We order take out from here quite a bit. It's a little expensive as pizza goes but they make perfect NY style pizza and it's worth it when I'm too tired to cook and want something fast and easy. They have the most amazing salad dressing, I absolutely LOVE it. I could eat the salad every day. Also when you order a pasta dinner you can choose soup or salad and the soup they give you is HUGE. So I am always having to choose from a GIANT pretty good soup or a tiny AMAZING salad. One other thing, they make this MASSIVE jumbo pizza, it's super expensive but it is a lot of fun to order when we have lots of kids over because it is so comically gigantic. Order Pizza in person at Steve's West Kendall. As I finish paying the person making the pizza tells the cashier ok is ready. I looked at the counter next to the oven and sure enough there was a pizza there but not the one I order. She tells the chef that can't be he just finished ordering and customer wants 1/2 pepperoni, the just smile and said will put pepperoni. I told the girl that I wasn't in a hurry to please tell the cook to make my pizza fresh thin crust that I didn't wanted a cold preheated pizza and they said fine. The girl tells me is going to be 20 minutes and again I told her I wasn't in a hurry. So I went to my car to get my phone and came right back and had a seat to wait for the pizza. Not even 10 minutes passed and this other guy comes to me with the pizza and fried calamari that I order. I asked him you guys made a new pie the way I ordered to where he looked kind of shy and said oh yes just the way you ordered it. I was a little doubtful but took my pizza and went home. Sure enough they lied and gave me the old stale pizza that was there. It's really a shame that this type of people work in a place that supposed to be a good and honest. I will never again spend my money at Steve's West Kendall and if you read this you should think twice before eating at this place. All this to make a lousy $30 dollars. As of at least 02/26/2021, this location is shuttered with a sign on the front saying it is closed until further notice. According to the sign, they are "self-quarantining" at home due to COVID. I saw no indication on Google Maps or even their Facebook page that this was the case; they simply weren't answering the phone, then I saw the sign when I went there in person. I appreciate their being responsible by quarantining and I wish whoever is sick a full and complete recovery. But it would have been helpful if they had posted online about this closure. Right now I don't see word of it anywhere, and I drove all the way from 8th St to Kendall Drive to try to place an order. read more

I love the pizza here I have it on numerous occasions, for lunch while at work, for dinner and for late night snack. The taste is just perfect I don't know if it's the dough they use or the mixture of cheese and tomato sauce but it is on point. Define toy recommend it over any other pizza restaurant nearby. Not sure if they still hold this pizza challenge they use to back in the days, where you eat a giant pizza under a certain amount of time and if you finish it in the time given your pizzas free and you get your picture up on their wall. Jumbo pizza or as I call it......Trunk size. This is one thing that stands out to me about this pizza place. They have a huge pizza you can order that is so big...it only fits in my trunk. Great for when you have get togethers or when you are just REALLY hungry! The pizza is delicious. The slices are so huge they don't even fit on a standard plate. Another worthy mention is their house salad dressing. It's like a creamy Italian dressing they make in house. Its got a little sweet and tangy taste to it. And you can also order some dressing to go. Reading through the reviews got me really excited to go here and decided to treat the family to a nice family dinner. We got there and the ambiance was great. Very clean and the tables have those red-checkered clothes-cute. Our waitress was very nice and was very helpful. We ordered the Mozzarella Sticks to start and they were yummy and right for the price. We decided to go for the Pizza- though they're dinner options were tempting. We ordered 1/2 Hawaiian and the other 1/2 Margarita. The crust was just right and their red sauce was delish! It was good quality pizza and I didn't get that oh-godness-i'm-so-full-can't-get-out-of-my-seat feeling after so I was pretty happy. We finished the pie and were very happy customers. This is the 2nd time I've been to this location. It's been years but it is still as good as I recall. The staff is friendly and attentive, the service was quick and we were in and out in about a 1/2 hr. I liked the garlic rolls but they were not great. The consistency and texture of the roll itself was good quality but I did not like the after taste of pure garlic and oil in my mouth. (This is a preference some ppl love this) The seasoning was good. The pizza itself was delicious. The cheese had the perfect consistency and texture and the pizza was cooked just right. While really greasy (because of the cheesy deliciousness) it still had great flavor. Pepperoni was really good too. Dress code: casual atmosphere: friendly family oriented with 3 flat screens for viewing pleasure. Decor: outdated and needs an upgrade. I must confess I'm not a pizza lover. Call me crazy, but I'm not. However, I was in the area killing time before an appointment, and the Free WiFi sign outside this joint pushed me to get in. The place was empty, but then again I was not there for the pizza but for the Free WIFI. Did I mention I'm not a pizza lover? Walked to the counter and saw a large variety of pizza options. Since I'm into veggies I decided to order 2 slices of Margherita.... Oh boy!!! Well, one slice can feed a family of three... no kidding. Simply humongous... At that point I decided to enjoy the experience. No utensils for this task. The first bite made me understand why Americans salivate so much when they think and talk about pizzas. Suffice to say, I didn't care about the line of delicious tomato sauce dripping from the corner of my lips. All the Sundays etiquette classes went right down the drain... I tried to connect my Kindle Fire through their WiFi: no such luck. One of the guys told me to keep trying, because it was working. Hmmm... Really? The good: I am a fan of thin pizza, main reason why I like this place. They have amazing lunch specials. One HUGE slice of pizza, plus soda and side salad for about $6. During the day, it is usually always empty, Food doesn't take long to come out. garlic rolls are good too. They deliver. The meh: It's in a shopping center, the place doesn't look very nice and could use a deep clean and fresh paint---- very outdated. It usually smells like they JUST cleaned (product scent), which I am not a fan of. I like clean places, but I don't like it to smell like Clorox/other cleaning products. TV is always on, loud, and usually playing news. I always ask to change the channel or turn off the tv if I am the only one in restaurant as I hate watching news, specially while eating. Many of the people in this area don't know good pizza for the same reason that I don't know good Latin food. Me, being of Italian decent, wasn't overly impressed. Don't get me wrong, it was good and I'd go again, I just don't think the place warrants all of the 4/5 star reviews it's getting from the locals (Miamians). I can get a better pie down the street at Vesuvio's. My main disappointment was the garlic rolls. They were just small, hard rolls with garlic on top. Good garlic rolls are dense and greasy not over crispy and dry in the middle. The service was awesome though and I would return again to try something new. It was good, just not amazing. read more

I used to live by Biscayne and love to go to the original after a crazy night in South Beach. I can say the DNA it's in this one too. I arrived today and the sign said "Sorry we're closed" when they were obviously open so that was their first mistake. I go in and there's two servers sitting at one of the tables talking and laughing very loudly; because of this our server didn't notice we were ready to order. She finally takes our order our food comes out on time and it was delicious. However, she doesn't pay any more attention to us until the manager notices I'm trying to get her attention and tells her to go over to us. The Pizza is decent but the one down south is better the service honestly is the same which is mediocre at best here you have stuck up ass Kendall employees and down there u have some ghetto ass Perrine employees, but whatever that's not important I don't come here for service I come here for Pizza. The Pizza at Steve's West tends to be a bit dry the one down south isn't. Eating inside is terrible it's one big room there's no separation, just an awful set up inside. So this place couldn't possibly be better.. i love the atmosphere and the way everyone greets you as soon as you walk into the door. the service was great the waitress we had talked to us as if we were old friends. and may i add was very efficient. it seemed very mom and pop type place because the waitresses in the place were all having a great conversation with their boss and all the staff seemed to get along great. as for the pizza wow its the closest thing to NY pizza here in Miami. I guess the only missing ingredient was the NY water. they have the best salad dressing I've tasted EVER. At our house we have Steve Sundays because whenever breaking bad, dexter, homeland or Ray Donovan are on we park our butts on the couch with no plans on getting up.
