He came out next morning and gave me an estimate and a few options for materials he had on hand already and could provide for a discount. He happened to have availability, and he and a helper came out that afternoon and started the demo of the existing concrete slabs and weeding. The next day, they came and continued digging out and started filling and leveling the ground. The paving looks excellent, and TJ made sure the design was functional for irrigation (important especially with all the flooding). For ease of moving stuff to/from truck, they tapped out a few planks of the fence. A few pieces were slightly damaged, and they replaced it before they wrapped up on Day 3 - no questions asked. I love the little pattern he did in alternating the direction of the paving - I never even thought of all these little details. He came back day 3 and finished it off in the morning. I'm in love with my new backyard! TJ also always had the brightest smile. In 95+ weather after 6+ hours of hard labor, that positive attitude really stood out to me. 5 stars all the way!

Based on a recommendation from Rick…read moreat Faber CNK, I contacted Shail and he fairly quickly came to look at the job and give a very fair quote. He communicated well along the way as the rain caused delays in all exterior yard contractors schedules. He and his crew were the best contractors we had across the many during our patio build and new yard build. Our job is fairly substantial - about 320 16" X 16" silver travertine pavers (from Rick at Faber CNK) in 40" wide pathways with backstar gravel plus chopped stone edging all along the garden/tree beds around the new backyard. Probably about 300 linear feet of 40" wide pathways plus backstar gravel around the back of the house. While he was here and in addition to the planned work, they also installed 15 in-ground LED well lights into the pathways, put in an additional drain, and installed holes/pipes for the main gate cane bolts. Shail also recommended where to get the chop stone and picked it up for the job. This is his own small business, and Shail treats his customers very well while doing the work along with his crew. I cannot compliment Shail and his crew enough. They were in and out in four days plus Shail came back after a full day's work on a Saturday to finish up a few hours on Saturday evening. Relative to our other contractors, Shail and his crew took care to keep the yard free of trash and leave the remaining materials organized. I have a 6 zone irrigation system and followed their EXACT watering instructions. Grass began disappearing after 3 weeks. I called and got new watering instructions, but it did not help. Jeremy refused to come out to my house to assess the issue after spending $1600 with them and proceeded to yell at me through the phone that "IT IS YOUR FAULT THE GRASS IS DEAD NOT MINE". After multiple conversations he agreed to re-sod 2 pallets for $150 labor cost. Week after week he came up with excuses as to why he couldn't come out. After 2 months I finally realized I was being lied to and he eventually blocked my number. I drove to his "address" on 1960 which is actually a small piece of a lot that he rents on occasion. I had the land owner call him and he eventually told me "I will mail you a $300 check for your trouble". 1.5 months later and still no check or sod... This guy is a complete snake. Stay away. Shawn and Lauren came to our house in early spring, to review our 'wish list' and problem areas of our yard. First and most importantly we wanted a patio, with a pergola. Large enough for a picnic table, nothing fussy but maybe something causal like that at an ice house. Next I wished for a small Louisiana inspired courtyard to remind me of home. We needed extra storage because we only have a small one car garage that is full of bikes, so maybe a bike shed. And I needed something easy to maintain that would be wildlife friendly like a little woodland park.. We also needed to look at our yard and irrigation. Lauren looked over our space and listened to me ramble about my dream yard. Shawn measured everything. Our 2nd meeting was at their home/office and the plans were revealed. Lauren had listened and her beautiful design captured all my wishes. Shawn reviewed the entire plant list, materials and costs. The proposal was professional, completely detailed with photos and names of each plant and flower, photos of previous projects that were similar, and broken up in the following components - Yard Landscaping - Pergola - Bike Shed - Flagstone Patio - Side Yard Screen (for courtyard) - Raised Bed - Irrigation. This way we could select which project for now and for later. We had to wait til August for our project to begin and we had them do ALL of the projects. We have exactly what was detailed in the proposal and are very pleased. I love the flagstone path around my yard, it is like walking in a park. The raised bed has irrigation and tons of sun so my herbs should be very happy. I am seeing new birds and butterflies and hummingbirds that I hadn't seen before. Lauren and Shawn make the perfect team. Their enthusiasm is enchanting, it is wonderful to hear them describe the flora and fauna on the project, one day I will be able to tell you the names of all 28 new plants and flowers that were added to my yard. When it was ready, Shawn and Laurin had my wife and I to their home and walked us through their vision for the yard.
