I want to start by saying this daycare seemed very promising, but after five months with our…read moredaughter, we lost confidence in the care she was receiving. One of the first concerns happened when I picked her up and was told she had a diaper rash. The staff said Aquaphor wasn't working, so they used one of their own sprays instead. My response was, "Why aren't you using the Desitin we provided, clearly labeled with her name and accompanied by a doctor's note instructing you to use it?" They apologized and assured us they would use it going forward. This immediately raised concerns about attention to care, especially since diaper products should never be shared between children due to the risk of spreading illnesses like Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD). On June 18, after a week at home with us, we dropped our daughter off and informed staff she had drool bumps on her chin because she was cutting two teeth at once. Later that day, we received a call saying she had a temperature of 99.4°F and was being sent home for suspected HFMD because she supposedly had bumps around her mouth, in her mouth, and in her diaper area. The "bumps" around her mouth were the same drool rash we had pointed out that morning, and they nearly disappeared after simply wiping her chin dry. She had no bumps in her diaper area and no mouth lesions. The next morning, her pediatrician examined her, laughed at the assessment, said she had absolutely no signs of HFMD, and cleared her to return. We met with the Director and Assistant Director to explain what happened. The Assistant Director admitted she hadn't been told about the drool rash or teething before making the assessment. We also brought up the earlier diaper cream incident and explained how concerning it was that our daughter's prescribed cream wasn't being used while they were quick to send children home over concerns about HFMD. We were assured these issues would be addressed. Then, in July, our daughter actually contracted HFMD. She had the classic symptoms: fever followed by lesions around her mouth, in her mouth, and on her hands and feet. We kept her home through her recovery, and once her pediatrician confirmed she was no longer contagious, we received another signed clearance note allowing her to return. The doctor also prescribed antibiotics for a mild ear infection, and we informed the daycare that the antibiotics could cause loose stools and diaper rash, asking them to apply her diaper cream accordingly. The first day back went well. However, the following morning, just one hour after dropping her off, I received another call telling me she was being sent home for suspected HFMD. They pointed to healed red marks under her chin from the previous infection, a small red mark on her finger that she's had since birth, and claimed her diaper area would "shock" me. When I got home and checked, she simply had a diaper rash from the antibiotic-related loose stools. There were no blisters, lesions, or signs of HFMD. Even more concerning, there was absolutely no evidence that her prescribed Desitin had been applied despite the daycare describing the rash as severe. Anyone who uses Desitin knows it leaves a visible white residue, and there was none. We took her back to the pediatrician, who again confirmed she had no signs of HFMD and again questioned whether the daycare was confusing her with another child. At that point, we decided to withdraw our daughter. As I packed up her belongings, one of the workers ran over laughing and said, "Can't forget this!" while handing me the nearly full tube of diaper cream. After five months, it looked like it had only been used a couple of times, despite multiple conversations, a doctor's note, and repeated reminders. I can't speak to the rest of the school, but our experience in the Angel's classroom left us extremely disappointed. We experienced repeated misdiagnoses that resulted in unnecessary doctor visits and missed work, along with repeated failures to follow a simple doctor's order to use our daughter's assigned diaper cream. For us, those issues reflected a lack of attention to detail and consistency that we simply could not overlook.

I have a son who is a late bloomer and I tried going to the principal and asking to hold back my son they refuse to do so and told me he has autism. My son is on the spectrum understandable but if he is function and sitting and focusing why is it a problem? The IEP sucks they don't acknowledge issues and my son gets bullied a lot in the self contained classroom he has gotten slapped, had a goose egg bump on his head from a toy being thrown and named called. They also let the kids have tablets! This year supposly they are blocking YouTube kids but haven't seen it yet! My son tells me he's so smart he gets done before anyone else and he think the class is too easy they only play dance sometimes do worksheets that are preschool! They passed him on to 3rd grade with out knowing all his ABCs and told me he was on a specific plan for the IEP and that he goes at his own pace! I brought in my BCA from proud moments Aba therapy because yes I have to go there too by court order. She saw the classroom and sat in the IEP she was not impressed and caught a lot of mistakes in the IEP hour sheets. The BCA suggest I switch schools I brought that letter to court with recommended schools and the judge said nope because my BCA said Pinecrest was fast paced which I couldn't explain to my judge because they don't let you speak unless you represent yourself which is automatically a no win against another attorney. So no school will dare write you personal letters on what you need far as a letter stating the IEP is transferable so the judge Dept Y laughed and threw the book at me and didn't care about the BCA emails! She didn't care to sworn me in either to tell her the BCA recommended tutoring and I put him in Kumon and held in back in Pinecrest enrollment but justice system here is again the biggest joke! Anyways going back to this school teacher is sweet but I feel not attentive as one should be how in 3 years do we struggle not knowing the ABC and my son can remember my phone number and my x husband New York phone number in a month from his ABA center! In the begining of this special needs education I asked to sit in or help out in the classroom they let me volunteer but against a wall not in the class room and told me they can't let me in the classroom. I wrote a letter to the state board with help of an advocate school attorney and magically they where going to let me in because you have rights a a parent to sit in for so many hours. But now just yesterday they tell me oh if you want to scheduale a visiting time for 30 mins and the principal will sit in with you , you can scheduale that. No thank you I know how it's runned this school. The ladies in the office are catty and you can feel this vibe coming off! They send your kid home when he's sick for no reason they hear a cough or a kid saying I don't feel good and they give me a call to pick him up but I actually don't mind this one because I teach him more at home in my opinion. Kids in his self contained special needs classroom have bullied my son or had behaviors that hurt my son and they just say oh well we documented it but that's all we can do. They won't graduate my son to regular gen ed class because he's so behind it sad because he's just falling more more more behind it's like they have a preschool regiment and he wants to learn so much but they won't push. It's basically daycare in the special needs. He's graduating his Aba therapy very soon and i find it this school is pushing him farther back. They did not even check with the parents... my daughter said they ask weird and unfair questions and ask her to swear to secrecy.. well when she got home, she told me, but it happened and said that the questions were really unfair and that they are trying to set up a teacher and get him in trouble... what the school can improve on is to respect both parents and kids safety... Why am I being treated like the villain? Third attempt (three different occasions) trying to inform…read morethe school of students throwing rocks at each other and the person who answered the phone, hung up on me. Poor girl saying "that hurt really bad" repeatedly, and the boy proceeded to pick up something even bigger and throw that at her. Apparently, the school doesn't care about their students harming each other, and people outside of the school. Again, is my third time reporting it. I'm unsure as to why there are no teachers or anyone of authority watching young children. I will be calling the district to inform them, since the school doesn't seem to care. My family and I just moved here a few months back from San Diego, CA. The kids here are the most…read moreill mannered and disrespectful kids I have ever met or seen in my life. They are constantly calling each other Nig****, Bit****, Ho**, etc. I have called the school and tried to do something about it and the school has shown they do not care. The kids are not supervised on the bus, they do not listen and yet the school still doesn't require parents at the bus stop. These are kindergarteners and up yelling racial slurs constantly telling people to f*** off and saying things like "f*** you you mother f*****". They play foul music constantly. No supervision, no manners and no one seems to care. My daughter will not be going here much longer and I will be doing everything it takes for things to change even once she stops going there. Plain disgusting and everyone should be ashamed.
