Absolutely blown away by this place! The house fried rice is a must try! The nigiri were fresh NOT fishy like all the other valley places I have tried. The spicy mayo and ponzu are delicious and complement the sushi. I was so happy with everything. Cute little sushi restaurant inside the Mercado district in McAllen. The customer service was great. They made the food so fast. The nigiri was so fresh and delicious I would definitely order more next time. Both rolls were decent but nothing extraordinary. The passion tea was very good. The gyoza was also good with a very tasty sauce. The miso had an off flavor though I can't explain it. And the eel sauce tasted like honey which was odd. But the spicy mayo was very good. Not the best sushi restaurant I've ever been too. But overall i'd definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for sushi in McAllen. read more

The ambiance was outstanding, this was a great place to visit! Lots of different shops and other restaurants. Anyways, the service was great, the staff was very friendly. You order and they bring the food to you. I order some tuna sushi and a bowl of edamame. The roll lacked protein, small portions of tuna, and too much rice, but it was tasty. My friend had another roll, and he agreed with my opinion. This I just my opinion, some people my like more rice than tuna, or vice versa. Anyways will visit this place again and try different foods! read more

This place completely blew me away! I ordered a hefty amount of food and my favorites were their salmon sashimi, sake roll, and miso soup. Everything tasted super fresh and I can tell the quality of their ingredients were top notch. I'm glad to see a new sushi restaurant in the valley and will definitely be coming back! read more

Consistent, fresh and clean sushi! The store owners are really awesome and friendly. Not to mention fast and correct orders, which is great for pickup. Always feel really good about ordering raw fish from here. The owners make sure to ask about you and are really nice. Not to mention they also leave lollipops in your order for dessert lol. A lot of the rolls have cream cheese, just an fyi. And their selection, compared to larger restaurants like Kumori, is smaller. It is a great selection though, and there plenty of options whether you want nigiri, fried rolls, edamame or rolls w raw fish. This place opened up a month ago and no one is talking about it! This sushi place is my new favorite jam! The sushi is delicious and very affordable. I had the Unagi Roll and it was fresher than fresh prince of bel air! The Yakemishi vegetarian rice was flavor and had big chunks of veggies! The sunomo salad was spiraled cut fresh cucumber with slices of beets and it was super tasty! Quick, convenient, delicious! The staff was more than helpful too! Sticky Rice Sushi is one of my top restaurants to buy sushi from in the RGV. The fish is very tasty + fresh and you can see the entire process from their window. I always go for the California roll & yellowtail nigiri when I visit. Prices are normal and the Mercado District has plenty of seating for small or large parties. The service is quick and they bring it out to your table, whether take out or dine in. I highly recommend any sushi lovers to try this establishment out! read more

My go to is the Nigiri salmon and tuna with some ginger on the side. Fish is so fresh. My wife's is the sticky rice. We've had other sushi places here in The Valley but you gotta try this place. The sushi rice is a bit sour (more than normal) and it gives it a funky taste. The fried rice lacks ingredients. You have to search for the chicken and other ingredients.
