I was super excited to come get my hair done by Alyssa. I follow her on TikTok and I truly thought her work was gorgeous. Upon arriving to the salon, I was pleasantly surprised I was taken to be seen on time at 9:15am. We went over what I was looking for and how I wanted to have something with a noticeably difference. Past experiences I have gotten my hair dyed and felt it looked almost like it was just a touch up instead of whole new color. I expressed that, Alyssa understood. She stated I need a blow dry and wash since build up to get started. I definitely think during booking the reception should say please come with your washed hair but I digress. We washed and blow dried my hair and was done at 10:00. Her assistant said Alyssa will be right with you, as she was wrapping up with her first client.. about 35 minutes later we resume, which I found a waste of time. But stuff happens, I understand so I thought that would be a one off of waiting long period with doing nothing. We did a full balayage for $500 dollars. Since I've had balayages done before I anticipated about 3 hours. While foiling Alyssa mentioned the service will take 4 1/2 hours. Longer than usual but that's okay for the work she does. Since we bleach my hair, she said okay everything is looking as expected well wash out my hair some sections 10 minutes and the rest 30 minutes. She then starts her 2nd client in between my appointment slot, which again I don't mind because I'm lifting color. But then the time frame she gave comes and goes .. I wait 40 minutes go by .. 50 minutes go by and then we finally wash it out. Once done washing she said okay a treatment needs to sit in my hair for 10 minutes and she's going to mix my color in the meantime. Nope.. I then wait at the sink bowl for 40 minutes, just waiting. In my opinion, yes she can resume with her second client but apply my toner while I'm waiting 40 minutes. It's now already 2:00pm been 5 hours since the start for my appointment and all we've done is highlights... All this to say my appointment process continues to go like this. Alyssa is with me for maybe 20 minutes at a time and I'm left waiting long periods, whatever the task at hand needs to develop add about 30 minutes of additional waiting. I finally finish my hair at 4:47. My hair looks brown.. I paid $550 with tip, for brown hair/ grays still showing at the root and was there for 7 and half hours!! (9:15-4:47). Biggest disappointment , my hair doesn't look bad but I've been to other stylist for $250 and had the same out come and was in the seat for two hours. She was severely over booked and customer service lacked. Communication goes a long way, a thank you for waiting during long duration would've been appreciated.

I'm someone who expects to spend the full day at the salon since my hair is thick and it takes about 6-7 hours to get this type of work done. I go in every 6 months and will bring work with me or something to kill time when I'm waiting around for processing and if she happens to run late. She's very clean and the studio is well lit and has nice aesthetics. Happy to say I won't be needing a new hair stylist soon. Although I do have to drive extra to her after moving, I like her work, her personality, her attention to the questions and concerns I have.
