everything about this office is so inviting and incredible. every single person i've interacted with, from the office admin to assistants to the doctors themselves provide such a sweet demeanor and welcoming vibe. no one really likes dental work of any kind, but they make it such a pleasant experience that i never dreaded any of my appointments. the girls in the office would always gush over my nails or accessories or outfits as pleasant small talk and it just makes you excited for your appointments when there's such a hype squad ready to greet you! they were so helpful in fixing my issues with my invisalign when i transferred my case to them from a previous office, and they were able to address each and every concern! they were always as accommodating as possible when scheduling appointments, and even though i'm sure they have hundreds of patients, they know how to still make you feel as special as the next. i just had my final appointment with them today as i ended my invisalign treatment, and they even provided me with a little goody bag that had a celebratory mini bottle of bubbly to really make it feel like such a special occasion. i'm almost disappointed to not have any future appointments that would allow me to interact with the office staff again, but i'm so incredibly pleased with the results that i figured this would be the best way to show my gratitude! i would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for orthodontic work!!! read more

First this review has been long overdue and I've already completed my treatment of Invisalign here at Simply Orthodontics. But let me tell you right now stop looking for another office. Sure ortho is not cheap so that's why it's so important to find somewhere that will actually listen to you instead of looking at you with dollar signs. I've done my research and I made the hour commute to come here is honestly because I felt heard and seen. So many places just made me feel forced or pressured to sign with them same-day and didn't really give me the chance to think it over. So when I met Min I knew instantly this was it I finally found my dental home to help correct my bite and smile. Dr. Shung has saved our family a lot of money with his innovation and expertise! When my daughter's front top tooth grew in back behind her bottom teeth, our dentist told us it was an urgent issue that needed attention before her other adult teeth had come in. The dentist gave us information about three orthodontists, so I set out to get three different quotes. The first two orthodontists said that she would need an expander and then braces on her top 4 teeth to fix the problematic tooth, with the cost estimated to be about $2000 after insurance benefits were applied. Then, I went to Dr. Shung. He said that he had developed a special retainer to push forward the lone problem tooth, for a cost of less than $500 after insurance (and less than $900 before). I don't think the other orthodontists were being misleading; Dr. Shung told me that it was standard practice to use an expander and braces on the top 4 teeth, but that seemed like a lot of resources for just one problem tooth, so he had developed something better. After just a month of wearing the retainer, my daughter's tooth has already moved in front of her bottom teeth, and in another month it should be in the proper position. Then, once the rest of her baby teeth fall out and her other adult teeth come in, we'll proceed with full-mouth braces. I'm grateful to Dr. Shung for saving our family a lot of money during this first phase of orthodontic treatment. read more

Simply Orthodontics is stellar! My review is for an adult that needed teeth straightening again (I had braces when I was younger but failed to wear my retainers). I had received some consultations from other orthodontics offices prior coming to Simply Orthodontics and most of them said I wouldn't be able to get close to what I wanted. This is a bittersweet review to write because my treatment is over! :( However, I have nothing but great things to say about the SO staff and Dr. Shung & Dr. Mana! From day one they treated me with kindness, respect and such warm feelings! I felt so welcomed here the minute I stepped foot in here just for my consultation. I wasn't just another a number walking through the door, not just another cash patient. I was a real human being to them and that is how they treated me. Kelsey at the front desk is a true gem, every time I'd come she'd greet me right away by name and already have me checked in, it's the little things like that making me feel so special! You'd be surprised how many places I go into where they don't even acknowledge you and make you feel invisible. So I always felt so welcomed here and they did that to every patient that came in. Disrespectful staff. No regard for anyone's time but their own. I came in for an appointment at 10:30. I arrived at 10:38 checked in sat down for 15 minutes. No one told me when I checked in that they were running behind. No one called me before my appointment to tell me they were running behind. They just let me sit there. I got up to speak to the girl at the receptionist area. She had a total attitude and was super condescending when I asked if they were running behind and how much longer it would take she told me five minutes I told her that if they did not see me in five minutes, I was going to leave, which is exactly what I did. Schedule better or communicate more effectively. You have now lost a customer that would have been with you for life. I would've recommended others to you. read more

My longtime dentist, Dr Huy Dang, from Foothill Family Dentistry, recommended Dr. Shung for his convenient location to our home, but we were even more pleasantly surprised with the professionalism and beautifully appointed office and staff! My son had his Phase 1 top braces done (expander as well) while we wait for more of his baby teeth to come out before phase 2. They give points for good hygiene, not breaking brackets in between visits, and being on time for appointments. You redeem points for gift cards to places such as Target and Amazon- the incentives are great for kid patients! We have had the blessing of experiencing their service and gracious hospitality pre-Covid - the snacks , herb and fruit infused water, fun pumpkin contests, lobby iPads, and the ability to sit with our kids while they get their work done, plus have any questions answered on the spot. Now there's pre--appt Covid questionnaires, temp checks outside in their pre designated spots, and we have to wait outside unless you insist (w/mask of course)... they've tried to keep things cordial and upbeat, but it is definitely not enjoyable all around! The office doesn't have dividers but it is quite spacious and they get the job done. I've had my aligner sets on changed once per week and I've seen improvement in my bite. I finished my orthodontia with Dr. Shung in Feb. 2020; I was fortunate to have my braces removed before the pandemic. I had a few post-braces visits in 2021 to ensure my retainer was intact and my smile was perfect. I am writing now because I wanted to check in three years later, and he was none too happy to spend a few minutes checking my smile and assessing my retainer AND file a few edges on my teeth to make my smile perfect. As someone that grew up with crooked teeth I decided it was time to use my adult work money to get it fixed! I first found out about this place because my friend Josh got his Invisalign treatment here and said he had a great experience. I made an appointment to get a consultation in which they told me Invisalign would be a great fit for my straightened teeth goals. I have to say this is one of the friendliest and coolest staff I have ever met. It genuinely made me feel a part of a family instead of just going to get a procedure done. The doctor is super accommodating and straight forward as he was explaining the process. Now the Invisalign method itself was fairly easy to be honest. The first week was a bit annoying at first just cause of the new teeth attachments that my tongue had to get used to. However, the fact that you can just take the trays off to eat is amazing. There were also many instances where my friends didn't even realize my Invisalign trays were on. I would come in every couple of months for a checkup but the treatment itself never really got any harder with time. I've never had braces so I can't really give a good comparison but its super dope that Invisalign trays are straight forward and easy to adopt into my lifestyle. All in all it took about roughly 2 years to complete my treatment, which honestly went by super quick! I now just wear the retainers and it's a normal part of my routine now.
