Before: Stucco Wall Damaged By Sprinklers

Communication from the beginning was smooth and Steve was quick to give me a quote over phone based on pictures I sent him. He sent out someone at my earliest availability and he did an excellent job! He did high quality work in a short amount of time. They even honored the quote they gave me over the phone, even though the damage was worse than the pics had shown. I had other companies quoting me at $400 or more, which was extremely high. Steve and his team were perfect from start to finish and I'd highly recommend them!

This review is long overdue. I've trusted Steve and his crew with every home project and renovation we've had since we moved into our home a year ago. He is honestly the best. He's not only knowledgeable, but he's a genuinely good person. I would even consider him a friend at this point. The work they do is phenomenal, and I'm a bit of a perfectionist so that is saying a lot. The prices are always fair and he will work with budgets. The work gets done quickly and scheduling is not a problem. So far I've had Steve renovate a guest bathroom, install a door, remove popcorn ceilings, remove walls, remove cabinets, increase closet size, smooth walls, paint, do electrical work and install tile. There's probably more I'm forgetting... He was great about all my requests (that may be a bit on the eclectic and nit picky side). He's even looked at things he doesn't do and helped me to avoid wasting money. For example, I thought I might have a mold problem on a window and he was able to tell me it was dry rot, not mold. Saved me a lot of money I'm sure. If you need something done, call Steve. Shout out to Oscar who is really cool and does great work! And all the rest of the crew too.

In January I hired Steve for drywall repair after the electrician I had hired to do some work left the drywall with holes. Steve is a master in his trade. Steve came so prepared, efficient and left the wall looking like nothing ever happened and ready to paint, and he is also very pleasant to work with. Thank you Steve, God bless your work. Ladies, you will not be disappointed, hire Steve.

5***+++! Excellent drywall work by Steve. He is very professional, personable and a super cool Navy Veteran to work with! We thought our request would be too small to make it worthwhile for any service provider to take but Steve, the owner himself performed the job. He was prompt in providing us a quote which was very reasonable and fair, especially considering the high quality, honest work and services he provided. We asked for quotes from other companies before deciding to go with Steve, the other companies were way over priced and some didn't want to paint or would charge extra for that! Steve patched, mud, textured and paint our drywall to a perfect finish - all in the same day. We can't even tell there was a cut out before and the finished work is better than we had hoped. We are so happy with Steve's workmanship and service and would most definitely hire him back for our future projects and would refer Steve's Ceilings and Drywall to our families, friends and Yelpers in our local communities. Plus, Steve smelled a gas leak in our laundry room upon his arrival (which was on the day he committed to) and at his suggestion, we called the Gas company who came and sure enough detected a couple of gas leaks! We are so thankful for Steve's expertise, experience and for helping us out!

My husband and I recently purchased a house in Upland that was in need of some repairs and major updating. We were living 400 miles away in Northern California, but able to work with him to get the ball rolling so we could get moved down and a moved in. Initially we had figured that Steve and his team would just help us out by removing the popcorn ceilIIngs throughout the house, but they completely transformed it by removing the popcorn adding retexture, installed overhead lighting in almost every room, replaced the outdated boxed lighting in our kitchen, they were able to paint, get floors installed, corrected an unanticipated ceiling leak, and wiring for speakers. We look forward to working with Steve and his crew in the future as we continue to work on multiple projects we have ahead of us. They have all been straightforward, trustworthy, and friendly.

Removed soffit, patched and painted from electrical installation and new lighting.

I called Steve and sent him a few pictures of our work. He started a couple days later and finished on time. I have to say, Steve's crew was clean, professional, friendly and very respectful of our home. Our biggest fear was the mess that would be made removing and then sanding. The first thing thing they did after going over the work and introducing themselves was to start tarping and taping everything off including our carpet and stairs. The work is excellent, I can't even see the patches and I know where they are. Even the paint matches perfectly. We also appreciate the little extras like some paint touch up they did for free!I highly recommend Steve and his crew.

Steve's crew did an amazing job! We had old school boxed lighting in our kitchen that we wanted to cover up and install recessed lights and some pendant lights Over our island. They were clean, quick, efficient, polite, and just great overall. They painted the area of the ceiling and matched the paint perfectly to the existing color. Would highly recommend and already passed the info along to a few clients and friends

Outstanding. The process is fast and easy, give Steve a call, get a quote and the work is done in 2 hours. I'm impressed with his work.

I needed a 3-foot by 3-foot hole repaired in my kitchen ceiling, created by a plumbing leak from the upstairs bathroom. They quoted me a very reasonable price. Their associate, Mike,  came out exactly at the time promised, on a Saturday morning even. The work was done very well and within a couple hours. I am very happy with the job.

How can you be contacted? The phone goes directly to the VM which is full and is not accepting messages!!

Hi. I’m just really busy right now. I had eye surgery last week and I’m a small contractor. Doing a lot of catching up! Text me at 909-268-9959 Thanks for letting me know about the voicemail, I’ll clear it out tonight.

Hi Steve, do you remove walls? If it's load bearing, would you be able to add a beam?

Yes. Most times this requires an engineering stamp.

These guys drove from the Corona/Riverside area to our home daily and showed up on time. We felt the pricing was fair for the size of our home, and the overall value for the work done was excellent. For only two painters, they were able to complete the work in the timeframe we were quoted, which was great. However, there were a few communication and cleanup issues that prevented this from being a 5-star experience. As a military family, we were grateful for the military discount provided by the project manager, Fermin. He was highly professional, communicative, and even included a few complimentary touch-ups, like refreshing our light fixtures and painting the side garage door.  Unfortunately, property care at the end of the project fell short. The crew removed our security camera bases to ensure an even paint job but didn't notify us where they were placed. We had to search our yard and eventually found them stashed inside our outdoor cat house and a flower bed. Additionally, the side garage door weatherstripping was removed for painting and left off. Even if the crew intentionally left it off to allow the paint to dry completely, failing to communicate that instruction to us, left us to figure it out and reinstall it ourselves.  The painting itself deserves praise, and the project manager provided our full paid receipt and warranty information as requested. However, better attention to detail regarding communication and final cleanup is needed. We were happy to support a business in the Inland Empire.

1-star for an attempted mid-job bait-and-switch…read more Revive and Refinish gave us a written quote for a fixed price, which we signed based on the stated scope. They arrived late, removed our doors, and sanded some of them. Then, after work had already started, the painter on site said the existing paint required more sanding than expected and that there was suddenly an issue with the original quote. At that point, no clear additional price was given on site, and no one from the company proactively contacted me. I had to call them myself, and only then was I told by Jack that the job would cost an additional $1,300. That is not how a professional company should operate. Their written scope already included prep and painting, and sanding/prep were discussed from the beginning. If the price was truly conditional, that should have been clearly disclosed before we signed. It was not. Instead, they started the job, removed our doors, and only raised a pricing issue after work was already underway. There was no written change order, no revised estimate, and no approval from us before the project stopped. Once we refused to proceed under those circumstances, they reinstalled everything and refunded our deposit, which was appropriate -- but that does not excuse how the job was handled. At least one door was reinstalled improperly, there was an exposed hinge cutout/mortise left on the door edge, and visible patch/filler material was left on the door jamb and trim near the latch/strike area. The doors were not returned in their original condition. This was not a clean reset. It wasted our time, disrupted our home, and forced us to restart the project with another company. We obtained multiple additional quotes, all lower than their original quote, and now have another company scheduled to complete the work this week for less than what Revive and Refinish originally quoted us. The actual painters themselves were polite and professional. The real issue was the estimate, the communication, and raising a pricing issue only after work had already begun. As reflected in my review history, I do not leave negative reviews lightly. Be careful. Update after Owner response: Your response actually reinforces my main concern. You stated you continued working based on an "understanding" that the additional work was approved. That is exactly the issue. If extra work is needed, the price should be clearly provided and explicitly approved before continuing -- not assumed mid-project. My husband only spoke to a painter and was never given a price, I had to text you to get that information. We specifically pointed out the prior paint job on the doors during the estimate because we were already concerned about it. Your representative looked at them, took photos, and had the opportunity to identify or at least flag any potential prep issues before work began. If this is a known possibility that can significantly affect the scope and price, then a qualified painter should be involved during the estimate. That is exactly why we scheduled estimates with multiple companies and set aside time for your company to properly evaluate the project before work began. That is the entire purpose of an estimate. Your response also highlights a deeper issue with your system: if conditions that can significantly affect scope and price are only "discovered" after work begins, then your estimates and contracts are clearly not as reliable as customers are led to believe. Without having a qualified painter involved during the estimate, this same mid-project price increase issue could easily happen again to future customers. Unexpected conditions can happen, but that does not excuse poor communication or proceeding without a properly documented change order. My husband was not given a clear additional price upfront before work continued, and that should never happen on a professionally managed project. No reasonable customer would be comfortable with a $1,300 mid-project price increase after already signing a contract -- especially when the work then leaves the home in worse condition than it was before. Future customers should absolutely be aware of that.
