Pulling up you'll see a fun little shack that looks run down. Apparently this was an old service station. As you open the screen door and enter you are overwhelmed with colorful pictures and decorations. A smiling face greets you (if there isn't a line) I lucked out. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. The bacon was thick and crisp, the egg was just slightly runny, a nice thick slice of melty cheese finishes up. Oh wait no, normally the bread is an after thought, but not here the biscuit is what shines. Soft, warm, just thick and heavy enough. This may be the best biscuit I've ever had. Self serve coffee that was pretty good and you have yourself a good breakfast on the go. Friendly people, not expensive in the least, and good food. read more

Daughter of a Kentucky mother, granddaughter to a Kentucky grandmother. You don't claim you have a killer biscuit unless you really do. Well, Lynn, you get to stake this claim. I think my grandmother just MIGHT have taught you her recipe, no? Here is the thing, you would drive past this place if you didn't have any idea what was waiting for you inside. It doesn't look like much on the outside. You might notice the parking lot is full - full of everything from dilapidated pickup trucks to snazzy brand new Lexus, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. No joking. You might notice some folks sitting and rocking in the old rockin' chairs out front, or even the line wrapping around the building, depending on the day and time you drive past. But you still might drive on by thinking it is just a little shack off the side of the road. Well, you would be mistaken. Inside, there is love and biscuits being served up by Lynn and her staff (and when I say staff, I'm being generous). There is Lynn miking up sweet tea, making coffee, mixing up biscuit dough, running around giving air kisses (she is probably glistening at that point as she puts it), Jamie at the front counter taking orders and giving smiles, and two helpers in the kitchen. Honestly, I think that's all she can fit. We stood in line and made our tough choices as we waited our turns - I stepped up and talked to Jamie. The white board behind her enticed me. Smoked Sausage, egg and cheese would change my life, it said. Add gravy and I would have a winner. Deal! Jamie asked me how I wanted it prepared and started giving me options. I told her I was new, she wasn't - I trusted her to give it to me the best way. I also (being a Kentuckian) got the Country Ham biscuit. Now, the place is small on the inside. You have to make friends with strangers if you want to sit and eat. We ended up sitting with Susan and Larry - weekly regulars for something like 12 or 15 years! They became our new friends, making menu recommendations and everything. I think they need to join Yelp! They made room at their table, got us extra chairs, and as they were leaving, I watched as Susan (easily in her late 60s) started a new pot of coffee for Lynn. I mean, that's a regular! The food came and OMBG (oh my biscuity goodness). The smoked sausage concoction came with the biscuit open-faced, the sausage chopped up with the scrambled egg, cheese melted on top and smothered in their gravy. There are not words to describe this awesomeness on a plate. The biscuit is crispy and flakey on the outside, soft and just moist on the inside - just like my Granny used to make. It's like she has been reincarnated in Lynn (I'm not kidding or exaggerating). I was so full (ate every last bite), I had to wait a bit to eat the ham biscuit - but you better believe I ate that too. The perfect salty country ham, fried up on the flat top so it was golden and a little crispy on the edges against the foil of the fluffy biscuit. Pure heaven. Now - why is this place 37 minutes from my house? I'm not sure, but I plan on figuring out how to make this a regular haunt. The food is too good not too. So be a little more aware of it, than I was. It's a small house that packs a punch!! It's a very casual spot. Perfect first date spot to tell if someone is too bougie. Little house. Long line. First of all, I HATE BISCUITS!! I hate the texture of them and how they seem to melt in your mouth and stick to the roof of your mouth. I hesitated before coming here, but from most of the reviews, they had some of the best biscuits around. Fine, I'll try it out. I ordered the red hot sausage with egg and cheese. I loved it! I don't know what it was about it. Was it a little crispier? I really don't know. It was just...excellent. As I sat eating, more and more people started streaming in. I noticed most of them were ordering the pork tenderloin. Am I missing out on this? I travel everywhere, so I don't know if i can get another chance to come back. I decided to order a plain one to go. It was giant and breaded. It was very very tender, and the biscuit just couldn't really hold this gargantuan thing of excellence in. The first impression you get is that the parking lot is tiny, but the building is tiny so that's ok. The inside is a humble little place with pictures of past customers blanketing the wall. The owner is very friendly and goes out of her way to speak to EVERYONE. Anyways, I ordered the pork tenderloin with egg and cheese, and ordered the red hot sausage with cheese & an apple juice. We got it to go First word: OVERRATED! My biscuit was lukewarm and extremely doughy. The sausages were minuscule. Cody's tenderloin was so fatty that I nearly gagged when I took a bite. I've gotta stick it to Mapquest for bad directions (like 15 miles off?) Really? ....but we finally found it and what a blip on the map. Ok so I chose this spot due to loads of other Yelp reviews that seemed to rave and I was in an area which is mostly unfamiliar to me. I was with a friend and we had planned breakfast while we were out. Nostalgia, definitely, its a little homely shack on the side of the road and it was jammed packed with cars and people! Your mind will wander like ours did as to how are all these folks are in this little building? As we pulled into the tiny wrapped parking area, some were leaving so I quickly dashed into a spot. We got out, went to the door, as it opened my mouth fell open as well. A bit of culture shock but still kinda cute...almost from another time... Immediately we were met with warm smiles (which we did not anticipate) as the loud bluegrass music blared in our ears. Everyone, staff and patrons seemed super happy. We spoke with a few people while we stood in line, noted the huge tip jars filled to the brim, grabbed a menu and proceeded to order. I had a chicken, cheese and egg biscuit with a brownie and my friend ordered a pork tenderloin biscuit with cheese, side of grits and we both had bottled orange juice. Its very VERY tiny inside so we got ours to go! We decided to eat in my truck (which was not the original plan). My chicken biscuit was not as expected after reading all the previous reviews. The chicken patty was large but bland, the biscuit soft but not the best I'd ever had and the brownie was moist but just a brownie at the end of the day. My friend said Martins pork tenderloin biscuit is much better with a lot less fat (which she showed me and it was loaded with fat...yuck). She also said the meat was very bland tasting and the grits were lumpy as apparently most girt eaters say should not be. We agreed that the orange juices in a bottle were the best and the friendly atmosphere was kool but we would never return and I do not agree that this is the best breakfast stop although the crowd would beg to differ I am sure. Last weekend, I ventured out to this little establishment. When I walked in, there were some people playing some weird music I've never heard before. I just tuned it out and ordered my food. Everyone else seemed to love it...but hey...I stood out like a soar thumb up in here. Haha. Anyway, I took my food to go. Ordered a biscuit with egg and sausage, and one of the cinnamon rolls that I've heard about. The biscuit sandwich was okay, nothing for me to go crazy over. I wasn't too impressed with biscuit. Was a little bit overcooked to me. That cinnamon roll? That was one of the sweetest things I've had in a long...long time. Its really big, so you get your moneys worth, but eat too many, and you will be toothless at an early age. It did have great flavor of course, and a ton of icing. I was fortunate enough to check this place out this weekend and I am so glad I did! There is private lot parking, and then you walk into what is literally a shack to place your order at the register. We must have showed up during a lull, because we walked right up to the counter and then a 20 person line formed behind us! One of my favorite parts was that the walls were covered in photos and news articles which I perused while we waited. I thought it really added to the nostalgia. I've never had a biscuit quite like this since instead of flaky, it was moist and had more of a bun look to it but wow, was it delicious! I opted for the hot sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit and I'm very pleased with my choice. The sausage wasn't that hot, just had a little bit of a bang to it. And the egg was perfectly cooked with a nice piece of cheese on top (to be fair I think all cheese is nice, though). They have a fountain coke product drink machine, water, coffee, and juice. I'm pretty sure there was milk on the menu also. My friend ordered a cinnamon roll she let us all taste and I really enjoyed how different it was from a standard one. We decided the icing had an orange flavor to it, which played nicely with the cinnamon. The best part is nothing tastes pre-made, it all tastes fresh out of the oven! Biscuits and I have a love hate relationship. I have to be in the mood and there are so many ways to screw up a biscuit. Especially when it gets in the way of my breakfast meats. Do NOT mess with my breakfast meats. Stilesboro Biscuits knows how to not mess with breakfast meats. Their biscuits are flaky and kind of crunchy (in a good "I've been slightly fried" sort of way). You can feel the butter absorb into your tongue while your esophagus happily opens the stomach's welcome wagon doors for your delicious combination of eggs, cheese, and your choice of breakfast meats. Also, they have a bluegrass band at least once a month on Saturdays. Make sure you yell hey to the staff because they will happily yell back. There are also lines out the door on Saturdays, go early or be prepared to wait. They are open from Wednesday to Saturday. So do not show up on a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday and expect amazing breakfast meats. Cuz there won't be any. read more

I love breakfast ---- so I had to check this place out b/c its right around the corner! Ambience --- Southern Country Charm in the middle of suburbia :) The locale is a cute, white wooden small home that's been transformed into a rustic little restaurant. There are 4 wooden tables reserved for eating. The line to order food is out the door and spills into the eating space --- so if want ur personal space and wish to eat comfortably - dont go when its crowded! There are pictures of guests/owners and countryesque wooden signs paying homage to the down to earth southern comfy style. Service - The owner works in the restaurant with her young college aged kids. She tries to keep a cheery vibe by reaching out and greeting her guest, telling jokes. It seems a little forced and obnoxious at times, but I definately give her kudos for paying attention to guest. Food - This is a biscuit place and the biscuits are great! I ordered a country ham, egg, and cheese biscuit. It was good but the country ham was super salty! (Why aren't there 6 stars on here?) Woohoo, boy, this place knows how to bake a biscuit! And how to dress it up with anything from pork tenderloin to smoked sausage. I had the country ham with egg and cheese. And so long as you don't tell my doctor, I also had the sausage patty with egg and cheese. Honest, I didn't know how big these would be and thought I'd need two to be satisfied. The biscuits are so good, you'll be pinching up the crumbs on your plate. Seriously. And the gravy is served generously for dipping. The dining area is a bit on the small side, but you can meet new people while enjoying the live string quartet in the corner adding to the down-home country atmosphere of the place. It is further away from me than I would like, but I know I'll be back again. Remember, they close at 11:30 AM, so don't let your partner or kids sleep in late. I've seen people there dealing with money then going inside the kitchen to grab condiments or paper products without proper hand washing (I have not seen them cooking after touching money). We have been wanting to try Stilesboro Biscuits for a while, and this morning we did! YUM!! The old building and decor have lots of character - you feel like you've stepped back in time. Pictures and memorabilia cover the walls, the tables and chairs are mismatched, and the atmosphere is friendly. The staff is super friendly and efficient. All that before the food arrives. I ordered an egg and cheese biscuit. It was fresh and hot and melted in my mouth. So good! My husband and I split a cinnamon roll (which we couldn't finish - it was so big) and I have to say it is one of the best I have ever tasted! I may have dreams about that cinnamon roll. My only complaint is that they are only open from 7-11:30 Wednesday through Saturday. What am I to do if I get a craving on a Monday or mid afternoon? Seriously, you have to try Stilesboro Biscuits!! Best biscuits in ATL! We stop by here regularly to pick up one of their breakfast biscuit sandwiches. All their offerings are great and the cinnamon roll is fantastic. Establishment is small and cozy. I believe the building used to be a gas station several decades ago and has been repurposed to serve ATL's most tasty breakfast fare. Stilesboro Biscuit is a really tiny place filled with a lot of character. I like looking at all the pictures on the walls and reading the fun signs. You can tell that the owner is very much loved in the community. You have to stop at this hidden gem when you get a chance! I suggest to go early because there is always a line out the door. Our Choices: I had a chicken, bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and coffee. Mrs. had a bacon and chicken biscuit with coffee. Our Impressions: Served piping hot and with a huge smile, my chicken, egg and cheese melded together into a beautiful heap which was contrasted perfectly by the snap of of the crisp, delicious bacon. Mrs. said her sandwich was a bit salty, but overall it was very good. We both thought the coffee was weak: it amounted to dark, hot water. Would we have this meal again? We both say yes - but not too often. This cholesterol laden indulgence has to be done in moderation. Our Thoughts: Stilesboro Biscuits is a very small but very easy to find breakfast only gem. The portions and the smiles are plentiful and we love going there. Sometimes, there is a even a blue grass band playing inside - which adds to the down home experience, but takes away from the already crowded space. The fact that I haven't eaten at this place in 10 years might weaken the credibility of my review to a certain degree, but the fact that I still think about it probably says even more about it. I live in Seattle, but made a handful of trips out to the Kennesaw back in the day. During that time, I had friends and/or roomates that were from the area, whose families' homes we would visit and every single time that I came out, they'd make a trip out to Stilesboro Biscuits and bring them back for us -- at least once, if not more -- during our stay. It's obvious why they missed them so much, because I've felt the same way ever since. I've never actually been inside, although I've driven past it, but the food alone tells a story; one where people are making delicious, comforting food from scratch with a focus on quality.
