When "everything" was backing up & not draining today, I gave them a call a little before 9AM. Gene promised to be there between 11AM & 1PM. I asked that he call me when he was on his way. As promised, he called & showed up at the house right on time. He even brought his VERY well behaved 14 year-old Australian Shepherd copilot (who stayed in his vehicle the whole time). While I thought the problem was due to our daughter's long hair plugging up the drain line from the bathtub, Gene (correctly) diagnosed the problem as a blocked main line. It took Gene about an hour to use his 300# power auger to cut/extract roots from the main line to the sewer. See the attached picture for the ~4" x 8" wad of roots that was plugging the drain. Once Gene was finished, he checked & double-checked to make sure that everything was draining properly. He made recommendations as to how we should avoid this problem in the future (basically, having roots removed from the line every 2 years or so). Dayton Sewer & Drain's bill was reasonable for the service they provided. There was NO attempt to "up-sell" us on services not truly needed. Gene quickly determined the problem & fixed it. We'll keep using Dayton Sewer & Drain in the future.

Then decided to tell me that they are running behind. Could not give me an update to when. 1:54pm still nothing. Had to call Home Depot and ask what is going on. 2:59pm at my house with no heads up. Upset that no one is home now. Finally called me and I told them I will be back in 30 mins. They came inside and tried to tell me I needed all of these things. Told them I didn't need them and they said then we can't do the install. Ask the guy to leave and he did. The best part was he said it would take 6 hours to do the job and drain the old tank. I was able to keep the pump operational until they showed up. They immediately knew what was wrong and fixed it. Then he used a zip strip to prevent any reoccurrence. Mikes sewer had a 6 month guarantee on any back ups after the hydro jet, but failed to answer any of the multiple phone calls and voice mails I left with them! they ghosted me and charged me 600$, ended up having roto rooter come out and pull out over 10lbs of roots out of my drain line and took 3 and a half hours to complete the job properly! We called this plumber out to our house in Beavercreek Township to fix a leaky spraying laundry…read moreroom faucet. He came within a few days on time. The following happened: * Sent plumber to Home Depot to buy a replacement Moen faucet. He returned with a non-matching replacement, that was NOT a Moen, and also never provided a receipt for the new faucet. * Plumber could then not complete the job due to not being able to fit up behind the sink. I offered to help and was able to reach and assist and ended up spending a good thirty minutes of my own time helping the plumber complete the job. * Plumber then charged $280, of which $122 was for the faucet (with no receipt) and $150 was for the labor plus tax. I then ask about warranty, to which he says the manufacturer (NOT himself) is who warranties the faucet. He then says "no receipt was needed for Moen to replace." Upon inspecting the faucet's manual, it clearly says a receipt is required to honor their manufacturer's warranty. So in closing, I got a working faucet, but it wasn't a match to my original, it wasn't the brand I asked for, no receipt was provided so I have no idea where this plumber actually got the NEW faucet and if it was actually $122, AND the kicker is I helped do the job for 30 minutes. And I got a premium bill of $280. That was my experience with this plumber. Overall pretty below standard service. I gave two stars because the job was completed and the faucet works now. And he arrived quickly after calling.
