The workers did a great job with the patio itself, but in the process, they broke bricks/stones, and destroyed my yard, which I've been working on for months to grow in. They washed their cement covered hands and equipment in my yard, so there's cement dried onto the ground in my yard. When they excavated they tossed all of their dirt on my lawn, covering up all the hard work I've done. I reached out to Jay the owner, and he basically said "it happens", but it would be $300 just for them to lay topsoil over their mess. After a lot of back and forth, he got his guys to come out, put down topsoil, and clean up their mess which included tile remnants and concrete debris all over my yard which my dogs could easily hurt themselves on. But they didn't bother to clean up the concrete dried onto the opposite side of my lawn from where the patio was put in. So how does that happen? Carelessness and disrespect for customers' property. While they did clean up some of their mess, only after Jay and I went back and forth, they could have easily prevented this by putting tarps down for the dirt, and not washing cement off in my yard. And with all these issues, Jay couldn't even come himself to check on what his guys did. I will say they are good at putting in a concrete patio, but they could care less about your property that gets damaged in the process.

The yard looks amazing, and Corby was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. He really listened to what we wanted and kept us involved every step of the way. We explained that we want to get away from grass and that we don't use the irrigation system that came with the house. Even though we were out of town while the work was being done, Corby kept us updated with photos and texts throughout the project. He even checked with us on the placement of a few of the larger plants before installing them. One thing we especially appreciated was his thoughtfulness. We had a large amount of pine needles that needed to be removed, and instead of hauling them away, he offered them to a neighbor who could use them. My sister was at our place and told me that Corby was very conscientious about locating and avoiding the irrigation lines during the installation. He was also extremely knowledgeable about plant care, including deer deterrence, watering requirements, and ongoing maintenance. What also stood out was his vision. He suggested incorporating boulders into the design, and at first we weren't entirely convinced. The more we talked about it, though, the more we could see what he had in mind. The finished result adds character and interest to the yard and feels much more unique than a cookie-cutter landscape design. Corby does outstanding work and is truly a joy to work with. It wasn't easy; they had to contend with a narrow gate, huge tree roots and a sloping topography that required special attention to manage the anticipated water runoff. The finished product is simply amazing and I'm quite confident the money we spent greatly enhances the marketability of our house. The crew was a pleasure to have on site and boy did they work hard! Chris is genuinely concerned about doing things the right way and to our satisfaction.

Project Scope: Removal of trees/shrubs, hardscaping (cement hot tub pad, brick reset, flower bed…read moreborders, parking extension), pet turf, and sod across three visits (May-July 2026). I cannot recommend this company. While they perform basic manual labor, the quality is amateur, attention to detail is poor, and they left a mess behind. Key Issues: Safety & Performance (Pet Turf): We paid $1,150 for a rather small 7'x4' pet turf installation for a designated dog potty area, that failed and stunk within two days. It is clearly decorative-grade, not pet-grade, and an incorrect infill was used. It holds odors, drains poorly, and becomes dangerously hot, burning our new puppy's paws. We've been having to hose it down several times a day just so the dog can even walk on it. Irony: the fake grass is getting watered more frequently than the new sod, and the yard still reeks. We always clean up immediately and have treated twice with a ph neutralizer and enzymatic and it's infested with flies. They're coming in the house, too. The dog has been with us for only 3 weeks at this point and this expensive turf needs torn out and entirely redone. Poor Craftsmanship (Pavers & Borders): The brickwork -- using pavers we supplied ourselves, not included in the price -- is amateur, with inconsistent, rough cuts and irregular gaps. The base was not graded for proper drainage, leading to pooling water in the middle of the patio, at the base of the deck steps. Flower bed borders were installed without a proper base, are unlevel and rocky, and create awkward elevation gaps. Tree removal left large mounds behind in the middle of the sod and the flower bed, making replanting difficult. Incomplete Work & Mismanagement: Sod was under-ordered and the project was left unfinished for several weeks that the company seemed to have no intention of completing. It took multiple contact attempts to get the rest of the front yard finished. We had to pay for an entire second pallet, and the crew attempted to leave with the majority of it before we intervened and had them install -- well, throw it on the ground -- along the side of the house instead. Soil preparation was not done consistently in all areas. Unprofessionalism: Communication is lacking and poor, and they have failed to follow up as promised on our request to address the dangerous pet turf installation. We are left with a yard that requires repair at our own additional expense, despite having already paid $13,500+ for a poorly managed project. Save yourself the headache and hire a professional.
