The dental rooms are new with state-of-the-art equipment. My dentist recently merged with this group which is the apparent reason for my first visit here. Other than my dental hygienist being the same person, and my dentist as well, there is not much more I can review at this time. I have been extremely satisfied with my dentist and dental hygienist for years. We shall see where this goes in months to come.

They take virtually all types of payment and insurance. The office is pleasant and the staff is caring and courteous. As for me, I am not an easy patient and have long experience with dental work since I was a child. Now I'm an old cranky guy. I did not inherit the genes that produce beautiful teeth. I have known the owner for 14 years when she did my first case. I was treated by all three doctors this year. I would put them up against anybody in the field. When you finish your work and it does not feel quite right, you can return until it feels right. There is no shoddy work here. They could be on Park Avenue treating the rich and famous , but they are here in Queens, New York. In closing, Miryem is a migrant success story . I was a happy patient at Ritter Dental in Massapequa for many years up until now. I agreed to a…read moremouth guard for my tmj. Margaret at the front desk submitted authorization to Cigna. After weeks going by when I came back for a cleaning I asked again about a mouth guard and my authorization. Margaret at the front desk resubmitted another authorization for the mouth Guard. Margaret told me my cost was $104 after what Cigna paid. I paid the $104 in full and then they ordered my guard. I asked Margaret twice I'm paid in full correct? she gave me a receipt with paid in full. I then called to see if The guard was in Margaret said yes but I had a balance of $90 more. I said no you said I was paid in full. Margaret then said it's Cigna, thsts yiur insurance company telling us what you owe, and it was also my deductible. I called Cigna myself and to my surprise Dr Ritter office submitted ANOTHER MOUTH GUARD CODE, a more expensive mouth guard and that was why they wanted more money. Cigna also said the first authorization was still good and gave me dates and two different codes that Margaret submitted. My deductible was also already met! I owed nothing more. Margaret and I spoke again and she implied I lied about calling Cigna but that they would waive the $90. I work in the medical world and know plenty about medical billing! Dr. Ritter is committing Fraud! The Ritter team also is committing FRAUD! Margaret you are just as guilty submitting FALSE INFORMATION to the insurance companies. Dr. Ritter is stealing from each and every patient with good dental insurance! Since picking up my mouth guard I recently got a letter in the mail that I was thrown out of the practice. Dr. Ritter you are a disgrace to the Dental world and I will report you to the better business bureau and expose you on every social media platform. You and your whole staff are thieves! If you Go to their website you will see many other patients complained of the exact same billing tactics and once they challenged them, Dr Ritter threw them out of the practice. During the first appointment, he redid the filling. Aside from a little pain, it was quick and over. Over the course of two weeks, the sensitivity/pain heightened. Being the paranoid person I am, I called and left a message. Dr. Gochman was nice enough to send a text and reminded me to be patient. The pain did not subside so I went back and Dr. Gochman asked some questions (scale of 1-10, how bad is the pain, how often, etc etc.). He observed the tooth and said he could do a root canal but his gut was telling him not to. He said I can wait a month to see how things pan out or seek a second opinion. I appreciated the honesty as my usual dentist's endo once recommended a root canal on another tooth which turned out to be perfectly fine. Anyway, while the visits were nice, the second visit felt as if Dr. Gochman did not really believe I was in as much discomfort as I mentioned or he was not in a great mood that particular day. But I'm still giving my visits a 4-star; I've read many great reviews on Yelp about Dr. Gochman's office and their service and I can only assume the uncertainty of the pandemic has affected everyone and my discomfort may not have been as serious as some of the other patients that the doctor has seen. Truly appreciate his office for taking new patients and the honesty given. Hoping that the pain ends soon and that when things are back to "normal", I can go into the doctor's office as a returning patient.
