What a amazing experience and wonderful person who helped us. 4th of July and the Jetski wouldn't start, went there on the 5th and they were closed but a gentleman who works there was there to pick up some tools, he didn't have to help us out, but this kind and friendly soul did, going out of his way to get it working. Staying at Donner Lake to spend time with family this weekend. Noticed bilge pump running intermittently even when boat was not running. Found water leaking around water pump. Person working at Donner Boat Ramp recommended Stewart Marine Services. Called on a Saturday expecting no answer or no, we don't services boats on Saturday. To my surprise, a person answered and told me to come by. Upon arrival, Jessie immediately went to work and within 5 minutes, confirmed it may be the water pump or hose. Further work showed a cracked Water Pump Housing, which they had in stock. 1.5 hours later, replacement was complete. We were able to get back on the lake the rest of the afternoon thanks to Jessie! We were vacationing at Lake Tahoe, when our boat refused to go in any direction but reverse. We had the boat towed to Obexer's (300.00 for a two mile tow) and Obexer's refused to look at our boat, saying they had a three week wait. We found Stewart's through Yelp and their excellent reviews. My husband spoke with Lyndsey initially (she was very pleasant and kind) and then spoke with Alex. After asking Mike a battery of questions relating to our boat and the issue, Alex told Mike to bring it in, and gave him the best and worst case scenario. We took the boat in on a Monday, and an hour later we got a call saying that they had detected the problem, and the boat was ready to go! It turned out it was a cotter pin which had been put in wrong by the person who last serviced our boat. Issac (another mechanic) explained exactly what had happened, and showed us what was going on with our outdrive sensor as well. The bill was MORE than fair! We were back on the lake the same day, and our boat ran perfectly. I can't recommend Stewart's enough. They are the epitome of integrity, kindness, and competence. read more

I purchased a used boat in June of this year and it immediately had problems starting. I took it to Stewart's and they evaluated it for me and determined it was the water pump. I had a vacation planned using the boat and they were able to get it fixed in a day and get it back to me. Everyone there is kind and courteous and most of all, trustworthy. I was about to take my boat to Reno (from Truckee) for repair as I had done in the past, and thought I'd check for a local shop. I found Stewart's Marine and took my boat there for R & R lower unit impeller and also a shifting problem. Jay et al did the impeller and removed corrosion which was inhibiting shift mechanism in outdrive--no new parts required there! Charges were fair and reasonable, IMHO. Staff personable and knowledgeable. I will not drag my boat to Reno anymore. read more

Stewart's has done an amazing job on my Four Winns boat for the last 5 years. Once, when it would not start (after the winter and first launch of the season), they sent a mechanic all of the way to Donner Lake and got it started----this was totally above all expectations. They installed a bimini perfectly, and also got me a free new battery replacement when the initial one only lasted a season. A mechanical issue was also addressed, and the charge was so small that I tipped the mechanic. Their annual services are remarkably thorough. Lindsay and the whole staff are the best that I have seen. The Four Winns dealer in the Bay Area went out of business (perhaps from poor customer service). I am hoping that Stewart's Marine Service is around forever. read more

I have had my Cobalt 226 serviced and stored over the winter by Stewar's for the past few years. I previously had the boat serviced and stored with a well known facility in Sacramento but I was encountering service problems, delays, and location logistics. I was referred to Steward's and that has changed everything. When they say they will take care of a service issue, it is done and done correctly. They are always very pleasant and responsive to my calls (I live in Santa Barbara). Their shop rate and pick up/delivery of the boat charge is most reasonable. I only wish that I had found Lindsay at Stewart's years ago. I'm into easy now, and they are the best at making things easy for me and my family. They are the Best! read more

These guys were great! I launched my boat at Tahoe for the beginning of the season and I was worried that there might be trouble as the boat didn't see service last year. Well it fired right up and I started back to the house. Alarm bells came on as it overheated very quickly. We forgot boating 101 - check for water flow at the beginning of each season BEFORE heading out. It could have easily meant a cracked block or manifolds. Finding service at Tahoe in the beginning of the summer is almost impossible, but my brother suggested Stewart's. I called (and begged) and they agreed to take my boat the next day. With quick work and a few parts (water pump problems) they had me back up and running in a few days. My vacation was saved! Everybody from the receptionist to the mechanic were a pleasure to deal with and couldn't have been more professional. I now have a favorite boat shop at the lake! read more

I have a 2010 MB Sports 21' v-drive boat. I use Stuart and his crew for any complex maintenance work (Stuart is PCM certified) even though I dry-dock my boat in Incline Village. The work is always done right and on time and the billing is clear and painless. I need to have my trailer lifted (getting stuck on the ramp due to low water) so will see if he can help this spring. read more
