I was compelled to shop at an auto parts store with over a 4 star rating on both Google and Yelp. Usually people are not excited about or have great experiences when it comes to car repair. Sooooo I headed into AutoZone to see if they lived up to the ratings hype. I see where they score points. Service is prompt and knowledgeable. They double checked to make sure the application was correct so I left with what I asked for. Fantastic customer service! Bae and I came to purchase an air intake system since we were out of state for our anniversary, and they don't sell this product in California; bummer! There was only one box left that had been previously opened. We had asked if we can ensure that the product wasn't damaged by opening the box and checking inside. The front desk staff didn't mind, in fact, they even provided a 20% discount for an open box. Yay! I love when we come across amazing service. When paying for a product in another state, it can sometimes be a challenge. I am happy that we came across phenomenal service, and Bae was able to walk away a happy customer! I can't vouch for all the staff at all locations. But recently I discovered I had a burned-out taillight. Following the lead of another yelper I pulled into the closest automotive parts store. Went inside and told the gentleman the counter I had a tail light out and didn't know which bulb to pull. and He offered to come out and see which one it was, removed it, came back in the store, walked down the aisle and pulled the correct bulb I needed. What a story. We recently returned from vacation and my car was stored in our garage. When I started it up the air was terrible. Like something died. I checked the entire car for something and nadda... I had the car washed. Still smelled. So I decided to change the cabin air filter. Went to Autozone and Tony the manager helped me find the correct filter and said he would show me how to install. (that is why I love Autozone) We went out to my car, he removed the in cabin filter and there was a mouse nest !!!! One baby was still alive. I was horrified. Tony's hands could not get into get the nest out so he had Dillon come out with a pair of needle nose to take them out. I could have never done this with Autozone and Tony and Dillon. My wife sat in her car for 45 minutes or more with the hood up. She is in her late 60's And do you think any would to stop or come over to help? This AutoZone is great they do really good service and if you need them to check out something like a check engine light or a faulty switch they're pretty good about checking fuses and helping with General basic help that you may not need a mechanic or auto repair shop for their inventory is pretty good there store itself is pretty cramped feels like there isn't a whole lot of room but they're trying to jam in a lot of inventory. I found some Flowmasters and I purchased those things are pretty awesome and they make my truck sound badass. The price was fairly competitive to the internet and I could get it that same day - obviously - take it out of the store so that was a bonus and went over and got them installed and the truck sounds awesome the service at Auto Zone is pretty good. read more

He took a look at out battery and made sure the one we found online was the perfect fit. After he recommended the new battery Nathan double checked to make sure it would work for us! I love Autozone. I prefer them over O'reilly because Autozone is always well lit, organized, and clean. The only thing I don't like is I think the staff are a little too helpful. Let me explain. I'm a man. I may not be a master mechanic or anything but I get a lot of satisfaction out of changing my oil and simple things like that. When I walk into Auto Zone I know where to go and what to get but every time I do, someone asks me if I need help or if I need help looking up my car in the parts manual. I hate that. I'm not sure where the other reviewer gets off suggesting you go across the street. I wonder if you're a competitor. Since I moved into the area this has been my go-to parts store. I find their selection excellent and their staff helpful and friendly. I've got great advice on wiper blades, saving me a good chunk of change. Helpful advice on my car battery, which died and before they sold me a new one ran a bunch of tests on it and my car; no charge. Battery was dead. We replaced it with them and they confirmed again my alternator was not the problem. A few years later, car runs well. I use their loyalty card. For every $20 spend you get 1 point. When you get 4 or 5 points you get $20 free to spend their. Works out to be 20% off. Pretty decent. When I needed new rotors and pads. Parts guy there sells me their house brand, which I've had no issues with. Get this, life time replacements when they wear out. Never hurt of such a thing. He tells me bring your worn out pads and rotors in and we'll give you free replacements for life. Insane. Sold me. My only gripe is walmart kills them on Rotella T6 oil so I have to buy it elsewhere. Store, staff and presentation are great. And I do cross shop them and have bought from those guys across the street. Oddly I've felt like just a number there. read more

I have bought auto parts from other parts stores, but I have never had an experience like the one I had here. The staff was wonderful. Their customer service skills were great. They tested my battery for me, and I had a bad battery. The gentleman ( Robert) replaced the battery for me. My car was idling a little rough after I started it up. He took the time to check the check engine code, and consulted the manager who suggested I drive around the block before I bought anything to fix it. That worked the trick. These guys made my day. They were friendly, and helpful. I will return here again. They really made my day. read more

I am blown away by the awesome customer service I got at this Autozone this morning. I went to O'Reilly's first and they were so rude and not willing to help this disabled senior so I went to Autozone and had four reps helping me. They were all so pleasant and fun. They found the gas cap lock I needed and went out of their way to show me how it worked. It was a dollar cheaper than O Reilly's too. This Autozone has exceptional employees and should be commended! I went in today with my boyfriend's car because the check engine light was on, and Corey helped me with everything I needed from checking the code, seeing what part I needed, looking up the part on their computers, but also suggesting I check out this website to save about $70 by ordering it myself. Then he also recommended I check the oil (which he helped me with also) since the part that the code said I need runs on the oil. Turns out it had almost NONE, which I KNEW it! My boyfriend didn't seem to know how important oil is... My boyfriend had taken it to O'Reilly's a few days before and they were going to charge him $160 for the part plus labor, but I told him to wait. He also mentioned the guy at O'Reilly's wasn't very friendly. Overall, I was very impressed and very appreciative for Corey's honesty and help. THANK YOU. Last week my wife's Alternator broke and sucked all the power out of the Battery. We thought we'd be $120. in the hole with a bad Alternator and then have to simultaneously wait about a half an hour for Rob to charge the battery back to 100%. He merely just hit the Alternator like how The Fonz hits the Juke Box on Happy Days, gave us two thumbs up, kissed my wife and said, "you're welcome," as he walked off in the sunset with his AutoZone jacket over his shoulder. I'd usually give only 4 stars for that but last year, with his bare hands and beast-like strength he sold me a new engine and (I kid you not) he switched the engines in less than a minute in the parking lot. I heard he recycled the old engine block by building a school out of the materials from my old engine in a village in South Africa. read more

Prices are comparable to other chains. Where this store failed for me to give a good review comes from the service. I needed to buy an electrical connector and shink wrap. It took 16 minutes from the time I left my car to the time I returned to my car. The store was clean and well laid out, allowing me to find the parts within two minutes. The remaining 14 minutes were spent in line. There were four employees there, but only one working. The one guy who was working was dealing with a customer asking a million questions, so that's understandable. But two of the employees stood around the entire time talking among themselves. Then the final employee would do this annoying thing where she would start to help someone, then do nothing for a minute or two, then do something again. At least she was helping some customers, but crap. It's not like I went during a peak business hour. There were literally only five customers in line during my visit including myself, and the other four were behind me. When the lady did decide to help someone, she didn't ask anyone in line if they were ready. Instead, she asked some guy who was walking around. She waited for about a minute to help the guy that wasn't ready to check out instead of us suckers standing in line. She could have easily rang me up during this time. But she didn't. And when she finished ringing up the unready customer, instead of helping the next person in line, she got on the phone for another 8 minutes. If this is how they normally treat customers, they need chairs and a DMV pull a ticket system. The only advantage Autozone has is the convenience of their location - it certainly isn't their prices. And that's one frustrating part from a customer's standpoint - there is another auto parts store right across McCarren. If I can go elsewhere to get the same part for the same price, but it takes less time, why bother shopping at Autozone? read more
