I have been a fan of acupuncture for many years. One of the early acupuncturists I received treatment from was an older woman from mainland China whose office was in Chinatown, whose medical degrees were from universities in China. She was the real deal. I have also been treated by acupuncturists in other states besides California, having lived in several places my long life (I will be 70 years old next birthday). I can truthfully say that Stephanie is the best doctor of acupuncture I have ever encountered. When I initially came to her for treatment in January this year (2024), I was suffering from extreme pain in my lower back. I had tried massage therapy, physical therapy, and was taking a ton of OTC meds, but I could hardly move. In our first session she did something I still don't understand but the result was miraculous: the needles were in my hand and the top of my head, yet she was able to get my lower back to move freely where the previous two weeks I had experienced no movement there at all. I became an instant devotee. She never gives me the same treatment, even though I see her frequently and regularly. I present with new issues each time, some of them almost entirely emotional, and she ALWAYS provides care that makes me feel better multi-dimensionally (physically, emotionally, psychologically). Often when I leave her office, I have the most alive day I've experienced in weeks. It is amazing what occurs when someone, who is as skilled and knowledgeable and compassionate as Stephanie is, moves your chi around! It's as if she taps into the "on" button for so many aspects of life health. She goes right to the source of whatever the problem is at the time and awakens healing energy exactly where it is needed. Also she prescribes traditional Chinese herbs and remedies as needed; the providers she works with are in Sebastopol, they're great, and the process is very streamlined. She also makes herself available via email and will send in herbal orders for you even when you are between appointments. I seriously cannot recommend her highly enough. I have been skeptical of acupuncture in the past since I didn't know much about it and wasn't sure it would work on me, but after struggling to cure insomnia myself, I decided to try it out, and was referred to Stephanie. Thanks goodness. Stephanie has been treating me for sleep issues for about 6 weeks now, and has helped me attain better sleep through acupuncture and recommending a tincture before bed. I was not able to get quality sleep for the past 6 months prior, and I now feel more rested and ready to jump back into working out again--it's been quite hard gaining weight on top of feeling exhausted all the time. I'm not quite sleeping through the night every night yet, so I'm continuing to see her but feel encouraged by the progress I've made! Aside from that, Stephanie is compassionate, funny, and has a calming personality that makes you want to tell her everything. Stephanie is such an incredible healer. She is extremely sensitive and determined to help with any and all forms of need.
