It is located in the Promenade on North Sycamore Street. Parking and entrance are in the rear of the building. The retail area is well appointed and the sales staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful in responding to inquiries and requests for repairs. I was there to have an Omega wristwatch metal band adjusted to sit more centered when worn and to replace the battery. To my great surprise, the representative at the front desk immediately took the watch over to the workbench and did the adjustments needed. It was interesting to see him work with those tiny specialized tools to remove and replace the pins with miniature screw driver and rubber mallet. He encountered some difficulty replacing the rear watch case after inserting the new battery, something he anticipated might be a problem because of the way Omega designs its pieces, and advised that it would have to be sent to their master watch person to get it done right. I appreciated that he tried his best to complete the replacement, understood there could be a problem, encountered it, and did not try to do too much and end up worsening the situation. This old watch has been in the family for a while and we want it well cared for; which it was. The story isn't fully writ, and won't be complete until this little beauty is back from the master watchman, but to this moment we have been impressed with the customer care received, and the fact that Bernie Robbins was not going to charge for the adjustment, but only for the new battery. To us, that small bit of largesse on top of their wonderful attitude, was enough to cement us as customers going forward. So glad that they choose Newtown as a desirable place to expand their business. Bernie Robbins is exactly the kind of enterprise we envisioned for the community.

Their collection of grandfather clocks included historic machines that had played a part in the American Revolutionary War. Legend tells us that the very time keeper present in the room where Washington planned his Christmas Eve crossing of the Delaware River leading to the Battle of Trenton, had been repaired several times by this master clocksmith, and resided there for extended periods before the local historic commission was finally formed and took possession of this and many other important irreplaceable objects. A visit to the Half Moon Inn/courthouse a few streets away will grant you an introduction to this very clock, where it continues to keep time to this day. So, the clock shop may be gone, but it's most famous visitor still exists a short walk away on Court Street. If clocks could talk, what tales it would tell!

They claimed they "called me since 10 AM," yet I did not receive a single call, voicemail, or text. Nothing. Absolutely no attempt to reach me. When I calmly offered to stay and wait, they flat-out refused to accommodate me or even attempt to fix their own scheduling mistake. David and Sierra handled the situation with zero professionalism, zero empathy, and zero accountability. As someone who has worked in salons, I can confidently say I have never seen a business treat a client this poorly. Any reputable owner would have apologized and corrected the error -- not doubled down and forced a paying client to cover THEIR mistake. The entire experience felt like a scam. Julia spent time with me and designed a setting on the computer that suited me perfectly. She listened to my concerns and wants and created a ring that is gorgeous! Everything I asked for was accomplished and I am extremely pleased with the results. They even added "wings" inside the ring so it can slide with ease over my knuckle and stops the diamond from turning. I'm looking forward to doing business with them again in the future.

The shop was cluttered and unclean, setting a questionable tone. They tried to convince me that I needed to apply an additional 54% reduction on the 14-karat gold price, even though the spot price of $71 per gram was already adjusted for purity. This was just a tactic to lower their offer even more. They also lied about the weight of my gold, claiming I had only 9.7 grams when the reality was different. In contrast, Dublin Jewelers offered me a fair and honest price of $760 for the gold and an additional $105 for the gemstones, totaling $865. This stark difference highlighted how much Guy Edward's was trying to not just shortchange me but completely rip me off and take advantage of a potentially unknowing customer. They were not only undervaluing the gold but also ignoring the actual weight and the value of the gemstones. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I initially went in, I pretended not to know anything about the actual gold value. Once I mentioned the correct spot price, they looked surprised and tried to gaslight me one last time, but ultimately they gave up once it was clear that I knew exactly what was going on. The entire Family and Staff joined in on the dishonest tactics, collectively trying to gaslight me and push me into thinking the other shop made a miscalculation. It was a coordinated effort to rob me. Gold price is easy to see there should be no games played with the price they knew there is zero excuse for this even removing the value of stones they were trying to rob me as Dublin Jewelers offered me 760$ for gold ALONE comparing that to Guy Edward's offer of 404$ it's clear this wasn't just them offering a bad rate but them completely trying to take advantage of me and steal from me. In summary, Guy Edward's Jewelry is not trustworthy. They knew what they were doing and chose to deceive me anyway. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business there to look elsewhere and choose reputable jewelers like Dublin Jewelers. This business is NOT helping their customers get the full value for their precious metals . They thought I was someone who didn't know any better and tried to exploit me extremely disappointing to see people treat others like this. Buying gold makes money already there is no need to scam. The point is, the owner evidently does accept some slightly dated items, but I'm fairly sure her decision to do so depends on what the items are, if there is a need for them, and if the shop has space, just to name a few.
