We came in to buy out our current lease with our own financing already secured through PenFed Credit Union and let the dealership know in advance that we'd be bringing a certified check to close the deal. Rather than complete a straightforward transaction, our sales contact told us Stevinson Lexus of Frederick "does not work with PenFed," asked what rate we had, and offered to reroute our financing through one of their partner banks at a matching rate. That's a dealer reserve grab, not customer service. There is no legal or operational reason a dealer cannot accept a certified check from any bank for a lease buyout. We are from out of state and had a mechanical issue with our RX350 while visiting the area. We also had a deadline to get home. Noe found the problem, got us a loaner for overnight, and had us back on the road the following day. We still have to have more work done once we get home, but given the time crunch, he did what was necessary to get us back home safely. Communication was great, and he also provided documentation that will show our local mechanic what he found. We had a previous sales experience with this dealership that was less than satisfactory so were a little hesitant to return, but we really appreciated the service department here. read more

Their Lexus Brand, especially Service, is diluted now. Damn. I was even challenged that I didn't have my email in-hand coupon, for a service discount they EMAILED me! Man.... I have been trying to get a hold of anyone in service for over a week! First sales- little to no response and don't care about you until it's time to buy. We were on a wait list for a GX550 and wanted to just sit in one before buying. Couldn't get a response from sales when we asked for that but man when you wanted to buy they called right back. NOT TO MENTION sales told us to contact them weekly and if we didn't they would forget about us! So we have to do ALL the work to buy a 90k car and you just sit there with no customer experience and take a commission? So... we went out of state and found a dealer. Bought one there instead. So now we have a GX and want to set up some service along with have some questions on the new car. Service doesn't call back. Nobody knows who to transfer me to. I purchased a Lexus LX 600 from this dealership. I paid cash for the vehicle. This was 4 months ago. Trying to get someone to call you back is nearly impossible. I sold the vehicle and tried to cancel my warranty. I left over 10 messages without one call back. I had my salespersons cell number. Called him. He said management was so bad he quit and took another job. Do not buy a car from this dealership absolutely horrible experience. They will only call you if they can make money on you. Here's an copy of an email I sent to the manager after my experience. He never got back to me: Everything was fine, but could have been a lot better. I flew out from Minnesota to buy the car (a Lexus ES 300h with specific trim I wanted and couldn't get them to ship it to MN for me). I was very communicative with Jodi, our salesperson. I had hoped that a little more of the paperwork and prep for the car would be ready ahead of time, given that there was a full week of notice between when I sent in a $500 deposit to when I flew in. I did a lot of sitting around and waiting at the dealership. And even then, I had to re-sign documents a few days later via docusign because the taxes weren't calculated correctly. I know this was a unique situation, but again - there was plenty of time to prepare. Besides the paperwork there was a small ding in the car that apparently needed to be fixed. While I'm glad that it was addressed and fixed and the car looked great - this was being done while I was there (again, a week after I let them know I was coming and had given them my flight info). I thought the car was a fair enough deal and honestly didn't feel like negotiating and haggling the price - but for all the effort I've put into buying it (flying out, transporting the car on my own dime back home to MN, etc), I didn't feel like the team there was particularly accommodating or went above and beyond. I wasn't offered any sort of further discount, service, add-on, etc that would have made the purchase unique or great. Add to all of the above the frustration with the technology of the new car - which is a whole different issue of simple things not working correctly. Technology aside - since that obviously isn't the team's fault - I also had to follow-up repeatedly to get back the $500 deposit we put down to secure the car from out of town (for some reason it couldn't just be applied to the purchase/downpayment price). I sent the above review/info to the manager after a, "Please let me know if there was anything we could do better" email follow-up from the manager, and the only thing I heard back from him was that my $500 deposit was finally on the way. Nothing to say about the actual experience or the rest of my email. Glad I'll never have to fly out and buy from them again, and I hope others in the area think twice before using this dealership. read more

I walked into the dealership for the first time but I was ready to buy based on months of research. The only question was which trim level for the Lexus. I was greeted by a rather creepy fellow who only spoke to my very young daughter when we entered the front doors. It was strange that he wouldn't even acknowledge me. He took us to a salesperson who focused solely on her computer screen and, again, didn't acknowledge us. Not even a brief greeting to say she would be right with us. After a minute we left and while outside I asked another person who seemed to be a salesman if he could point me towards a specific model. He slowed his walking briefly, pointed towards a vehicle that we were next to, and said "same thing". He then walked away. I went to the vehicle he pointed to but it was locked. Instead of being disrespected a 4th time, we left. It was without a doubt the most rude and dismissive interaction I've ever had a car dealership. One ...maybe two.....lousy meetings I could live with but the third was the final straw. It's been several days but I still wonder if it was my appearance or something else; I just don't know. I kind of think that since they sell luxury vehicles that that somehow makes them elite. Clearly, it does not. None of the 3 people I met were anything special. Actually, far from it in both appearance and attitude Turned me off to the entire brand so I went back to my second choice and will be working with them. I can't say I bought a vehicle the same day but it's "in transit" so hopefully early December. Unfortunately, this dealership only allows new vehicles to be financed through them. When we told them we had secured financing independent of them (and over two points lower) they refused to sell us a vehicle. Speaking directly with the finance manager, he said this is "their policy." Highly recommend shopping somewhere else for a Lexus. read more

I bought a car from Stevinson two weeks ago. I love my car. The problem is that the windshield needs to be replaced. I was told someone would be in touch with me in a couple of days to arrange this. No one has called. I have called now 8 times and had to leave messages, none of them have been returned. I am at my wits end. They want to take your money for certain but are terrible at follow through on their promises. we are in the market for a plug-in hybrid and the 2025 NX 450 H looked to be the best one on the market! We drove out to the dealership and met up with Jodi Wersen. she was able to answer all our questions and concerns as we were new to the plug-in hybrid cars she was able to locate one that was in transit and would be in in a couple of weeks. we just took possession of the car on Saturday and love it! hats off to everybody at Stevenson Lexus, but especially Jodi. She made the buying enjoyable. The tech-support was spot on, and the gentleman explained every feature quite thoroughly and the finance department handled all our paperwork without any issues. They set me up with a rookie salesman, and he took forever to get the keys to an RX I wanted to look at, and after waiting for quite a long time he just came back and said it was in maintenance. My review is for Service Department, not Car Sales. Have used them for 10+ years to service multiple Lexus vehicles. They consistently do a great job on my older, high mileage vehicles. Have outlasted many Service Writers and Service Management, Samatha handles all of my repair work and she's the absolute best I've ever worked with. For comparison, had experiences with Kuni Lexus and Lexus of Charleston in past 12 months. Don't recommend either, due in large part because of their Service Writers - and because I'm spoiled working with Samantha. Keep up the great work! read more

Seems they aren't really in the business of luxury auto sales service. I was really disappointed and if Kuni had the car I wanted, I wouldn't have had to go here in the first place. They rolled out the beige carpet for us and we never really felt appreciated...the F&I guy is downright abrasive with his approach and when we weren't hip to his "salesmanship" he turned ice cold with one word answers and zero effort. I waited for the only finance guy, who titled himself as finance director for one hour an half, while I believed to be the only buyer in the store. First they disagreed about the advertised price of the vehicle, then they insisted to change $499(dealer handling). I had to show them that it was included in the price as advertised. After fixing that, they seemed very disinterested in the deal and treated me less than professionally. I was left to wait for this invisible finance guy for over 90 minuets. There were 5-6 sales people and a sales manager looking outward in a hope to see another buyer. I decided to leave because, I didn't feel welcome and decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

I went in a few weeks ago, my wife wanted to trade in her Mach-E. The saleswoman was super nice and I test drove the car we wanted. We went into her office and she took my info (never ran credit) then left and came back with some initial numbers on the car. I said they were a little higher then I wanted so she asked what I was looking for on monthly payments, I told her and she says ok I'll be right back. A few minutes later she comes back and says "ok we will let you know" then proceeds to walk me out. I was so confused. Me and my wife get new cars ever 2 years and I've never been treated like that. Of course no one called but then later that week I got an email from the sales manager asking how the experience was and I told him it wasn't good at all. A week later no response. Then the GM emails me and asks the same thing how the experience was, I responded and said it was terrible especially since no one seemed to care. It's now been almost a month and no response. I've never been treated like that and will never put up with it again from this place. read more
