A year ago, we contacted Stetson about two projects, some relatively minor stucco patching on our home exterior and restaining the baseboards in our home. Because they were busy and we wanted to be able to open the doors and windows during the staining process, we scheduled that portion of the work for spring. To their credit, Jerry Stetson and one of his crew did come out and perform the stucco patching job, and the work was satisfactory. However, that's where our positive contact with them ended. When we called Stetson a month prior to the scheduled spring staining project, we were told that they dropped us from their schedule for reasons that made no sense. So we rescheduled the work for this October. We then made several attempts to reconfirm as we got a couple of months out and never received a reply. Whether we called and left a message or sent an email, same result - no response. We made at least a half-dozen attempts, but never heard back from them. We also tried to send in a new request for proposal through Home Advisor, with the same result, nothing! Bottom line, you may or may not get a response from these guys, and you may or may not get your job done. I'd hate to see what would happen if you had a problem with a job they did. Up to you, but to us, their lack of professionalism will keep us away from them in the future. read more

Stetson painted the exterior of my two story home. I got 3 quotes and they were in the middle. Workers did a get job with repairs and power washing of the stucco. The job only took 2 days and looks beautiful. Invoice was what they quoted. read more

Stetson did some complex painting 2 years ago at a self storage building I oversee. Blending paints with Ocon 2 a silicon water sealer, using a lift for this 30 foot tall building, and dealing with access issues behind a shopping center, with semi's coming and going. Tuff job. It came out great. My home needed a repaint after a total kitchen remodel plus a living room wall and 2 pedestrian doors on our garage and storage room. Erica bid the job with a fair price. Their man showed up at 5:30 AM not 6:00 but I was up anyway. He did a professional job as my business has caused me to work with painters for the past 40 years. The work was done on time with some extras included at no added fee. For residential or commercial they are really good people. read more

Daniel and his crew of Alex and Henry were always punctual and on the job site when promised. They found and fixed issues we didn't know we had. In spite of our multi-colored exterior, they got everything right with no overspray. From prep to clean up, I was very happy with the job, their courtesy and professionalism. read more

Their employee Erica who came to our house to give an estimate breezed in an hour and 15 minutes late with no apology and no phone call, in fact she acted like she was not even over and hour late. She gave no details such as what kind of paint they use, etc. Very unprofessional. I guess Stetson doesn't need our business. read more

I would have liked to have given them a review for their work, but when they don't show up for a pre-arranged estimate I guess 1 star would be a sufficient score. I called them later and left them a message wondering what happened to our 9am meeting. The didn't even respond to that. It takes a lifetime to build client relationships and a few seconds to lose them. My recommendation would be to find a more professional painting company that are reliable. read more

Very disappointed - I did not get what I wanted or expected as far as the work that was done or the quality of customer service I received. I would NOT recommend them, especially for staining wood or fiberglass. In short: unprofessional. There were multiple miscommuncations from Stetson, the work was supposed to take 2-3 days and instead took 5 days over 2 weeks, some items that were on the estimate were left unfinished because the workers didn't even know they were supposed to do them, no options were provided for varnish and I ended up with cheap looking glossy doors instead of the matte finish that I wanted, door handles were not removed for the staining process, and to top it all off there are already chips in the fiberglass stain and varnish that expose the original color underneath. The owner did not seem to think any of these were problems and said that they would come out and fix the issues for their normal rate. I don't think so! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! If you try to paint your place yourself and run into issues, Stetson will help you get it sorted out. I had an issue with unpainted door finish carpentry that was primed and painted but didn't turn out well. Stetson went straight over to the house, gave me a quote, and had people there the next morning to get started on making it look good. The result looks like a professional job despite our mistakes before calling Stetson. The price was reasonable too. read more

I had a large section of my living room drywall that had been soaked from a roof leak. After the leak was repaired I called Stetson for a quote for repair which included drywall repair, mud, tape and texture. The crew came right on time, got to work and made the job look simple. They finished quickly, cleaned up, and the repair blended in perfectly with the unsoaked portion of the wall. I don't have time to shop for estimates. I call Stetson, get a fair price and have them do the work. I've used them half a dozen times and wouldn't think of using anyone else. read more

Stetson did a great job painting our exterior. I got 4 bids and they were slightly higher, but close. The reason I went with them was higher quality workmanship and materials, and the bid was carefully detailed so I knew exactly what I was getting. That was important to me. Early last week I contacted Stetson Painting via their website requesting a quote to have my house painted. After several days of not hearing anything I went back to their website and made a second request for a quote. The next day I received a phone call in the morning from a rep (Jerry?) saying that he could stop by later in the afternoon. When no one showed up or called by dinner time I called him. He apologized for not calling but said he was too far away and would it be okay if he came by early Thursday or Friday. I said mid-morning or later would be better. He then said he would call when he was in the area. It is now late Tuesday afternoon the following week and he finally called and asked if I was still interested - that would be an emphatic no. if they are this bad trying to get a quote I cannot imagine what kind of customer service they would provide if I actually was stupid enough to buy from them. read more

Totally, not happy with the quality of work performed by Stetson Painting. We are in the process of getting our house ready to put on the market. Hired Stetson Painting to come in an repaint all of the interior walls. House was totally empty when we had them to the work. After job completion we found overspray on all of our ceiling fans, several of the switch plates and wall socket plates were broke when put back in-place after painting, the finish on the baseboards was ruined my mashing tape. We now have to replace about 500 board feet of baseboards. The list goes on. We have called and discussed the poor workmanship with the owner Jerry Stetson and have even asked that he come to our house to see, first hand, the poor workmanship and the amount of filth left by his crew. He has refused to stop by the house to see the issues first hand. There is no way at this point in time that we could positively recommend Stetson Painting for any work. Our rating of 1 STAR is actually generous! read more
