I contacted the builder concerned who reassured me it was with photos and a video. He then reassessed the situation and determined it was ok then said he would be "right back". He never returned that day. It being day 2 with gas for hot water, i contacted another plumber. I texted him and figured he didn't want the work. He called back and said he still wanted to complete the work, but said he had 'emegencies' that day and forgot to contact me. I said that's fine but i need a fixed bid. He said he could provide an estimate but "didn't know what he was going to find" in the ground. Which is not a "fixed" bid. The new plumber showed up the next assessed the situation and determined that digging was not required and gave me a firm cost. They had my gas back on by the afternoon. Meanwhile, I told Jerry i would pay for the work completed as I felt bad. He showed up to my house without notice and demanded payment then as 'he had to be somewhere'. As I was out i told him i could leave him a check when i got back but couldn't magically appear at that moment. I ended paying Jerry for the 'work' he completed. A nice fellow, but not very focused on the customer's situation. He recommended unnecessary work ( a bunch of needless trenching) and needless anxiety (by suggesting my gas line was not up to code and the house may 'blow up'). And i spent $460 on nothing but grief and a 2 day delay. Wouldn't recommend. Find someone else.

Let me start off by saying if I could give this company zero stars, I would in a heartbeat. I have…read morenever been so disappointed. Our water line was leaking. We were informed by the city that we had a pretty major leak - 18 gallons an hour. They referred us to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of NWA. Benjamin Franklin was punctual, which I appreciated. That is about the only positive thing I can say. After the leak was found by Trenchless Leak detection, a tech from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing came out to fix the problem. They proceeded to quote me $1693.00 to replace the part and provide labor. After expressing my concern at the price, the tech told me it was $280.00 for parts alone. I asked him if this was the best he could do. His response was yes. My husband also spoke with him to ensure that it was indeed an ok deal. I was naive enough to think that honesty and integrity was going to be used in this situation. Here are the notes from the invoice. Customer has a water leak at the meter nut. Tech called Bentonville utilities and had a meter tech meet us on site to verify that the issue is the homeowners. Tech also received city supplied washers for the union nut on end of meter loop. City states that they are not responsible for this issue. Task description Price and total: RL5-11 spot repair with DEPTH OF LESS THAN 2FT 1.00 $1,693.00 The hole was the size of a bread box. This took less than one hour to repair. After the fix, they found that there was ANOTHER leak in the yard. They then said it would be ANOTHER 1600.00 dollars! I would have to have the leak detection agency come back out as well in order to find where in the yard the leak might be. Absolutely not. I called around. Luckily, DPH Plumbing was able to come out a few days later. They said it would be less than 800 dollars and would give us a more precise number when the work was finished. DPH TUNNELED under my sidewalk in order to fix the issue. Our builder had used very poor tubing. They didn't just patch the problem. DPH replaced the entire hose. It took them around 3 hours. The total that DPH charged? $507.17. That's less than a third of the price for 3 times the labor. If you use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, please, please, please, get a second opinion. They took advantage of my naivete, and I certainly paid for it. I would hate for anyone else to have to deal with this issue when it could be avoided.

I had a water leak in my main water line from the meter to the house. House is 19 years old and we…read moreagreed that it would probably be best to replace the line. They arrived on time and started digging at the meter towards our house, they found the leak about 8 feet out. The line was current PEX tube and had a large rock under it and due to large trucks driving on it had pierced the tube. He said everything looked good and the tube was in good shape, recommended replacement of that small section and not the entire line. This saved us thousands of dollars. It was replaced, tested and no leaks! I have used JOCO a couple of times and been very happy but this is integrity of the highest. You get what you pay for and sometimes even more.
