Been driving past this place for YEARS. Recently craving eggplant parm and finally decided to try them out. I called in for a pick up, and it came with soup, pasta, and garlic rolls. Also decided to try their meatballs. My total was $24~ I'm not here to say it's the best eggplant parm I've ever had but it's hard to beat at that price. It's enough food for 2-3 meals, depending on your appetite. The soup is a sleeper hit. Idk if the meatballs are made in-house, I wasn't there when they made it. The pasta was ok. Honestly, service can be a bit smoother there is a gentleman that normally answers who isn't the nicest, but their food is always on point so we look past it. Also when asking for a side or "extra" make sure you specify because it's usually half a container of barley anything. We don't mind paying. Looked around the neighborhood for something to eat. Well pizza is never a bad choice and especially if it's Steve's Pizza. The prices are reasonable, the portions (pizza slices) are huge and the taste is always on point. The seating size is quite large for a store front restaurant. The young lady who took our order was very efficient and polite. We got there early so it's always nice to have a nice quiet meal and not have to wait long or be in a too noisy environment. Picked up some pizza this weekend! Ordered a large, light sauce, crunchy, green peppers, onions, pepperoni & black olives. I really liked the dough itself & the pepperoni was so good, it didn't feel at all greasy. I appreciated the generous serving of black olives!! I wish the green peppers and onions were cut a little thinner & I wish they were baked more into the pizza because they were really thick & thrown on top, kind of falling off the pizza. First time i went in today and Nicole took my order . I purchased an extra large pizza extra cheese on one half and Hawaiian on the other side . I brought it to my dad who is 96 and he LOVED it !! Service was excellent and Nicole was kind enough to open that for me since the box was huge and even tied my shoe lace .... I was stunned no one has ever done that for me !! Decided to order take out from here since it's conveniently located across my house. I figured since it's been here for years, that the quality of food can't be TOO bad. Thought wrong. We ordered the eggplant parm and a fettuccine alfredo. The alfredo was a soup of tasteless heavy cream with overcooked pasta. You didn't need much chewing for this one. Order Pizza in person at Steve's West Kendall. As I finish paying the person making the pizza tells the cashier ok is ready. I looked at the counter next to the oven and sure enough there was a pizza there but not the one I order. She tells the chef that can't be he just finished ordering and customer wants 1/2 pepperoni, the just smile and said will put pepperoni. I told the girl that I wasn't in a hurry to please tell the cook to make my pizza fresh thin crust that I didn't wanted a cold preheated pizza and they said fine. The girl tells me is going to be 20 minutes and again I told her I wasn't in a hurry. So I went to my car to get my phone and came right back and had a seat to wait for the pizza. Not even 10 minutes passed and this other guy comes to me with the pizza and fried calamari that I order. I asked him you guys made a new pie the way I ordered to where he looked kind of shy and said oh yes just the way you ordered it. I was a little doubtful but took my pizza and went home. Sure enough they lied and gave me the old stale pizza that was there. It's really a shame that this type of people work in a place that supposed to be a good and honest. Location: easy to find. It's in a Plaza among other facilities like a supermarket. Food: I've ordered the cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, the Stromboli, tiramisù. The pizza is good! This was our pizza spot for two reasons. It was close and it was decent! But lately we've noticed a big change in the pizza and not in a good way. Apparently the original pizza maker left 3 months ago and the owner is filling in and not doing a good job either. We order take out from here quite a bit. It's a little expensive as pizza goes but they make perfect NY style pizza and it's worth it when I'm too tired to cook and want something fast and easy. They have the most amazing salad dressing, I absolutely LOVE it. I could eat the salad every day. Also when you order a pasta dinner you can choose soup or salad and the soup they give you is HUGE. So I am always having to choose from a GIANT pretty good soup or a tiny AMAZING salad. One other thing, they make this MASSIVE jumbo pizza, it's super expensive but it is a lot of fun to order when we have lots of kids over because it is so comically gigantic. Growing up I always had Steve's Pizza down south and since moving to West Kendall I hadn't tried this location. We ordered delivery around 9:00 PM. 1 large margarita pizza with an order of 6 garlic rolls and a 2 liter soda. The girl who took our order was very polite, but the driver on the other hand was something else... He called us hysterical because he couldn't find our home. I mean I understand there is a lot of construction in the area, but it's not difficult to find. My husband helped get him to us. When he got to our house he called my husband to let us know he arrived and he expected us to walk out to his car to get out food. We asked him to please come to our front door (we live in a house not an apartment complex) The slices of tomato on the pizza were so thick we had to peel them off and the slices were huge and uneven. The garlic rolls were okay, pretty dry and rubbed with chunks of garlic and oil. We woke up the following day not feeling too kosher. I don't think I'll be ordering Steve's from this location again.
