I went to Dr. T for a consult.. He was very professional and was the only surgeon that I had seen that figured out my breast implants were behind the muscle. Went to see him for a breast revision I really liked him but it was clear to me he would not even tell me what he wanted to do.. and said I would not like them.. I sent my paperwork and this office was so very very disorganized they could not find it.. which was a red flag.. He did not charge for his consult.. If I could give fewer than 1 stars, I would. Dealing with the staff at this office has been an absolute nightmare for my partner who has been trying for the last year to get top surgery with Dr. Turkeltaub. Their initial consult was rescheduled multiple times at the very last minute, with the new date scheduled several months out every time. And when the day finally arrived for their consultation (roughly 6 months from their first call) and my partner went to check in, they were told by the receptionist that there was no appointment scheduled for them (no apologies or "my mistake"... in fact, they gaslit my partner as if it was their fault). First of many red flags. They begrudgingly squeezed my partner in for an appointment that morning, but this meant that my partner (who is Deaf) did not have any interpreters, which made the communication during the appointment incredible difficult. But because he was the only surgeon we'd met with that would take insurance and was promising the results my partner was hoping for, we moved forward with Dr. Turkeltaub and they set a surgery date for four months out. Pre-op paperwork was sent over via email and it only said "please read through" and gave ZERO indication that they needed something back. My partner called several times to follow up on payment (they said it was too soon and to call later), on FMLA paperwork for their employer (which they failed to provide prior to the surgery date), and with general questions to make sure they had all of their ducks in a row and everything ready for surgery day. We were ONE HOUR away from surgery check-in time when the office manager called my partner to tell them that they had cancelled the surgery because of a missing form from the pre-op paperwork that wasn't signed and returned. They gave ZERO warning prior to this and NO opportunity to fix it. They just cancelled everything one hour from check-in time and said "it's not my job to chase you down for this". My partner had spoken with their office MULTIPLE times over the four months between their consult and surgery date, especially the 2 weeks prior to the surgery, and it was not mentioned once that additional items were still needed and that the surgery was at risk of being cancelled. And to add further insult to injury, when my partner tried to fix the issues and submit what was needed, they refuse to re-schedule the surgery and stated that my partner needed to find another surgeon. There was no empathy or care shown towards my partner by any of the staff that we interacted with at any point of this process. Additionally, their staff never exhibited any accountability for any of the above and never apologized once for the massive inconveniences of last-minute rescheduled consultations or the day-of cancellation of the surgery. I'm truly disgusted with how my partner was treated by the staff at this office throughout this year-long process. read more

I've never been to a place so beyond rude! First off I had my consult. They told me I'd get a email with details. I had to call 5 times because I never received it. I got a call from the hospital confirming my procedure on next Wednesday. I told them I never booked a procedure because I wanted to get the email with the amount that was going to be charged. I called The doctors office and Nelly was so rude and told me I booked the appointment and was fighting with me. I wouldn't of booked that day Because I work and have a wedding the following weekend. Plus wanted to see if my insurance was going to pay. She was so rude then told me he's not going to do it and hung up on me. I'm 53 and honestly have never heard something so unprofessional. Very disappointed in the brachioplasty surgery i had done with dr. Turkeltaub. It resulted in a 2 1/2 deep wound in my arm pit that he didn't take seriously. I ended up leaving his postoperative care and getting a referral from my primary care doctor that got me to a wound care clinic. Once there they found not only the large wound, but both arms had e-coli and cellulitis. I had to get an infusion of antibiotics that lasted 4 hours. In addition, I my wound has to be flushed and packed twice a day. I'm also on 2 other antibiotics. They told me my wound will take another 2 months to heal. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Turkeltaub and his team. I had top surgery and my results were everything I had hoped for (no ugly scar across the chest). During the initial meeting, he asked what I was looking for and made sure that I understood the process of the surgery. After that, it was a waiting game to see if my insurance would cover the surgery but throughout the process the team was very helpful! After it was accepted, I was able to schedule surgery right away. The day of the surgery went very smoothly and Dr. Turkeltaub helped keep my nerves at ease. There are several followup appointments after surgery and again the team was very kind and gentle throughout the aftercare. I would definitely recommend Dr. Turkeltaub for FTM top surgery. read more

Dr. Turkeltaub has no bedside manner. He is very cold and distant throughout the examination process. He does not do much to explain his findings and does not offer options or alternatives. He basically told me I'm too fat and not worth his time to do breast augmentation for. He said to come back when I'm skinnier and that at that time he would consider doing one. He was very dismissive about my thoughts and feelings on the situation. read more

Dr. Turkeltaub told me I had one of the worst encapsulated breasts he had ever seen. My breast had moved up so far that I was deformed and I was in pain. I wanted to go smaller and left it up to him to pick the size of my implant. They are the perfect size for my body and they look amazing. Dr. T also discovered I had a Hematoma in my breast. I am now pain free and I feel whole again. Aside from his amazing skill as a surgeon he is the most kind and compassionate Doctor I have ever met. His staff is also very kind and caring. From the consultation to the out patient care, the team as a whole took the utmost care of me and I never felt bad or ashamed at any point in their care. Mary, the nurse is always super helpful finding affordable prescriptions, explaining out patient after care and making sure I was on top of my appointments via regular phone calls. Dr. Turkeltaub did such an amazing job on my breast reduction surgery. I went it with back pain, shoulder and neck pain and breathing issues. All of that is gone after surgery and they look amazing! This doctor was rude during the consultation, and asked me to get an MRI before letting me know a surgery date. 3 weeks after having my MRI results, and multiple phone calls later from myself begging the nurses for some kind of answer (He would never get on the phone) I was told to go to another doctor. Maybe he is good at what he does? I don't know. All I needed was a lypoma removed. Maybe if I had some lipo done too he would have been nicer? read more
