Went with a person who is a member to check it out. Wide selection of products, food, beauty items, jewelry and more. Of course bulk style amounts, so stock up! Clean store ~ no samples were available though- guess I missed sample hour. I did not interact with any sales associates or employees so not sure if they are friendly or not. Cheap gas but sketchy that apparently their pumps have failed inspection. Probably still safer than any of the Philadelphia area gas pumps.

This store does not listen and tries to pull fast ones. Every year until last year I would manually renew my membership. I then switched to their higher tier membership which I did not want after the first year as it was a waste of money. Customer service without my permission signed me up for auto renew. They charged my card without permission so I asked for a manager to call me. She apologized and said she took care of it and it would not happen again. Obviously it happened again or I would not be writing this review. I do not know if all store are this shady but watch your credit card statements if you deal with temple. read more

If you dare to enter this store during busy times, you had better be prepared to force your way through a ton of people standing around looking at every item in the store! The employees are slightly better than Walmart............... if you can find one that will give you the time of day! I've been a member here for about a year and half to two years. Most times I find what I want/need, but I know COVID has made it difficult. I loved the old layout, which made it easier to shop around. Sometimes the aisles are so tight and you almost "wait your turn" to go down the aisle. I do think the prices are fair for the most part. Obviously the ability to buy in bulk for a family of 4 is beneficial. My last experience: I rolled my cart up and let it sit. The lady told me I could put my items up on the belt. However, last time I had done that (maybe a month prior) I was practically scolded for helping. I was solely helping because there was a line wrapped around and she was all by herself. So I told her that last time I tried helping it didn't go well. She proceeded to argue with me and say that no one probably said that. So I helped put a few things up. She then proceeds to talk poorly about me and my last experience. "Customers are just never happy." How on earth do you feel the need to be rude?! Also, I would really like to see the staff helping one another. Half the time staff is standing around while there is a line halfway through the store. read more

Favorite location ever! Then again... who could ever complain about a Sam's Club? The staff here is friendly. The items are always fully stocked. My favorite part about Sam's Club though is the pizza. If you never had Sam's Club pizza you are missing out!!! YUM! read more

Sam's Club - The line for self check out stretching across the whole store - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Temple, Pennsylvania

A quick update: the aggressive requests to upgrade your membership have stopped, which is nice. However, within the past couple of months, additional self-scan check-outs have been added, along with a new procedure for going through the slightly modified, employee-run checkouts: instead of you (the shopper) loading everything from your cart to the conveyor belt, the Sam's Club employees now take everything out of your cart and place the items on the belt for you. When asked why the change of procedure, we were told "to make sure everything comes out of the cart". In other words, people are continuing to steal, so much so that Sam's has had to change things around to try and reduce the theft. Sad, as im sure it will continue to happen, and those people will simply start using the self-check out as a way to steal. Otherwise, this is a great store, friendly service, good selection, good prices. read more

Sams Club is a rude version of Walmart customer service at 3 am , for the privileged few who pay a yearly membership to be treated like crap by the employees. Love the store but watch out for their supposedly 'cooked' chickens. We bought one home that was seriously raw! If they cooked it 15 min that's a lot. They better teach their cooks how to cook chickens! read more

I am starting to lose faith as I purchased a high ticket item that had essentially a missing bolt that I could not replace generically and almost a month later, I am still waiting for a replacement bolt to be sent to me. Incredibly inane and frustrating!!!! read more

Had a bad experience today. I wanted to buy a printer but none were sitting out. A store associate said there were two in stock "but oh it might take a while to get it". I waited for 45 minutes until a store manager said "well the floor model must be one and the other well I don't know maybe on the top shelf, sorry". I asked if I could buy the store model for a discount since he didn't want to look for it. He said "I have 17 coming in the next shipment so no" and we left. Let's keep better inventory records and try to sell what's in stock. read more

Stay far away from their Automotive Dept. Twice my wife's minivan had wheels working their way off due to loose lug nuts after being serviced at the Temple, PA Sam's club. After the first time we complained to them, yet nothing changed. Thankfully, each time we took our van to Mister Car Wash & Express Lube (was Cloister) in Sinking Spring to get all the wheels retorqued properly. All wheels rotated at Mister Car Wash & Express Lube must be double checked by a Manager. Sam's Club could learn something from Mister Car Wash and Express Lube. read more

Airport Rd. Allentown. Sam"s Club Tire Dept. Technicians are very limited in tire service and customer service. Buy your new tires from a reputable tire dealer. If you have problems with defective tires they will refuse to work with you on it. They don't understand the basic warranty that they provide. Or come up with correct milage that is on the tires. The assistant manager is NOT COMPETENT enough to read / understand the warranty. BUYER BEWARE!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! 16,000 MILES ON GOODYEAR TIRES and the steel belt is separating! I bought new tires from Sams Club. They told me it will be about 30 minutes. When they were finally done it took them 3 hours. At first they put on the wrong tire, then they would jump from job to job. If the phone rang they would run in and answer it and stop working on my truck. There is no organization in that department and no sense of urgency. Customers other then me were very unhappy also and some left. The automotive center needs plenty of changes immediately. Never again will I go to Sams Club for automotive service. It was a horrible experience. read more

Only giving this place a one start bc I can't give it a -10,000,000. First of all I was there at 9-16-21. So the line was very long and only 2 self checkouts were open and 1 checkout that an employee does it. I understand bc of covid businesses don't have a surplus of employees and now with this vaccine thing people are quitting. Anyway there was many employees doing absolutely nothing and the people in green vests were just talking to each other instead of actually doing what they are paid for. When the very sweet women behind us went up to these two women in green vests and they told her "do you know anyone who will work here?!". You do not speak to a customer that way. Then when we were finally checking out my Momma asked the one women in a green vest a question and she started being very snappy and rude. Then the other girl in the green vest came up and started to scream causing a scene. My Momma is Italian and you do not mess with an Italian unless you are prepared to be put in your place but anyway, we started to leave and I was still looking back at this crazy worker and she started walking toward my Momma and the other worker grabbed her arm holding her back. That is not okay. So I do not recommend this horrible place unless you want to get screamed at. read more

Just wanted to warn people about the Temple Sam's Club store #8160. The customer service in this store is horrendous. They don't care if they help you or not. They don't want to bother to spend the time assisting customers with an issue. They would rather just tell you they cant assist you and say sorry and get you off the phone as quickly as possible. This comes from an incident in the tire center where I purchased a new set of tires and was told they would be delivered to the store in 2 to 5 days. 7 days later there was no word from the store so we started calling to see if the tires had been delivered. It took multiple tries on multiple days to get a live person to answer the phone and when you did they either put you on hold , never to return, or they gave you a lame excuses about calling tomorrow, maybe they would be delivered later. We even spoke to " the manager" twice and both times got excuses about not knowing when the tires would be delivered or even if they would get them. We finally decided to cancel the sale and were told we had to come into the store to get a refund. A 40 minute drive later and we went to the tire center only to be were placed in a line at the "customer service" area that took another 20 minutes before the refund was issued. No one bothered to explain what went wrong or what they could do to help this process get straightened out. Not even a apology! They didn't care! I suggest you find a store that cares and avoid this store. read more

Save money and have confidence they'll take care of any problems. Most places try to stick for for $25+ for mounting, balancing, disposal, stems, and then $10+ for road hazard PER Tire. Sam's has $15 and is all inclusive, so even if the tires aren't cheaper you're still saving $50 on crappy fees that are 100% profit for other places. If there is a problem they'll stand behind it and fix it for you. Plus you can shop and get something accomplished while your tires are being put on. I am not a big fan of how WALMART and Sam's do business and treat their employees (being a former one) but this is still a great option for the saving some serious $$ on your car budget. NO ONE BEATS THEIR PRICE on mounting fees and you can always bring a competitors price for them to match. read more

The customer service from the store manager and assistant manager was horrendous. I was asking for explanation on a return item and one of the managers, Troy was very short with me, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing him the entire 2 minutes he was "dealing" with me. He abruptly dismissed my concerns without any apology or manners. I asked for additional assistance from a higher manager and Troy told me that the highest person had just spoken to me and told me "no", while pointing to the store manager from a distance. The store manager said nothing to me about my situation, he referenced my situation while speaking to the others. When I asked what the store manager's name was, Troy told me that his name was on the wall...he never told me what his name was. I was appalled by the customer service provided by likely the highest paid employees at this store. Julia at customer service was helpful and the receipt checker was very pleasant. I hope these employers appreciate their hardworking employees. read more
