I've been coming here since my kids were little, and my youngest is 36 now, so this place has been part of my life for a long time. It's one of those restaurants that has stayed consistently good over the years, which is why I keep coming back. My favorite is the Massaman curry with chicken and fried rice. Overall, we had a good experience. The food was quite delicious and met our expectations, but there were a few hiccups. I had ordered a cup of Tom Kah and was delivered and charged for a bowl of soup, which was a big price difference. That was a tad annoying just because we had nearly four different people approach our table to check on us to start. The timing of our dishes was off as well. I received my Pud See Yew and it was nearly 10 minutes until the Pud Thai came out and when it did the food had a horrendous burnt taste. We did send it back and they gladly corrected it, but at the same time something seemed off with communication. Our servers were nice, but they filled our waters like 30 times - every time we took a drink it seemed. Although very attentive, felt a bit overdoing it and didn't allow us to chat consistently without interruption of asking how is everything when we didn't really have food yet. Ordered food delivery. Paid $90 for 2 main dishes and 1 bowl of soup. Way overpriced for what I got, but this is not reflected on the review. We used Uber and paid for the fees, but it's astrocious. Pud kee mow (beef) Very nice, though not great. On the search for the best Pud keeper mow in town, and this isn't it. It needs a tad more heat and a little less sugar. Tom yum goong Bowl of hot and sour shrimp soup - tasted great, but wish there were more shrimp than mushrooms. It was more tom yum mushroom than "goong". Lemongrass sour and the little kick was perfect. Pud sweet basil leaves (beef) Ok, I know the word "sweet" goes in this dish, but it is sweeeeet. And it has way more peppers and onions than basil. We randomly ordered take out from this restaurant one night because I was in the mood for noodles and were unsure if it was going to be good so we were pleasantly surprised, even impressed with how delicious everything came out! Veggie rolls are so good, perfectly crisped and the sauce levels it up that much more! The pud see ewe is my absolute favorite. Flavor isn't consistent, but I don't knock it as a bad thing because still so good every time, a tad sweet with buttery smooth noodles!! The pud baby corn was tasty too!! There was only one table seated while we were here at 7 on a Sunday. It's nice they are open until 9pm. The atmosphere is slightly odd. There is Fancy candles, paper table cloth, and place mat Soft jazz music is playing the background. Not many people here but many to go orders. Not huge area to wait either so some are sitting at actual tables. The small buffet is closed with go to order materials on top. The main server is overly dressed, like the rest of it. A couple asked if they could be seated and he hotly replied, "There's seated everywhere I'm busy right now. Take your pick." While there may have been several to go orders, there was basically no one seated. They left when he came back. The food was really good. Normally I shy away from green curry ($19). Food is consistently fresh and tasty and deliveries are quick and packaged with care. I've never been to the restaurant in person but I've ordered delivery many times. Some restaurants treat delivery food like it's not as important, but Bangkok House handles delivery food with so much care. The food is always packaged neatly and it's hot when it arrives. The food is so good, every time. The flavors are always there! I've tried most of the curries and they've all been great! The pineapple rice and noodle dishes are also good. They have a special vegetarian menu section with delicious entrees! I had the Vegetable Curry and my boyfriend had Tofu Basil Leaves and they were both delicious. I'm glad to say this restaurant has gotten better over the years. They're the only Thai restaurant in our area and now we'll go there more often. We ordered our dishes medium spicy, but they were more on the hot side, so next time we'll order them with low spiciness. Great service, friendly people, beautiful interior. Early dinner at Bangkok House did not disappoint. Service was extraordinary in this meticulously clean restaurant. Pad Thai with chicken was excellent. This is the best Southeast Asian restaurant in the area, the food is very good. Rather close to the airport, MATC Oak Creek, and I-794. Near a Planet Fitness and a big supermarket. Good service dining in, pretty good take out accuracy though they do use too much unrecyclable packaging. My main problem is that they aren't open regularly, and I can't tell driving by since they sometimes have their open sign out on the sidewalk even though they are closed. Driving up to the nondescript south side strip mall, you'd never guess at the goodness within. Bangkok House not only serves up some seriously solid Thai eats, they do so in a lovely atmosphere. I came here for dinner with two of my favorite dining companions. It was a cold winter's eve, so I ordered a bowl of tom kha with chicken. It was packed full of flavor and ample pieces of chicken. The only thing that was missing for me was cilantro. My dining companions enjoyed their meals as well. One of them opted for the pad se ew (which I tried and was quite good) and reported it the best he's ever had. We all also enjoyed glasses of Thai iced tea, which was sweet, swirling deliciousness. This is a real gem with the best Thai food I've had in a very long time. From the moment you walk in the service is fantastic with knowledgeable and helpful staff. The restaurant was empty when I arrived but a few more brave souls fought the cold to eat this delicious food. I started off with a cup of Tom Yum soup- very tasty. I knew I wanted a fish entree but asked for help picking the right one, my waitress recommended the Royal Thai Red Snapper because that was her favorite. When they brought it to me, I was amazed at the size of the snapper for $29 (market price) - 2 people can easily eat this entree with the abundance of veggies and rice. I decided that I couldn't wait to write a review because I'm eating leftovers for breakfast from this place and it's still so good. The MAJOR plus of this place is that they do takeout, it's not just a sit-down restaurant. Yes pleased!! We went last night, on Black Friday; not crowded in the least. Ambiance is typical, it's neither here nor there. Waiter, although shy, he was attentive. Before I get into the food. The reasons why I rated this place 4 stars instead of 5 is: 1) This place is extremely expensive. Like, unnecessary so. Because my fiancé and I couldn't leave without trying at least 2 entrées each, this hurt the wallet. For 2 people? One app, 2 entrées and drink will easily run you $40, $50 with a tip. So. They do a lunch buffet Tuesday-Friday. If you're looking to try, but not break the bank, I suggest this. 2) There was a hair in one of my dishes. I didn't make a huge fuss, I'm not that kind of person. I get that it happens, even though it shouldn't. I'd still go back. Okay! Food. Well. We got the two different types of spring rolls, fried and steamed. Not. Worth. It. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! We will never order these items again. Please trust me when I say its not worth it. Flavor on spring rolls were good though. Not so much the fried. Thai Ice Tea was delicious. Get it. The entrées that we tried are as follows; Bangkok House Special, Pud Thai, Pud See Ew and Shrimp fried rice. All YUM!!! The menu is very broad at describing the dishes, but each had its own distinct, delicious flavor. Bangkok entrée was basically Pud See Ew with a sauce. I ordered the spice to be medium and that was spicer than I thought it'd be. It was delicious, nice to try and tasted good, wouldn't order it again. Pud Thai was basically a Pad Thai, with all the simplicity and deliciousness to go with. I combined this with the Bangkok to lighten up the sauce and this went perfectly together! Will order this entrée again. Pud See Ew was absolutely delicious! Definitely one of my favorites. It's your basic drunken noodle dish, with broccoli and awesome flavor. If you like noodles and broccoli, order this. This fried rice has got to be one of THE best fried rice dishes I have ever had! No lie. My fiancé is a chef, she said there was definitely MSG in the food, but let's be honest, if you're going to these kinds of places, are you reeeaaaaallly worried about MSG?! What you really don't know, won't hurt you. And it's not like you're eating here every week. Who can afford that?! Back to the fried rice. Get it. But! Really think about getting the shrimp before you order. If I could redo, I definitely wouldn't get the shrimp. Although jumbo and delicious, only 5 come in the dish for $2-3 more. It's not really worth it unless you're Pescatarian. But get the fried rice!! So good. Well this review is long! Hope it's helpful. Give this place a try, for realz! Don't hesitate. It's so good, so worth it. Portions are big, makes for amazing leftovers!! Side note; you'll notice in my pictures every plate came with an obnoxious carrot garnish.
