If I could give Dr. Steven Williams 10 stars, I would. I was having a lot of issues with my oral health. I have limited living bone on my upper gums. My husband and I started our research into options for dental implants, (all-on-4). I'm glad we found Dr. Williams. I know my case was not so easy and very challenging. After a thorough examination he presented us with a treatment plan. I needed a sinus lift with multiple bone grafts and implants on my upper gums. It sounded really scary and painful at first. Dr. Williams made me feel comfortable and explained to me in detail the process. I thought I would like to be sedated but he assured me that I would not feel pain with just local anesthesia. He was right! I was so relaxed during the procedure and did not feel any discomfort. Thanks to Jeffrey (office comfort dog, i fell in love with him) he sat on my lap through out the procedure and kept me warm!!! Dr. Williams was very meticulous and a perfectionist with his work. Today, I just got my temporary teeth and I am so happy with them. I love the office atmosphere. The staff made me feel like I'm family! Liz was very easy to work with. She was very calm and sweet. I would give Dr. Steven Williams 500 stars if I could! Dr. Williams did an absolutely stunning and magnificent job designing, preparing, and installing a crown for one of my two front teeth. The crown is absolutely perfect. I'm completely blown away - I can't believe the crown looks as great and natural as it does. Both Dr Steven and Dr Harley are fabulous. Very friendly and professional. I feel very confident in their abilities. They are able to create options to help repair my complicated teeth issues! Originally I was referred to them with a serious infection and feeling intense pain. Dr Harley quickly realized the issues, relieved the pain and and then prepared my mouth for implants. I had many follow up exams to ensure all was healing nicely. I am now getting ready for the final stages of implants. Dr Steve offered various options to solve my situation. I am not a fan of dental work, but Dr. Williams was an excellent dentist. I was able to get in for an emergency visit quickly. He was very thorough in explaining what was happening with my procedure and seemed to get it done quickly and effectively. I am always scared of pain and I have to say, I experience minimal pain. He seemed very in tune with my pain level and made me as comfortable as possible. Also, I got the feeling he was confident and really good at what he does. I would definitely recommend him! Another characteristic I really liked about him is that he was very personable, but without the unnecessary small talk, which I prefer not to have when I am coming in with dental pain. read more

I had a root canal done in December 2020. Dr. Williams was professional and friendly. He took the time to clean some teeth where my other dentist missed in November. Dr. Williams taught me a better way to floss. He called on a Saturday to make sure everything went well. I had an implant put in on April 2nd. It went smoothly. I appreciated that he didn't do an unnecessary bone graft. Another oral surgeon wanted to charge me $695 for a bone graft that I didn't need; insurance would not have covered it. I overheard another patient paid about $540 for a bone graft at Dr. Williams'. He called Monday to make sure things were going well. I appreciate the care Dr. Williams took in doing both procedures. I was referred to Dr. Steven Williams for a cavity in a tooth root. He explained that I might need an extraction/implant, but he would analyze the tooth to see if a filling and root canal would work. After taking a 3-D xray, he went with the filling and root canal. He completed the procedure and saved my tooth. I have no post op pain or swelling, and am grateful to have the tooth saved. I was referred to Dr. Williams by my regular dentist as I was in need of a root canal ASAP (the pain was horrendous). I am absolutely horrified at the thought of needles and drills at work in my mouth, so the root canal recommendation practically turned me to stone. Dr. Williams office saw me that afternoon and assisted me getting through the weekend by prescribing antibiotics and pain medication while also lightly shaping the tooth to reduce pressure on my bite. The following Monday morning, I went into the office to complete the procedure... not only was Dr. Williams a calming presence, the anesthetic was administered so perfectly I hardly felt a single thing during the entire process. I normally clutch the chair handles during any invasive dental procedure but roughly 20 minutes into the procedure I was relaxed with my legs crossed... this NEVER happens. For anyone in need of such a procedure, I couldn't have had a better experience. read more

Dr. Williams is an artisan, tech aficionado and master of his trade in endodontics. He gave my challenging root canal the attention and time it needed to clear out all of the infected debris. I made the mistake of allowing a general dentist to clear the abscess which caused corrective work to be done. I appreciated Dr. Williams' professionalism and bed-side manner. The technology he utilizes in his office shows how invested he is in delivering the highest level of care possible. He also used a microscope camera to and drew visual aids to allow me to fully understand the process he went thru. I am extremely grateful and will only allow Dr. Williams to manage the health of my teeth moving forward. read more

I was such a bundle of nerves before my root canal, but I had no reason to fear. The front office staff made me feel very comfortable and eased my worries. Dr. Williams did a thorough re-exam before proceeding with the root canal and explained what to expect. I honestly didn't feel a thing! The time passed so fast and I was relaxed the whole time (even watched a movie!) After the procedure, Dr. Williams explained everything thoroughly to me including what to expect and after care needed. I would give zero stars if I could. Dr. Steven Williams DDS is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever experienced. He has zero 'bedside' manners or care for the patient in the chair. This was the second root canal I had gone to him for. I am an anxious person when it comes to the dentist. After reading all the good reviews Dr. Steven Williams, I felt good about choosing him. When giving the novocaine injection he doesn't let you know it's coming and goes fast with injecting the novacaine - when you do this there is more discomfort- instead of going slow and taking slight pause. When I went back for a consult I found out I needed a second root canal. Upon arriving I let Dr. Steven Williams know that I felt he didn't hear me last time when I said to slow down or needed a break and that the injections were just being slammed in and causing me discomfort. He brushed it off and continued- he did the exact same thing slammed the injection fast. Through the 3.5 hour root canal he never once asked if I was ok, or needed a break - nor did his assistant. Dr. Steven Williams mumbles to himself while he works, mostly talking about the procedure/ which is fine. However mixed into his mumbling he deeply offended me. I was watching a cooking show during the procedure 'Nailed it" - it's mindless silliness. Dr. Steven Williams while working on my root canal mumbled "This is a F***ing stupid show, f***ing stupid" I was SHOCKED and very uncomfortable, I was in the middle of the root canal so could not say anything. I was so shocked in the end I really couldn't believe this happened. I wrote the his office a letter and wanted to let others know what kind of person he is. Still gives me the creeps thinking of my experience. I wanted to let others know. My experience was not right, this is not ok. I do not recommend Dr. Steven Williams. read more

I have teeth from hell. Last week got an infection in a root canal -- have never been in such pain in my life. Dr. Williams fit me in on short notice and then stayed super late on a Friday night to fix my tooth....a 3 hour ordeal. He didn't seem put out at all about doing it, was very nice and professional. He gave me some pain meds before I even left the office so I didn't have to suffer until I could get to the pharmacy. I have had a LOT of shoddy dental work in my day and Dr. Williams is a GREAT choice if you want quality work. read more

Dr. Williams is amazing. I had on/off discomfort for 2 years from a root canal another dentist had done. He went in and fixed the problem the same day as my consult. He uses excellent pain meds so I didn't feel a thing. He has a TV monitor so I watched a movie while he worked. Also on the same monitor he could show me what he was doing when he got to interesting parts. And the staff was super nice. Sandy at the front desk, Gina the Dr. Assisstant, Carol...all pleasant people. Dr. Williams also has top notch equipment, including an operating microscope he uses as he does his work. My prior dentist didn't have one and it seems essential to be able to see all the canals and do this procedure correctly. In short, don't go anywhere else but to Dr Williams for a root canal! read more

I've had a lot of dental work in my life including jaw surgery...this Dr.is PHENOMENAL....I've to have 2root canals in 2 wks. The first one on a badly damaged tooth. I was referred to Dr Williams for a dental emergency last week. I was in a lot of pain and since dentists are basically only open for emergencies, because of the covid19, I was fortunate enough to be referred to him! I have been complaining about the same pain without a confirmed diagnosis for literally, years! I have seen my dentist and have been referred to 2 different Endodontists, but no one could find the source of the pain even after several root canals, the pain persisted. After contacting my dentist again for the same pain that had become unbearable, he referred me to Dr. Williams. From the first phone call to request an appointment time to the treatment that followed, the staff was fabulous! Dr.Williams was very professional. He explained everything to me, gave me my options and was very thorough, from his explanation of flossing correctly to his meticulous treatment. My experience at his office was outstanding! I am so hopeful that this pain that has been with me for a very long time has finally been diagnosed, and treated. I was referred to Dr. Williams for a Tooth extraction evaluation and was pretty nervous about it. Dr. Williams and his staff were professional and easy to work with. The actual procedure was next to painless! I didn't even realize when he pulled the tooth. I was in and out without much fuss. He even hummed a tune to the music playing while working on me which calmed me down. LOL. I agree with everything that previous people have written concerning the outstanding service that Dr. Williams and his staff provides. I have read a number of yelp comments about many services and businesses. This is the first one that I've with no negative comment from a complainer. One dentist that I went to had some guy complain that the dentist dared to charge him for his checkup. He mentioned that he found some dentist who gave him a 'free' check-up. The fool doesn't know that there are plenty of scam artists who can't wait to get you into their door to 'find' plenty of money making things to do in your mouth. I had one of these who wanted to pull a perfectly good wisdom tooth because he said that I didn't need it. He even got paid by my insurance for his fake check up. Anyway, his complaint remained on my dentist's Yelp review forever. Yet, when I wrote an outstanding review of him on Yelp, Yelp removed it only 2 days later as it had done on all the previous reviews of this dentist. Yet, that one complaint by this sniveling whiner who didn't want to pay the dentist for the time and the X-rays he took remained for all to se forever. When my dentist confronted Yelp about this, it simply suggested that he pay to join Yelp to 'fix' this situation. Before I went to a local and well known jewelry in Livermore, I saw a single complaint about a tall unfriendly blonde who was not helpful. Once again, this single complaint remained while numerous positive ones appeared for 2 days and then disappeared. Yelp repeated the same 'offer' as it did to my dentist. Based upon these episodes, I have no confidence in Yelp and would certainly never pay for it. read more

On the recommendation of a good friend, I went to see Dr. Steven Williams because my regular dentist said I likely needed a root canal. I had a root canal done when I was a teenager and it was a horrible experience. I was very nervous and apprehensive about having another one done. I am not one who is scared of medical procedures, shots or doctors, but having a root canal is another story. When I went for the consultation, Dr. Williams was so nice, reassuring and just all around made me feel comfortable. I had the root canal done the next day. The procedure went very well and I had very little pain after. I am having another one done in a few days, and I anticipate it will go just fine. In addition to Dr. Williams professionalism, his office is beautiful and his office staff is very accommodating. I would highly recommend Dr. Williams.
