Our trip was several months ago. I waited a while to write this review. As I think about this…read morevacation, the only part I would remove, is using this agency. I felt like I did double work, meaning the work the agency should have performed was now dropped on us. The source for our trip also offered promotions that cut our cost substantially, but sadly we were not eligible for any refunds due to booking with an agency. I'm fine with that, that's the cost we pay for assistance. However, if agent spent more time on helping me with this vacation experience instead of letting me know about her free vacation, this review would be a different story to tell. The agent said repeatedly that she was leaving on vacation and we needed to complete some documents. Her anxiety became my anxiety. I didn't understand what she needed just that she didn't want to be at work anymore. I felt rushed and like the experience was very sales driven. No one could answer any of my questions honestly. In the end, I became my own agent and called the source directly where my questions were answered in less than 10 minutes. Very disappointing.

I am a somewhat experienced cruiser and I asked Expedia CruiseShipCenters to help me plan a cruise…read moreon Princess in Europe. I ended up on the Viking Cruises instead at their recommendation and the cruise was amazing. The ship is beautiful, and it comes with wifi, tours and wine or beer with meals all included - at NO extra cost. I love Princess but Viking Cruises was amazing, and I never would have known about them otherwise. The tours were daily, with small groups and headset hearing devices so we could always hear the guide and not get lost. We were in port almost every day for 12 days, so this not "just" a cruise, it was a travel experience where we saw a LOT of Europe with none of the inconvenience of train rides, catching taxis or flights, etc. It's a fantastic way to travel. Great food, get staterooms, and none of the hassle of travel (we sailed by night and woke up in a new city every day) The ticketing and conveyance of all details (hotels, flights, transfers) by Mary at Expedia Cruiseshipcenters was on top of the situation at every step. It was a real comfort to know they were there for us to keep our vacation plans on track. I will do it again as soon as I can get the time off for another cruise. Highly recommended!!

Great travel company. They helped my daughter with some travel plans last month and did a fine job…read more They are located in a little strip mall at the corner of Evergreen St. In Point Loma and have been in business for 39 years. Not bad. According to their website, Acacia Travel has "400 years combined travel experience and (they have) collectively traveled to over 200 countries." If you call Acacia, they offer a "complimentary consultation appointment." Also, they seem to do a lot of business travel arrangements and overseas trips. For those in need of some aid in making travel and touring arrangements, Acacia is the way to go. Not everyone can get on the computer and find the cheapest airfare or the best hotel to stay at. The pros here know their way around these things and appear to be very good with details. Particularly if you are making plans to take complicated trips, or go to multiple destinations or go abroad with multiple generations in tow. 5 YELP STARS for some great travel expertise.

He…read moreclaims to be an expert on Portugal but that was proven to be BS when we arrived at the dump he booked us into in Lisbon. We had friends in Lisbon who warned us that the Hotel Mundial was not in a good neighborhood and sadly in need of renovation, but when we told this the Mr. Baptista he shrugged it off and said that our friends didn't know anything. What a fool he is! And what fools we were to trust him! Our friends are very well known people in Portugal who had a reception for us when we arrived with the Naval Attache, the ambassador, and the President's wife attending. They forgot more about Lisbon and Portutgal than this agent knows. We should have listened to them and made him book a different hotel. The shower didn't work and they never fixed it. The tub was full of rust. The complimentary breakfast was all but inedible and the free WiFi was a lie. The hotel staff was extremely rude and the only good thing they did was warn us not to go out in the neighborhood at night. Mr. Baptista booked us on a flight with a one hour connection in Philadelphia, which is a nightmare of an airport. Our flight ran 15 minutes late and we missed our connection to Portugal. Any decent agent should know that one hour is never enough, but when confronted with this he assured us it was fine. It would take more time and space than I am willing to spend to tell you of the screw-ups by this agent. Needless to say his reputation amongst the Portuguese community in San Diego will be severely questioned as two of our group are Portuguese and have already told many of their friends to avoid him at all costs.

TRIPLE AAA (4.5 stars)…read more Towing is not cheap, call around and find out!!! I've decided to get Triple A (Plus) membership for just roadside assistance. And let me tell you, WORTH the money. But you may ask why if you have full coverage with + roadside assistance thru insurance. Did you know using roadside assistance that you pay for with your insurance can boost up premiums because every call would be considered a claim. I don't want to take the chance there since I already pay an arm and leg to Progressive. Triple A offers (3) different plans. I went for the Plus Plan for roadside assistance + Motorcycle roadside assistance. After signing up I was able to start using the service on day one BUT even if you are on a higher plan (paid for and everything), for the first week grace period your services are on the lower plan - didn't like this but I get it, had to deduct half a star rating for that. Lowest plan only tows 7 miles free. Any mile after that you work with the contracted tow how much the charge... I was quoted $12 per additional mile. Not bad $48 to take me to my destination. It was either $48, use my roadside with insurance and get a ding with a claim, OR pay $350-400 for a normal tow... to tow 11 miles. SITUATION. BMW replaced my fuel pump couple months ago so this should no longer be a problem. Either there is a fault somewhere or a false-positive sensor read sending to my computer. I got my BMW towed from my home to BMW service for further diagnostics (do not drive if a fuel pump warning appears on your computer - risky). After scheduling a service I got quoted 1hr wait. That was fine because I was home and wasn't pressed for time. HOWEVER, triple a quickly sent someone and they were at my home in a short time. Ready to go in front of my garage! The person who helped me was named Ivan and he was super chill and we chopped it up a bit driving to BMW's Service dept. Afterwards, triple a called me to ask about my experience and all that good stuff. Overall excellent service and customer service. Did you know... you can use your tows not just on your cars, as long as you are present you can use your tows. So, let me tell you this... NOBODY should be using all their plan's tows within a year (if so that means you need a new mechanic or a new car). If you ever need a tow, see if your friends or family have a plan and use one of their tows. It will save you $400! My car is safely with BMW - thanks to Triple A. On a side note, I may need to tell BMW how to do their job - if it's not the HPFP (that was recently replaced), then might be the EKPS. If both are good and warning still comes up and car shuts off, the ln it's a heat-related component failure. Test the LPFP and connection, test the psi or the voltage. While at it, test the Crankshaft Position Sensor for any faults. Do your job so Triple A doesn't have to do theirs!

If you're just a "little guy", you'll still get good service here. Their van service is pretty…read moreamazing. They'll take you wherever you want to go and pick you up when you call. The kid who drives the van is cool. You can fly there in your little airplane and they'll pull up in a van and drive you to their terminal. Once you've checked in, they'll take you wherever you want to go in town. We went to tour the USS Midway. If you buy fuel there -- their minimum is fine for a single engine, I think it was $25 -- they'll only charge you $10/day to tie down overnight. I didn't do that, but will if I ever take a cruise out of San Diego. Can't park a car that cheap. I didn't use their computer for flight planning because I get all that with my iPad, but their systems and pilot lounge looked pretty good. Good luck getting in and out of the field. Has nothing to do with the FBO but with one runway and lots of scheduled aircraft that means you'll get to sit and burn a lot of fuel before you're told to "line up and wait", with a wake turbulence warning LOL. Lean it out real good before you taxi and maybe you'll save some coin :-D Coming in, expect to do a big "360" before landing, to let all the big guys in first. Their 360 is more like a holding pattern. They'll vector you but you'll be up there probably 20 minutes in the queue.
