Took my truck for what I believed was an electrical issue.. The service manager assumed it would be something else. One day after the mechanic called said it was spark plug wires. 2 days After that said it was an injector, following day it was a lifter.. After a week I went to pick up my truck no injector was put in, it doesn't even look like they lifted the cover to the engine (it's full of dust, no finger marks does t look disturbed at all) Spark plug wire looks the same way I can't really tell if they are the same of new ones.. Went in for a dent removal quote on my brand new truck, and these scum bags were trying to soft sell me on how bad it was and wanted to know what insurance I used so the could quote me. when I asked why, they said it was a different price depending on the insurance coming out of I paid cash (more if I paid cash). What a shitty group of people trying to squeeze the most out of people depending on which insurance company they have, working the system. I went in after showing interest in a vehicle I found on carguru, the vehicle itself looked to be just fine for what it was; an 8 year old SUV with 3 previous owners and a little under 100k miles- On their digital ad, it was priced pretty fairly considering all that. Drove it around the parking lot and went inside to talk numbers, I expected the price to go up a little with taxes and tags and such right but what I didn't expect was an offer to be presented that was $6,500 more than what I came in for. We bought a BRAND NEW truck in May. It's the end of Sept and we have only had the truck in our possession 3 wks out of this time. They have misdiagnosed the "problem" every time the truck has been there. There is NO communication, unless you call to ask questions or check on the status. JUST ANOTHER JACKSONVILLE DEALER TRYING TO RIP OFF MARINES Ron claimed upfront he was not a typical Jacksonville car dealer that makes the sale all about the monthly payment. We expressed over and over that the overall price was what we were concerned about. When it came down to discussing buying the car he absolutely made the deal about the monthly payment vice the overall price of the car. He even tried running a credit check (which will negatively effect your credit score) before discussing the final price of the car. They try to pressure you into buying and Ron became confrontational with me when we said we were not interested. If you research online you will see that most of their cars on the lot are over priced. I would not buy from them. read more

This is a business that is true to OVER PROMISE & UNDER DELIVER. I have been researching 2017 Silverado 1500 online for best prices and I had come across Stevenson Chevrolet. They looked as though they were running great deals over Labor Day Weekend and I found a few trucks that were less then all of the competition. So I decided to go check them out and look at a 2017 Silverado that was priced on their website for original MSRP $50,415 and with all the discounts shown below, it was suppose to be $40,315 with a $10,100 savings. Of course I drove 50 miles to the dealership thinking it was a good time to purchase. When I got there, I went straight to the truck and a salesman came out and said...... Oh No, this truck here is actually $72,000 because it was Lifted and had special oversized tires on it. I then said, why in the world would you advertise it for 40,315 on the internet after all incentives? He said well that is the price of the truck not including the special Lift, Dual Exhaust & Tires. So I said, so the after market items cost an additional $32,000???? Then he goes in and talks to of course the GM and then comes back out saying that they can take $17,000 off the truck to make the sale price $55,000. Of course at that time I already had a bad taste in my mouth knowing that this was a bad misleading dealership to deal with. I then figured, well if they could come down 17,000 on the first bite, then maybe I was able to get it down to the price that they were actually advertising the truck for on their website, but no they did not budge. So basically they got me in there with the hopes of getting the truck for $40,315 but then wouldn't budge from $55,000. No where on their internet ad did they state that this truck was more than $40,315 and I did qualify for every incentive. This is a very deceiving tatic that they used. I have never understood why businesses run with the model of "OVER PROMISE & UNDER DELIVER" Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I have bought many New vehicles in my lifetime but I have never ran across a dealership that was this misleading in price. I understand that they are trying advertising tatics to gain advantage over the competition but word of mouth is the best form of advertising and the last thing you want to do is keep on misleading customers with false ads. They were out of rental cars so an employee drove me back home so I didn't have to wait for hours. They even offered to pick me back up to get my car if I don't have a ride. This has been the most unfulfilling car buying experience ever. We bought this car a few months ago and it has been a long bumpy ride. First, the car was damaged when it was delivered to me. My salesman later told me my car was delivered from Goldsboro and he hadn't laid eyes on the car. After a week of getting the run around, my car was picked back up to be repaired. I have yet to receive my copy of the million forms we signed. I asked my salesman about a second key and he told me it only came with one. If I'm paying $25K for a car, it should come with 2 keys. I love my car and that makes it somewhat better. My sister bought a car from Stevenson and so did a friend of hers. And we are still waiting on our referral money we were promised for those two additional sales. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. This dishonesty and underhanded tactics are deplorable. I wish I could scrape the name off the back of my car. It is now almost a month later and I did send Mr Pittman a rather extensive email and he replied telling me he would get details and be in touch. I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM HIM. In stead I keep getting harassed by his service department about an oil change that's due to me. I have NO business in Swansboro and it is highly unlikely that I will ever be in that part of the state ever again. read more

We called about a vehicle listed online. We were told it was at the Salsbury location, but we could come in to set up the vehicle transfer to get it from the other location. We showed up for our appointment and the sales person tried to sell us every other vehicle physically on their lot. They gave us the run around about getting the car we wanted to Swansboro. They wanted a $500 non refundable deposit which we were ready to pay. However, every time we asked a question, the sales person had to talk to their manager. Every single question was ran through the manager and turned a 30 minute appointment into an hour and a half. They treated us like idiots. After sitting there for way too long, they said they'd try to get that car for us but would have to contact Swansboro. They were supposed to call us for the deposit after they spoke with the other location. We never received any phone call and had to call 3 times about it only to finally tell them never mind, we will call the other location ourselves and give them the sale. Total incompetence at this location. They don't follow through and they can't answer any questions without going back to the manager's office to joke around and waste your time. read more

I just needed a diagnostic done to my car, they found the problem, now they said it's a SMALL evap leak, okay, they wanted to smoke test it to find out where it was, okay. But they didn't have the stuff to do the test so she left my ticket open and didn't charge the diagnostic fee that day and told me to come back another day, I went back yesterday, she said they were swamped(they just opened , it was 10:30 and there were 4 cars in front of me in queue) said she would give me a loaner car and that I would most likely be called later to come back. Fast forward it's 6 o'clock pm, they're closed and I received no call...I just needed a smoke test..had they just did it in the queue my car was in and called me I most likely would have had it fixed there too, but they kept pushing my car back behind every other car that came...I worked right across the street and watched it happen...my car never moved from the spot I parked it in...I hope they've smoked it before 10 today when I go to pick it up...I think 8 hours of having my car is long enough to have test it... read more

took truck to local garage for electrical repair. After 6 hours of troubleshooting they could not fix due to what they diagnosed as a control module malfunction. Hesitantly directed me to dealership without charging. Within the hour Stevensons diagnosed a bad multi function switch (local garage said that wasn't the issue). when new switch was installed it shorted out (they claim) the control module and charged me for both repairs which was 800.00. Kept my truck for 2 days and final invoice included brake flush (80.00) and air filter replacement that I never requested. Would not recommend these guys to my worst enemy. I have had the worst business experience with this dealership and Ron A. And would not recommend them nor would I buy a vehicle from them. After being constantly nagged about a monthly payment. And getting the monthly payment down and not the actual price of the car after repeatedly asking respectfully.They refused to notify me the amount of my trade in and kept pushing me to jump on making lower payments and making it a longer loan which means higher interest rates. They said they were willing to work out a deal for both parties but wouldn't budge like a stiff board even though it was an auction car. They also requested to pull my credit before I even knew the price. Which I'm glad I didn't. And he inappropriately acted rude after I refused to sign it. They also had an inappropriate response to my friend because he had asked a question that would benefit me. We purchased our vehicle from Stevenson, including the lifetime warranty. So when we recently took our vehicle into Stevenson Service for a warranty repair, we anticipated getting top-notch service, because Stevenson Chevrolet says they stand behind obtaining maximum customer satisfaction. While the service on the vehicle was completed satisfactorily, the lifetime warranty did not cover the diagnostic fee. My question was and still remains, without diagnosis, the vehicle could not be repaired under warranty, therefore defeating the purpose of the warranty. We spoke to multiple people and no one was willing to make this right, not even offering to split the cost with us on the non-covered diagnostic fee. We were completely disheartened that the dealership where we purchased our vehicle and completed our service would treat us in such a manner and with such short-sighted vision over a diagnostic fee. You may be home of the lifetime warranty, but you are not the home of the lifetime customer. We will never purchase or service a vehicle at Stevenson again, nor do we have anything nice to say about your dealership. Mr. John O.
