There were also some poorly taped spots and bad uneven walls that he fixed. I had a little plumbing fiasco which resulted in my drywall having to be torn out in my bathroom ceiling. I contacted Steve for a quote and he got back to me quickly and the quote he gave me was fair and it was exactly what I paid in the end. Steve came in the morning with another guy (Chewy? I think?) and Chewy got to work right away. They were professional and polite and by the afternoon my bathroom was good as new! Chewy even patched some old spots where my paint got torn off by my shower rods getting stuck, and cleaned out an extremely dusty light fixture/vent. Great guys and great work. I called this company based on a referral to schedule an appointment for an estimate. I first reached their business voicemail which was too full to leave a message. I then found another number for them and called again. I reached the owner directly and he told me his schedule was too full for the next two days, but asked me to send him the pictures and address which I did. The following week after never hearing back from him, I sent a follow-up message. He never even had the courtesy to call me back or schedule an appointment for an estimate. It has been a few weeks and I promised Steve that I would write a review, not for any favors in any way just to support the quality of work his team performs. I had a ceiling project that I could not get done by myself, I called Steve and we arranged a time. The guy showed up with all the tools and equipment, taped and plastic sheeted the area and did a phenomenal job in a few hours. He cleaned up everything and left the home. The work was perfect, no seam lines, which was my biggest worry and textured just like new. If I ever have more drywall work, without a doubt these guys have earned my business. I had a leaky water heater at my business and the water damaged the ceiling down below. A friend of mine told me to call Steve and I am so glad I did. He was at my business literally within 15 minutes and he and Oscar came out the very next morning to do the repairs. I was blown away how fast he was able to get my repair job on his calendar. Good drywall guys from my experience are really tough to find. Everyone says they can do drywall but very few do it well. Steve and his crew are perfectionists and I can't even tell there was a repair made. They prepped the area incredibly well and left the place super clean. (Actually they prep like they are setting up a clean room in NASA!) They also color matched some venetian plaster that was damaged and saved me hundreds of dollars on having to have that redone. Called Steve's to get a quote for various drywall repairs. He came to my house 15 mins after my initial call to survey the work. He provided a fair price on the spot. They started the work the very next day. They showed up on time and were extremely polite and courteous. They used plastic sheets to contain the dust and overspray and cleaned up well behind themselves. The repairs came out better than I expected....and I'm tough to please. Steve and his guys came to cleanup the walls after we had to have the pipes redone. The place has been a mess and yet in a few hours they were able to make the chaos dissappear. Set an appointment for an estimate with Steve on the 6th, to be completed the following day. Steve came out and inspected for the estimate as scheduled, but never delivered on the estimate that day, or the following as promised. When I followed up with him 2 days later, he said it was sent and would send again. As of today, the 13th..I still haven't heard anything or received a quote to complete repairs. We've hired Steve 4 times and have always been pleased with his work. Not only has he been pleasant, fair to deal with and easy to communicate with, but he does quality work. In 2007 our realtor gave us his card when we needed to remove french doors to create a bedroom. She recommended him to us because her clients had been pleased with his work. After Steve performed his "magic" one evening, no one could tell a an opening of had ever been in that wall. In 2011 we remembered Steve's quality work and hired him to remove popcorn acoustic ceilings in a house we'd just purchased. We needed the job done quickly and Steve came through. His hand-troweled texture, even though competitively priced with blown-in ceilings, looks so much more upscale and custom. We also had Steve add a door between our master bedroom and bathroom where there was a ledge and high ceiling. Once again, he did a seamless job and you could never tell the door and wall weren't there originally. That same year we hired Steve to paint the interior of our rental house and were very pleased with his timeliness, price and quality of work. We just moved to another house and had Steve remove the popcorn ceilings and hand-trowel them. He also added can lights for us, dealt with difficult wallpaper as he painted the interior of the house and moved around some of our light and electrical outlets as we were updating bathrooms. We're so glad to have Steve to count on for these projects. We've always been so pleased with his work and thankful to have some one treat us fairly and be so pleasant to deal with. Each time we've been in a hurry to get the jobs done and he's always met our deadlines. Occasionally glitches or unexpected issues come up when updating houses and we've been able to count on him to fix problems even if it was our fault and not try to bilk us for more money unfairly. He often eats the cost himself, but if something is going to cost more, he discusses it with us and gets our approval in advance. read more

I called Steve, on Tuesday, for help on the numerous holes in my house (I have extremely destructive kids). I could tell he was pretty busy, and I worried that he wouldn't be able to fit me into his schedule. He asked me to text him pictures of the destruction and gave me an estimate over the phone. Lucky for me, he was able to send his associate, Mike, out to my house today (Friday). Mike was supposed to be here at 8:00 am but got here at 7:30! Mike did a walk through with me and I showed him the work I needed done. He got to work prepping and I asked him how much time he thought he would need to work on it. He estimated that he would be done by 2pm. While he was working I made small talk with him and he gave me some home improvement advice. He had to work around my two yappy dogs the whole day and was very patient and careful to not let them out. The whole job, including cleanup, was done at 2:00! Steve called me right after Mike left, to make sure I was happy with the work. I am very happy with the work! Mike was punctual, polite, did very neat work, and kept every work area clean. Steve's add was first in the newspaper. Then I located him on 'Yelp' and I was able to make a decision to call him for an estimate. Our house was re-piped and I needed him to do the ceilings and the dry-walling. He asked if he had been to our house in the past. I said no to him. Little did I know he had. So, that helped to make an impression on me and made me feel comfortable to allow him to do the job. He kept the atmosphere lively and fun - which made it hard for me to let go, since I felt that he was more a family member than just a contractor! He and his hard-working restoration team removed the plaster popcorn ceiling and texturized the ceilings. They patched the walls and cleaned up nicely after the work was done. I am totally happy with the whole process! He is a very nice person and I would recommend him and his team to anyone. We had done a full re pipe of our house, and had several large open walls that required dry wall repair which Steve did quickly; his work was very top notch and professional. Based on the reviews, I called Steve for an estimate to remove the acoustic ceiling in our den and remove a large beam from the ceiling. We were remodelling our kitchen, and we were on a very tight schedule to finish it. It was very important that Steve's portion of the work fit in with the cabinet installers' schedule. I was a little worried because he is sometimes hard to reach, no doubt because he's so busy; but when he says he'll be there, he'll be there and exactly on time. He fit us into his schedule and finished the job right on time. He and his crew removed the beam and the acoustic ceiling, retextured (hand textured) the den/kitchen ceiling, painted it, repaired some drywall damage and repaired some termite damage that was discovered. All work was beautifully done, and the price was very reasonable. Steve and his crew are very friendly and professional.
