Kristy was so easygoing and we chatted the entire time I was getting my hair cut. I showed her the length I was going for and had her go from there. Two other customers were already waiting, but they also said that I should go ahead. That alone could merit 5 stars - magnanimity from both professionals and their patrons is a rare thing these days. And then, Patrick was splendid: although I had never come to their shop before, he assessed the cut I wore and knew exactly how to tighten it up, but he regularly made sure that the lines he sharpened matched what I wanted. He was especially patient when I misquoted the length I wanted for my beard, and he didn't touch it until he was sure I was sure what was right. Between clippers, scissors, and straight razor, I got one of the most precise cuts of my life. Conversation was more than genial - I felt as if I had come to a large family gathering where there also happened to be haircuts. The place itself is spotless and full of warm tones; I could have spent three times as long in there and not noticed the time go by. I would award them six stars if I could. Instead, I'll simply say thank you again for helping our wedding come off wonderfully. Next time I'm in town and looking a shaggy mess, I know just where to turn for help.

I always find it really hard to explain exactly how I want my hair to look because even when I find examples to show the hairstylist, I either don't want it exactly like the photo, or (more often than not) the person in the photo has hair/headshape different from mine so I'm never going to look just like that. I've come to realize that every hairstylist is going to have their own "style" if you will, and the haircuts they do will reflect that style. I really appreciate Nami's style and the way my haircuts turn out even for little things that are hard to explain such as the back. If I had to describe it in regards to my own requests (I do a side part), I would say she's great at flowy, modern cuts that look clean but still have a natural feel to them. She's also great at listening to requests. I often like mixing up my haircut a tiny bit and she'll offer suggestions and we'll have a discussion on various possibilities. Lastly, besides doing great haircuts she's also just fun to talk to, I always enjoy talking to her so that's a bonus. Reservations are done via their website where you'll find available times and pricing. Parking is easy, there's a huge parking lot in back that's shared with a row of retail buildings, just look for the two story building with the Sansai Japanese Grill.

He immediately asked what do I need and I responded a cleanup. Meaning no hair cutting, I just needed to get my sideburns shortened up and my front lined up. He didn't do any of it. He left my sideburns just the way they were and when I pointed out that he is not following directions he went all in and cut a big chunk of hair leaving me with a hole on my sides. He was grumpy and unprofessional and expensive for the 5-minute lousy job. Apparently, he has been cutting hair all his life and I guess its time to retire and rent the seats to younger barbers. It's hard caring for my grandfather and this was less thing to worried about because he took care of my grandfather. He has a great personality and was very professional. He was very gentle to my 94 year old grandpa. I definitely recommend him. I wish I had more money to give him a big tip. He deserves it.
