Terrible customer service from this guy. Couldn't get ahold of him for days and when I finally did, it was a mess. All I needed was a taper and a beard trim. He originally quoted me he wanted $70, which he wanted UP FRONT, via cash app. Which is just unprofessional as can be, there's literally no protection for me as a buyer. Then on top of it, he told me after he verified the payment had been received, he would contact me back to schedule an appointment. Meaning my appointment wouldn't even be guaranteed. But what was really the icing on the cake, is that 10 minutes after talking to him on the phone, he texted me saying(verbatim) "sorry 75". I mean come on now, you don't answer your phone, you're overpriced, and on top of that you don't even know your rates? If the fade is anything like the customer service, I'd say I dodged a bullet. read more

Disrespectful, unprofessional, and has no respect for other peoples time. I was a loyal customer for years, but the disrespect for my time, even after I moved to Valencia, I continued to get to my appointments on time, yet he was always running late. He canceled on me at the last minute, when I fit him in into my busy work day, and he didn't even try and provide an excuse. He is very unorganized with his scheduling of appointments, and has no concept of how other people with real jobs need to manage their time. He's a total loser. He is a decent barber, but there are people who are just as good, who have better time management. I am very happy with my new barber. read more

Best Barber & shop I've ever been to. I found Dian (the Barber) a few years back when I used to live in Eagle Rock. Now I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I realize how good I had it st Dian's. Several years later, I haven't been able to find a better shop. Dian has been cutting my hair for a few years now and every time I get a fade or I get my hair relaxed I leave extremely satisfied. Dion's lines are always tight and even and he usually takes his time despite the long lines. Dian is highly skilled and I'd recommend the shop and his services to anyone. Everyone in the shop is friendly and every customer I've seen walk out of the shop has a great looking cut. It says a lot when women are lined up waiting for a cut in a shop with only male barbers. My only complaints: waiting your turn can be long, especially on busy days. Try to schedule an appointment or show-up on non-peak days/hours. I also think this shop is a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for. In conclusion, best shop I've ever been to and the best barber I've ever had. I came to Dian's from out of town, without an appointment, two days before my wedding, and when I mentioned I wanted to look sharp for the event, they set me in a chair with Patrick right away. Two other customers were already waiting, but they also said that I should go ahead. That alone could merit 5 stars - magnanimity from both professionals and their patrons is a rare thing these days. And then, Patrick was splendid: although I had never come to their shop before, he assessed the cut I wore and knew exactly how to tighten it up, but he regularly made sure that the lines he sharpened matched what I wanted. He was especially patient when I misquoted the length I wanted for my beard, and he didn't touch it until he was sure I was sure what was right. Between clippers, scissors, and straight razor, I got one of the most precise cuts of my life. Conversation was more than genial - I felt as if I had come to a large family gathering where there also happened to be haircuts. The place itself is spotless and full of warm tones; I could have spent three times as long in there and not noticed the time go by. I would award them six stars if I could. My first time here and as a woman I was slightly intimidated. When I walked in..no one welcomed me or asked if they could assist me. So I finally spoke up. There were 3 barbers present yet no one appeared to be thrilled to want to service me. After waiting for awhile a guy walked in and he was immediately serviced. Thought about going back. Can't stand people talking in the middle of my haircut. Can't stand the whole stereotypical "I'm gonna treat y'all like fam" and forget who's paying to get in, get out, and get the fuck on with my life. There is a lot of talent in this place! Hands down some of the cleaner cuts I've had. But unfortunately the place is poorly managed. Think social club more than place of business. Most of the time when you walk in nobody communicates anything about who is waiting for who or wait times. The business hours in the door are often just suggestions of when they might show up. The barbers spend as much time talking as cutting. And customers all sit around like zombies waiting on.... who knows? Dian, many of your customers have a life outside of hanging out at your shop all day! I gave this place so many chances before letting off on this review, but I walk in the other day and there are 6 customers sitting around while one barber casually sits on his phone ignoring the line of paying customers and the other is doing more chit-chat than buzzing. Its unprofessional and way to casual. I'm done! There is other talent elsewhere that does not require 2 1/2 hrs of the morning to achieve something so basic. read more

I just want to be honest, the barber I went to was ok, but I can't say that he was honest. He charged me 25$ for a lineup, when the prices clearly say 15$, all he did was fade the back but unless a fade costs an extra 10$ then he jipped me, and I didn't want to cause a scene for that but I also thought maybe it was considered a haircut but that doesn't make sense to charge 25$ for a lineup and fade, also he used the blade, but so the blade is an extra 10? Still makes no sense 25? That's false advertisement that they advertise a lineup being 15. I've never seen prices like that anywhere. I didn't think much of it until i told every other friend and barber friends about how much i paid and no one has ever heard of a line costing 25$, that's ridiculous, if his motive was to make a fast buck then he succeeded but I won't be coming back due to this. read more
