He is the worst he claims he is a transmission shop well we took out ford f 250 there for him to change out the transmission lines and drain and fill the transmission fluid well the god dealer told us 7 quarts to re fill it he puts in 13 and I pick it up drive it and it starts pissing out the top of the over flow tube I had it towed back to him 3 days go by with out s call back I stop there he claims he didn't over fill it he has worked on fords for years that there is something wrong with the transmission well my husband drained out the fluid and got 2 1/2 gallons out out of it when only 7 quarts should of came out about stay away from this shady so called transmission shop read more

If there were negative stars, the rating would be -2 stars. I had my car towed all the way from Boston to Stiles to have the manual transmission and clutch rebuilt in October 2014, and have regretted it ever since. While the transmission hasn't failed (yet), the clutch went just 5 months after he replaced it. When it failed and I called Steve to see if perhaps the problem was due to the clutch, he was adamant that 1) the clutch couldn't be possibly be the problem and 2) the 2 mechanics I took it to in Boston were lying to me when they said it was the clutch. I had my Subaru towed back to him because he said he would guarantee his work, and he yelled at me over the phone, was extremely rude, and even went so far as to "Honey, I can't fix cars over the phone" me (talk about patronizing). I don't know what kind of issues this guy has, but unless you're looking for shoddy work, horrendous customer treatment, and a sleazy mechanic I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Got recommended to Stiles Transmission & Auto Repair from a neighbor for a place to service my 2007 GMC. The dealer indicated I needed a few things repaired. The garage was great Steve took the time to explain everything and was quite reasonable. I also loved that they didn't tell me I needed all the work done now. We did what needed to be done, and will watch and wait for the other issue to become a real problem. The car is running great!! Will definitely be going back and will of course also recommend them to my friends. read more

I had a transmission rebuilt lasted 600 miles would not go good on a warrantee. I will never go back to him again. My transmission sat at his place for 2 weeks and he never touched it. Warrantee work should be done before anything else. Very dissatisfied will never go back again. read more

Called Styles transmission, asked if he was able to fix the trans. in my FORD ,seems FORD has a nasty habit of pushing the front seal out of the pump when worked hard . The truck was repaired and back in my yard before the next storm . thanks Steve. read more

I lost tranny in Saturn vue said he would work on it; he took it apart and it didn't work charged me 400 dollars told me he would take it apart and put in the rest of the parts i paid for and try again, I was ok; didn't understand why he didn't put all parts in the first time asked him when he could do it. I am without a car , every time I went over he would say next week. i wait a few weeks go over he would say when I get caught up. well three and a half months go by I asked when do you think you can work on it again he threw his hands in the air and said tow it out of here. he told me I called him he didn't call me' when you work for your self people call you isn't that how you make your money. well 400 dollars and three and a half later I guess he should have told me in the first place he didn't want to fix it. I am sure he does well with regular trannys and seems like a really nice guy.. but I took his word for too long it wont happen again I will never go back read more
