I bought a 2025 Subaru Outback with about 2200 miles on it. I really like the vehicle with bumper to bumper warranty and purchased an extended warranty. I brought my Outback to the dealership for an oil change. When I picked up my vehicle, the person that took my payment said that I had a hole in my manifold and to bring it in for repair and that it would be covered under warranty. So I brought the Outback in 2 weeks later for repair and got a loaner car. I received a call later that day and they said that the damage was external and" they took pictures" it WON'T be covered under warranty and the attendant' Josh Fisher cocky as hell, said they could fix it for $2500. So I pick my car up and they charged me over $90 because their staff looked at ihe car, which I would have never brought in until I was told to bring it in by a Moyers Subaru employee!!!!!! I did call the 800-subaru3 number to report my issues and was shut down by Mike saying that it was reported by Moyer Subaru that it was external damage. To make a long story short. I brought my car to my mechanic and he fixed the issue for $225.00 saying that there was NO issue with the manifold but it was a bad gasket that should have been covered by warranty and was applled that they didn't cover/ or do the proper inspection to fix the problem. So I will NOT spend another cent to Subaru!!!!! What a bad experence over $225.00. read more

Several years ago I purchased snow tires from Moyer's because they would change for free in fall and spring. I changed them myself this spring to save the trip and found the nuts were over torqued that one would only come off half way. Had vehicle towed to Moyers and they found three nuts and lugs on that wheel that had to be changed. They started to blame me until I mentioned that you installed the wheels. After driving the car for less than 100 miles, I decided to check the torque on the alloy wheels. To my surprise the only wheel they worked on , two of the bolts were hand tight. GOOD THING no one was hurt from these issues. Stay far away from this place unless you need a cabinet filter you don't really need. RUN AWAY. Purchased three cars from them . Never again. read more

I'm currently on my third Subaru from Steve Moyer. I've been dealing with the staff at Steve Moyer since 2015 and have never had a poor experience. My current car is a Legacy XT Touring. I had to special order the car as it wasnt available at the time (so that part was pretty easy since there wasn't any real haggling), and the entire process took a little longer than I expected but Covid was just becoming a thing so I guess it was just a sign of things to come. Thru the last 5 years I had nothing extremely memorable or extremely bad happen at the dealership. I take my cars there for all service. All inspections. And I always feel like they are being up front and honest with what my car needs/will need in the future. The reason I'm finally writing my review for the dealership, is because with this car, I've had some unfortunately bad cosmetic luck. First, I picked up my car at night when I bought it, and the next few days it rained, finally I had a day off and saw my car in the sunlight... there was a weird purple splotch on the bumper. Took it to the dealer,pulled into the bay and... the splotch was gone. I thought I was crazy (they probably did too). I drove away, pulled into a parking lot nearby and got out... and the splotch was back. I pulled back in, left it outside this time... and brought the service advisor outside...and now finally I wasn't crazy. It was a factory defect paint job. They could not have been nicer about it, from bringing over someone from the paint shop to try and get it out, to finally calling Subaru and getting a new bumper for my car. It was such a small little blotch, but it would have bothered me every time. Then recently, i drove thru some lime green paint and the inside of my wheel wells were covered in green paint... took it in for inspection and to have that looked at. I received a phone call back from my Service Advisor and was told "they got all the paint off the cars but the wheel wells were basically fabric so 'they did the best they could' "... I was bummed. I mean, a dark grey car, with 1/2 lime green wheel wheels.... Pulled up, got my car.... I'm not sure what "they did the best they could" meant, but there was literally almost no paint left. A few little sprays here and there, but unless you were looking you cannot see them. Long story short, every sales rep I've had has been great and knowledgeable. Every experience I have had with the finance dept has also gone smoothly and I never felt pressured into taking a coverage/warranty/option that I did not want... and their service dept and body shop has been awesome. II would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Subaru. read more

Don't ever use the repair shop services. 3 times they said the car was done, 1st time they never addressed the mechanical problems from the accident! Then we had to pay for more repairs insurance wouldn't cover. 2nd it never made it home and needed more repairs. 3rd time it made it home but wouldn't start the next day. Every time we went to pick it up they had to jump it, they said they leave the doors open while working on the cars. So they ruined the battery and we had to buy a new one. Now after the 4th pick up 2+ months later we have the car, however, before the minor accident we were not having any problems. The car was smooth and spaceship quiet, no noises or issues at all. Nothing we were even concerned about. Then after 2 months at this shop and there's all kinds of wear and tear issues, brand new loud noises and more repairs are needed. The body work was done fine. But they are not good at doing anything else. read more

They told me I had to take a white subaru never let me pick my own color of car and all the other chevy dealership I dealt with let me choose my own color also the guy who sold me the car drove around showing us how it works and the first thing he did was hit a big old pot hole with the right front tire. Brand stinking new car and he hit a pot hole. So wrong. Also never buy the stuff they sell you to put on your seats and the outside paint on the car. Bought a Subaru from them less than a year ago, took it for inspection today. Did not give us a price of what it was going to cost before they did to work. The car only had 5900 miles on it and they said that we still need tires. Charge us $173 for inspection and Servicing. Unbelievable entirely too much money. But then they said they gave us a free car wash. I will never go back there again. Very poor customer service skills. It would have been nice if they would have given us a price for inspection before ripping us off. read more

I'd shopped around the Lehigh Valley and unfortunately tripped over some unpleasant salespeople at my local dealers... which left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Every single person I've dealt with at Steve Moyer has been friendly, professional, and low-key: No pressure, no drama, none of that souped-up state of anxiety/urgency that other dealerships seem to thrive on from the second you walk in the door. Every single detail was the same on paper, exactly as I'd been promised it would be via email. My Forester was even nicer than I'd imagined. I'm thrilled with how this went and I can't recommend them enough. I have to say despite the distance they're likely going to get my service business as well. It's disheartening to read these negative reviews because my experience was quite the opposite, and continues to be to date. Mike Kuzma was my amazing salesmen and he made me feel totally comfortable. Mike didn't give any pressure and it was a very relaxed environment. He worked very hard to hunt down the exact forester I was looking for. He recently just called me on my two year anniversary to check-in. I had a terrible experience at Steve Moyer Subaru this past weekend. My wife and I attempted to test drive a 2014 Forester. While the salesman was showing us the features of the car, he attempted to adjust the telescoping steering wheel and the engine immediately shut off. He said he would have a technician look at this right away. No real apology was issued, no other comparative offers were made, and the manager was "too busy" to talk to us. The manager was joking around with some co-workers. He was not busy. We walked away. They should have been embarrassed by something as ridiculous as not being even able to get a test drive off of the ground due to the engine of the vehicle shutting off, but apparently, they simply don't care. Here's the best/worst part: Three days later, my wife received a call from Steve Moyer Subaru asking how we were enjoying our new Forester! The Forester that we not only were unable to test drive, but never bought. These clowns are so screwed up they can't even keep track of their inventory or what cars they have sold. bought a 21 ascent from steve moyer on 9/28 from josh and we were so excited we thought we were dealing with a very decent human being the process just seem to be flawless an easy.. boy was i wrong! so while purchasing this vehicle my husband never misses a question. josh told me in text he let my insurance about my vehicle, wasn't sure if that meant he added the car to insurance, on purchasing day my husband went to call our insurance company to add the vehicle to insurance and josh was like no you dont have to do that i took care of everything for you.. youre buying a 50k car so i made sure everything was done for you.. blah blah blah fast forward to now, im driving on 422 n something hits my windshield i call my insurance an their like no subaru has been added.. We bought a 2012 Suburu about three years ago at Steve Moyer Suburu because we new Mr. Pritz the salesman from our time in Minersville, PA. He was very helpful but the management became involved with the deal and did not allow him the autonomy when he has at Pritz Motors in Minersville. Last month the engine failed caused by an internal problem. I went on the website and asked for a call to explain our circumstances and was flooded with requests to buy a new car. The dealer did not even read my email. This went on for several iterations indicating that they did not even consider the narrative. I finally received a call from a mid manager and he told me I should have called them earlier and had it towed to Steve Moyer. I will not deal with this dealership again and I would like to inform any other potential buyer that they do not stand behind their vehicles. read more

The following review constitutes my opinion based on my (and my familiy's) experience here: Early last year I was helping my sister purchase a new AWD-equipped car to deal with snow on long commutes. Saw Subaru new car incentives advertised and called ahead to make arrangements. Here's how it went down: 1. Advertised prices were not even remotely honored. Not sure how you folks manage to look your customers in the eye. Especially the old German sales guy with the beat up face (John was it?). Wow he was useless. The manager (short round one) he kept running back to like some sort of unhappy child was almost equivalently useless. (For reference sis's credit score is over 800). These two clowns would have been better off flipping whoppers down the street. 2. Extremely low offer on used car trade in. It was ridiculous and insulting. Could not even begin to take it seriously. 3. No customer service skills or attempts with dialogue that bordered on plain rude.. These fine folks acted like me and my family were some sort of annoying burden to them though it''s people like us that keep these people employed. The demeanor appeared generally dismissive and apathetic. This was perhaps the most offensive part. 4. New car selection was quite limited on top of it and the location was not comfortable. Rather cluttered and stuffy. This took place early 2016 and I am a busy man. This experience was so terrible, I am compelled to leave a review this far off. I can't make this up. If this was the only car dealership around I would elect walking to work. In resolution we obviously got out of there quickly before wasting anymore of our precious time. We all work hard much like anyone else and did not see any value in pursuing any business here. The next day my sister was driving a brand new SUV home from a dealer down the road. The people at the other place bent over backwards to make her feel important and valued - and that her hard earned money was being spent on a purchase of value. She got a great deal. Even her trade in got 3.5x more than the offer here, and she is happy as a clam. In fact, the service at the other place was so stellar that my mother unexpectedly bought another SUV from them about a month later. I will likely be buying one to from the other place some time in the spring. In short, you guys really cost yourselves some good business from a good, hard-working family. Please do not bother with any reconciliation messages as your damage has been more than done/ Lost this business forever. Again, just my opinion, based on prior experience. read more

They supplied a nice dinner, several stations to answer questions concerning the car, a prize wheel where you spin the wheel and won a prize. I took home a subaru forester dog toy. My dog won't put it down. I have a technical problem with my new Forester, between the phone and the car (android auto). Several people looked at it and tried different things to fix this minor problem...to no avail. They took my cell, texted me and will get back to me after talking with corporate. It was 20 mins to closing on a saturday and the salesman told me to stop back another day when it wasnt so close to closing :( Then against my better judgement, I did contact them again about the same models of car and the salesman stated we dont discount much and i would be paying close to list price. They almost acted like they were doing me a favor...therefore I went down the road to Tom Masano Mitsu and looked at the EVOs and purchased one the same day...A beautiful 2011 Mitsubishi EVO GSR...and that dealer couldnt do enough for me. I went there to get the first oil change on the car. I did not buy the car there.When it came time for the second oil change. The drain bolt was rounded so bad I had to use a bolt extractor to get it off. I went down and complained to the service manager.He said well we wouldnt have put that on like that and how all bolts are tourqed to 35lbs. I said theres only been one oil change on the car and yous did it.....heres the paperwork.Didnt really say anything but maybe someone got yelled at alittle bit so that doesnt happen to someone else. 2 things. 1st-buying my 2017 Impreza sport here was great. The salesman I dealt with was awesome, answered any question I had, helped me through all the paperwork & checked in on me. Definitely recommend purchasing a car here (speaking as a first time car buyer). 2nd- Oh my god don't get your car serviced here if you can help it. I drive an hour to get here for oil changes and everything else, so it's not necessarily easy for me to get here if something goes wrong or is messed up. WELL, upon getting my 3rd oil change at Steve Moyer, the mechanic impacted my drain plug into the pan too tight that it couldn't be removed, I had to get a new oil pan, which meant I had to get a rental for almost 2 freaking weeks after I was told it would only take a few days. Then, when I pick up my car, I notice there are clips in my front seat that fasten the under guard onto the car. I have the Service Manager come out & check to see if they put a new guard on and they just left the old clips behind. He assures me the guard is on & even felt under my car for it. I left. Then the next day I have my boyfriend check to see if the guard is on. It's not. So here I am, sitting here in the waiting area while they but my guard back on my car. They also didn't put a sticker on my windshield indicating the next time I need an oil change. I have no idea if they even replaced the oil pan. Among other things, they charge ridiculous prices, make you think you need to replace things that you actually don't, and are all around idiots. I've never dealt with a more dishonest & unprofessional service center in my life. How unnerving is it that the Service Manager didn't even know if his team put my guard back on after checking himself? C'mon. **UPDATED** If you're reading this & see the comment below from Kenneth V. from Steve Moyer, he's the best guy there to help you with anything. He sold me my car & totally took care of me. But I'd like to clarify for anyone who is reading this & thinks I'm being harsh. My father (a certified mechanic) was going to change my oil for me (which he has done before on my new Impreza) & couldn't remove the drain plug. If Subaru required certain specs to be followed when inserting the plug, great, but why was he able to remove it himself before and not this time? Then, without my knowledge, he took my car to a local mechanic for him to try to remove it. The local mechanic totally messed up my oil pan, I'm pretty sure he banged it in which caused the crack and need for it to be replaced. However, if I would have brought my car to Steve Moyer to have the oil changed in the first place, I would bet that they wouldn't have been able to remove the plug because it was inserted incorrectly and torqued in. Sort of like if you twist a cap onto a bottle incorrectly & have a hard time getting it off. Anyway, since I'm not a mechanic, I could be wrong. Maybe I have no clue what I'm talking about anyway, but I at least know they made me feel like a second thought when I spoke to them (I even had my boyfriend call them and explain that they forgot to put my guard back on my car because I didn't feel comfortable speaking to them again). Sure, they paid for a new oil pan & the rental, however they're the ones that caused the problem in the first place, so they should've taken care of that. My advice is to shop around; do not rely on Moyer Subaru for your only quote. Their website lists cars in their inventory with a price for each vehicle, but when you actually look at the vehicle at the dealership itself the price is higher because of add-ons; that is deceptive advertising. At least in my case, Moyer would not budge from the sticker or MSRP price on the car, and offered a low-ball price on my trade-in. I went to another dealer who discounted the MSRP price and gave me a better trade-in allowance as well; I saved close to $1800 on the same car I was looking at at Moyer with the other dealer. Don't get sucked in by the very attractive waiting area with the assortment of coffee, teas, water and snacks. Beware of any dealer who will not budge from their MSRP. read more
