The KX staff did a thorough inspection and proposed a plan to bring the minivan to excellent mechanical condition (including some items that could wait several months, saving me immediate cost). I brought the car in about 10 days later (when the identified parts arrived at the shop). In two days, they KX staff completed an enormous amount of work as planned and the car runs great - feels like new! Not only the engine, but the non-opening left-side sliding door and the non-closing right-side sliding door. The integrity, expertise and competence as car mechanic professionals are outstanding. Rob took a look and found the issue, a small hole from misaligned tubing off of the gas tank inlet. He looked to see if he could get replacement part but wouldn't have been able to get it for a while. He looked again and figured he could remove and realign it which he did. I mentioned numerous times about an oil change , when I called when I dropped it off. The day I dropped it off they were closed at the time that they were supposed to be open and I had to turn around and come home and call to find out when they would be opening up. I did get my car in that day for what I thought was going to be an inspection and oil change along with anything else that the service required. I heard nothing from them all day so right before closing I had to call to see if my car was ready. They said it would be however when I got there, they were still working on it. I found out that they never did the oil change because they did not know what the service number on the dashboard meant and had to look it up and would do that the next day and call me, which they never did! Being that they specialize in foreign vehicles, they should know or have the capability of looking up what the codes mean. I was even told that they were sure it did NOT include an oil change. Regardless of whether that service did, I specifically wanted an oil change. I looked up the code when I got home only to find out that it should have indeed had an oil change. I did not drive my car for a few days after getting it home and parking it in my garage. When I pulled my car out of the garage I noticed scrapes below BOTH front doors!! Since I had not noticed it for a few days, I did not say anything to them because I am sure they will deny causing the scrapes, but have no doubt they did. When I did go to pick up my car, they left me standing in the waiting area for a very long time with the kids who kept repeating that, maybe they should go get their mother who was in the garage. That was nice of the kids to be concerned because the mother and owner was aware that I was there since they saw me come in but didn't have the courtesy to acknowledge me and let me know they were still working on my car, which I think was rushed. This is the second time I used this repair shop. The first time it was more of an emergency due to a dead battery and had my car towed there. Everything was fine that time except that while I was standing in the waiting room yet again for an extended period of time , I could barely handle the smell of marijuana. Needless to say, I would not recommend this repair shop.
