My mom came here to apply for herself only but some how my dad (who has Medicare - does not need to apply for CC) also received a bill from the insurance company for Coverer California. Meaning, the girl who processed her application applied two people for CC when there should only be one. Second, my mom picked "A" insurance plan and finalized it with paperwork. Some how, both my dad and mom each received a bill from "B" insurance plan, which is much costlier than my mom's previous choice. And plan "B" is "Enhanced PPO Child Only" (wtf..she's 63 yrs old). This makes me wonder if these were innocent careless mistakes or were it intentional due to greed/inner motive? The damage couldn't be fixed completely because my mom already made a payment for plan "B". She came back by herself but somebody else gave her some kind of excuses. I had to visit the office myself the third time with her to get those two major issues fixed. The bonus star was bc the manager of the office called us back later at night to apologize for his staff's mistake. I might post a follow-up rating in two months.

My experience as a volunteer was great!! I always thought staff were so friendly, very patient and kind, and the activities seemed so fun for the adults! They had holiday parties, games, TV/shows playing, people singing, and the whole environment just seemed super safe and fun. I'm sure the older folks in there preferred to be home, as aging and being less independent is a huge change in life. I'm so glad they have places like this that exist that actually care & treat not only staff and patients well, but families and volunteers too! This is coming from someone who is now 35! I thought this way back in HS! This place really opened up my eyes for the profession I am in now, Social Work! I must say, my review is solely based on what I experienced after the fact when I tried to follow up with April just recently about a week ago (February and early March) 2020. She had mentioned to me previously that in order for us to secure a spot for my daughter to enroll her at their place for the month of April that we would need to give a $200 non-refundable payment (first week tuition), which is totally understandable but I had asked if I can check back with her in a few months to see if there was any availability at that point. Anyways, fast forward to a few months to today, I sent her a follow up text and asked her about the application and that we're ready to submit the paper work along with our deposit. This was last Friday and I gave it a couple of days and texted her again. Still, nothing! No response...NADA! So here I am scrambling to find another place for my 4 month old daughter, because April didn't respond or confirmed! I get that there were no guarantees on our end because we didn't give her a deposit at the time she asked back in December, however, I did ask her about the non-refundable deposit if it went both ways meaning if she fell through for any reason and was unable to make a commitment to us that we'd get our money back, but she made it seem like it would be our loss regardless! April really gave me a reason to leave this lengthy review on Yelp. I hope she realizes the importance of common courtesy/follow through, business ethics/practices and that she works on improving her communication skills. It's very unprofessional to not respond back even if she no longer had a spot for my child. I would have appreciated it more had she responded with that. I also asked my husband to give her a call and he said April just brushed him off the phone telling him that they don't have any space available and said "good luck"....wow! how rude was that? So, I guess we'll take our business elsewhere! On the positive side, we found another daycare place that's even better, cleaner and easier to communicate with by phone and text! At least I have this peace of mind knowing that my daughter will be in good hands! I can't believe I'm even taking the time to leave a review at 5:00 am this morning!

Since day one they were extremely patient, nurturing and understanding of all our concerns and needs we had for our 21 month old who had never been in daycare before. They helped her adjust to naps, feeding time outside the high chair, use utensils precisely. So happy with them and I have seen so many behavioral and educational leaps since she's been with them.
