*****So Far So Good!*****…read more I scheduled an initial evaluation for braces for my eight-year-old. The consultation was free and the intake was easy peasy. My eight-year-old enjoyed the visit and is looking forward to braces. The doctor is great with kids. She treated my child like an adult and spoke to her in a very friendly way. She also asked questions and held a pleasant conversation with her. She explained the x-rays and what was going on with her little baby teeth and the big teeth that are making their way out. She made my child feel at ease and addressed her questions. After the exam, the estimate and details of the insurance were explained to me. The doctor also explained to me how she planned to proceed. I left feeling comfortable and understanding everything. A tentative date for the first stage of braces was made. This is my second child going for braces. I do plan on getting a second opinion because that is just the responsible thing to do. However, I also plan on keeping my appointment for the initial stage of braces unless there is something significantly different. So far so Good! I will update this review as the process continues.

He really made his office like a little aquarium! One staff told me he did it all himself!!! I couldn't believe it. For me, I had a consultation with him. He referred me to a periodontist because of my receding gum line. Even the periodontist that I saw spoke very highly of Dr. Digiovanni. To me that really says something about his work ethics and caring for his patients individually. He doesn't want to just do a job if it's not worth it or the outcome won't be as what the patient wants. Highly recommend this orthodontist!

Misleading... they advertise they take new patients but then wanted to charge me money to see the…read moreorthodontist for a consult. Essentially, I have to pay for a meet and greet. It gets even crazier, they wanted my prior orthodontist to sign a permission slip, like I'm going on a 4th grade field trip, if it's ok I see another orthodontist to finish up treatment. I spoke to the office manager and she stated the same. As such, the appointment was cancelled. I have free will to go to any orthodontist I choose and don't need to ask permission from anyone to do so. Even if I didn't want to continue treatment and just simply have a retainer made, they still wanted to follow the same protocol, where I pay just to meet the orthodontist (no work done) and get a permission slip signed. Ridiculous... UPDATE: As explained in a private message to Dr. DiGiovanni, this is NOT a law (look it up) but more so a rule their office came up with. I have contacted Align Technology via email (makers of Invisalign) who also shared my sentiments (see highlighted section on attached photo). After contacting Dr. DiGiovanni's office, I contacted a "diamond level" Invisalign provider (highest level they have) who did the work I needed done ... and wait for it... never had to get a permission slip or ask my previous orthodontist. This is not just my experience, but also the experience of a close friend who also changed providers and didn't need a permission slip signed. It's no different than if you want to change doctors, you don't need to ask your old doctor if you can go to a new one, needing them agree in order to leave... you simply leave and find a new doctor. Not only did I get the work done elsewhere, I also didn't have to pay a consultation fee either. Dr. DiGiovanni's office wanted hundreds just to MEET the doctor. Get out of here!
