stella again in January of 2019. My skin underwent an allergic reaction from a makeup primer. I broke out like never before. I knew one person could help me with this situation and that was Stella. On my second visit, we tried microdermabrasion and I loved it. So after a two-plus year lay-off and a number of facials by other practitioners a little closer to home, I circled back to Stella and her new spot in Sherman Oaks. It is rare for me to leave Yelp reviews, and unprecedented to give two reviews to one person. But she is that good. So good that I got to her from Santa Monica. She is by far the best esthetician I have ever worked with. I have had great facials before but Stella is beyond that. She has the meat and potatoes stuff down cold but also provides a number of services and skills that most others are not privy too or trained in. For example, she employs a face massage technique that is actually from inside the mouth and works wonders. This is in addition to more traditional facial massage that put me to sleep it was so relaxing. There treatment seemed to be curated specifically for my needs. There was clear discussion along the way of what was being done and why. At the end I could see a decrease in inflammation and much cleaner and clearer skin. Even with some minor swelling from extraction the results were obvious. And by the next day it was even more dramatic. Clearly she takes pride in what she does and enjoys taking care of faces. And her new spot is really nice and easy. If you want to step up your face game you should give Stella a try. She is amazing and also warm. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. First of all, she was ready for me upon arrival, so sweet and welcoming, immediately I loved her energy. She examined my skin while discussing my skin care routine and goals and offered some really great advise - never pushed her products once! Even when I offered to buy something, she gave me some samples to use first. WOW!??! I love Stella's philosophy. She respects skin. She doesn't just extract every little possible blemish. Don't get me wrong, she's absolutely thorough, but she only extracts the pimples that are ready, thus not leaving marks on your face that don't go away for days and look worse than the tiny pimples themselves. Stella is AMAZING! The first thing I remember loving about her is her knowledge - not only of the ways to keep the skin beautiful externally but also by what you put into your body. She turned me onto a nutritionist whose book is changing my life. I had a dermatologist once say to me that what you eat has no effect on the skin. I couldn't believe a derm would say something so naive. Every visit with Stella is educational for me. Throughout my life (I'm in my 30s), I had terrible skin issues which resulted in some scarring. Stella is very successfully lessening the scarring and my skin looks great. You'd never know I was an acne sufferer. The second thing I remember loving about Stella is how thorough she is. I feel like she treats my face like her own and wants to make sure she's attended to every area before I leave her table. I never feel like she's rushed or bored with what she's doing. I recently moved to a new apartment and in the craziness of packing and unpacking I wasn't eating as well as normal plus I hadn't seen Stella in a couple months. The facial brought up some cystic acne which literally came to the surface and healed in 24 hours.
