Antipasto salad? I take my food very serious. As I am also in the food business, I make it my responsibility to protect others from food borne illness. "First in first out" should be a priority and I can not stand when a problem as simple as rotten lettuce could have been avoided just by following this procedure. This used to be my go to and now I am scarred for life. The smell when I opened the container was enough but I looked under the meats and cheese and found brown slimy lettuce. What a way to tell a customer to never spend their money there again. I'm insulted that I spent my money here and that they didn't even care enough to make sure that they gave me fresh food. Furst time and only time I stopped at Stevo. Was tired of Subways subs. Order a sub. The lady said she would bring my food when it was done. There was one other customer there. Lady yelled my name and said food is ready. I had to go get my food. As my mouth as watering up. Smells great. Thinking to myself...this is going to be agreat change up. Chicken was rubbery. OMG. Would have given a 5 if it was pizza only... the couple times we ordered others things, it was a bit touch and go. If your just getting pizza, do it! The pizza was delicious. Got the meat both times and it was wonderful. If your looking for pepperoni rolls or fires, not your spot. read more

Normally a place we get food from with no problems until last night ordered pizza and greek fries at 6:39 was going to pick up but she tells me there's a car show going on and no where to park. So I tell her ok deliver that was an hour wait food comes we eat the pizza then go to open the Greek fries and its not Greek fries. It's plain fries with ketchup. Call them back put on hold for almost 7 minutes tell them about the,fries ANOTHER HOUR before they bring the fries get the fries at 8:50 ish and he has nerve to ask for the plain fries back AFTER THEY SCREWED UP. Great Lunch spot. I stop here once in a while when I am in Erie for work. In and out within minutes and they have a pretty solid deep dish pizza. Their sauce tends to be a little acidic. read more

I had to upgrade my original ranking of Stevo's after having their deep dish and stuffed pizza. In three years of living in Erie I couldn't find pizza that was close to what they make in my hometown of Chicago. Stevo's deep dish can hang with pizza places in the city of Chi and I've eaten a lot of pizza on while on this earth. Their stuffed crust is worth trying as well. Stevos has been a very good pizza place in the past. Recently their quality and service are terrible. As of today they are charging 4.50 for a delivery order. When the delivery driver arrived he smelled like he just finished a cigarette. When I opened the pizza box all of the cheese had slid off of the pizza and was in the corner of the box. I called the store I had ordered from and was told they sent the order to the store on state street and they would most likely give me a credit and that she would call over there and the store on state street would call me within 5 minutes. I called the store back after 15 minutes. And the woman I spoke to said they tried to call the number I gave them multiple times. This was a lie. I had not received a call or missed a call on my phone. I told the woman what was wrong with the pizza and her exact words were "oh that's probably just from sliding around in the car". She said she could replace it if I hadn't touched the old one. This was over half an hour after we received the order my family had already reassembled a couple of slices and eaten them. She became rude and said she won't do anything because a couple of slices were gone. This experience has ruined my opinion of stevos. The staff at the peninsula store was friendly if not helpful. The manager at the State street store has ensured I will never order from either store again. With the amount of money I spent on my order to have it arrive with all of the cheese bunched up in one corner of the box and to be treated so disrespectfully is un-acceptable. read more

Everything besides the slices are made to order. The staff takes much pride preparing your food. Everything on the menu is second to none. Pizza, calzones, pizza type dishes,subs etc. We don't make it here as much as we once did and we miss coming here weekly if not more. Some items are huge, with enough left over for dinner or next days lunch. Everything is fresh. No bad things to say this is a top notch pizza and sub shop, great pizza in my Erie top 3. Steve-O's is excellent pizza. NY Style thin crust with pepperoni is our favorite. Great crust. Every time we come to Erie, Steve-O's is on the list of places we need to eat. I only dropped one star because they really need to get with the times and offer free WiFi to customers since they're in a dead zone for wireless. Also, they need to fix some of the tables that are broken. But the pizza is hands down the best for hundreds of miles around. read more

Ordered some food for the family tonight. We have ordered from Stevo's in the past, and not been disappointed; however, tonight was much different. First of all, when I called to place my order (and every other time I've ever called there to place an order) I got the same ditzy girl answering the phone. I have to repeat my address 3-4 times - NOT an exaggeration - before she gets it right. This, I can see: the street we live on can sometimes be misunderstood as another street, especially over the phone. A minor pain, but forgivable. And no, she did not give me an ETA or a total after I placed my order; she just told me to "have a nice day" and hung up. (Weird!) An hour and 15 minutes went by from the time I placed my order until my boyfriend said "Hey, where's that food?" I waited another 15 minutes for good measure. Then, I called, and got the same ditzy girl (well, she sounded the same, anyway). I told her that I had placed an order over an hour ago and was wondering where the food was. She said "oh, hang on a minute...*shuffle shuffle shuffle papers*...Hold for me please...*shuffle shuffle* Oh yeah here it is! This is out for delivery so he should be there any time now!" I said okay, mentally making a note to call again in 10 minutes if it didn't arrive. (Stevos is about 3 miles from my house, tops.) The food did arrive about 10 minutes after I called. COLD. The pizza was cold, the gyros were cold, and the Greek fries, while not exactly cold, could not be classified as warm either. And now, service issues aside: The food sucks. Pizza was a huge bummer; in addition to being cold, the cheese wasn't melted, they use CANNED mushrooms (my pet peeve), and there was no real flavor. Boyfriend liked the Greek Fries, but then again, he was hungry...a raw cabbage would have looked good to him at that point. But the gyros were the real insult. Gyros are typically made with tzatziki sauce. It's what really *makes* the sandwich. Our gyros arrived with sour cream instead of the cucumber sauce; brown-tinged shredded iceberg; and, of course, they were cold. My friends were extremely disappointed. They've had gyros from Stevo's before, and they have never been without the tzatziki sauce. That was just...lazy. If you're out of something, for God's sake, just SAY so!! You're not going to hurt our feelings, I promise! We'll order something else and get over it, just like anyone else would. But, Stevo's needn't worry about coupons or "making it right", since we won't be ordering from them again. Thanks, but no thanks! Next contestant please! read more

In town visiting and my sister ordered the pepperoni and the chicken ranch. Enjoyed both of them. Really liked the chunky marinara on the pepperoni pizza. The ranch sauce on the chicken pizza was good too The crust is awesome. Perfectly chewy. read more

As a local business nearby, we like to order food as a company from Stevo's since they deliver. But after today, not worth it. We submitted an online order at 10:58 am and was given confirmation that it would be delivered at 11:59 am. At 12:10, we called to see where our food was and was told that the driver was leaving in a "couple" minutes and would be there soon. At 12:50 our food arrived. Fries were cold, pizza was cold, and they "forgot" the sub. After calling to see what happened, the woman said, "sorry, we are so busy, but we have the driver coming back to deliver the sub." Fine, but they did not do anything to fix the cold food or even offer to refund the sub or give us anything for free. Two hours to wait for food, that was cold. Yeah, we said we won't be ordering there ever again, especially when I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the driver to return with my sub. read more

Do not order from here I got ripped off. I order delivery and they sent the wrong food I paid the driver then noticed it was the wrong order. I told the delivery driver that it was wrong and he said to call the resturant and he would wait. While I called the driver took off and the guy on the phone said he would bring me the right order. The order never did end up showing up so I called the next day and talk to the owner and the only option he gave me was to dig the stuff that they messed up on out of the trash. I could not believe how rude and poor the customer care from them is. Dont recommend the headache and lake off service from this resturant. Will not order from again read more
