This was my second trip to this location and the customer service has been excellent! I was greeted by a very friendly young lady who actually took the time to chat for a moment. She confirmed I could order a retired smoothie and I was so happy because it's the only one I love, lol. Tropicolada! Best of the best. My kiddos enjoyed their snickerdoodle cookies while we waited for my smoothie. I was able to pay quickly using my app and earn my points. Smoothie was made quickly (less than 5 minutes) and it was delicious. This was a busy location (it's very close to KSU so many students were stopping in) but everyone was friendly and helpful. This was my first time at this location well at this restaurant. I walked in and was greeted By a young lady and she recommended a smoothie I can't remember the name I believe it was the orange something and it was pretty good, for me personally it was way too much smoothie next time I will get a kids smoothie. I also got the chipotle flat bread which was really good it was chipotle sauce and chicken and lettuce and I got it without the bacon. So I've been a loyal customer ordering here several times a week, but that ends today. The customer service has always been awful. They don't acknowledge you as a customer at all. I mostly order online so I just got used to it but my experiences on three separate occasions this week have made me decide to spend my money elsewhere. 1st strike: I ordered a chia banana boost with strawberries. It was made with peanut butter. I was already on my way to work when I tasted it so I couldn't get it remade; I do not like peanut butter so that was a waste and if it was someone with a peanut allergy, that's a potential lawsuit -- just saying. 2nd strike: Apparently, they ran out of tall cups this week so upon picking up my order I was met with my regular smoothie portioned into two kids cups. Inconvenient to carry both but cool. 3rd strike: I got caught up and ended up picking up my smoothie an hour after I ordered. The smoothies are now in a plastic clear cup vs the usual styrofoam because I guess they're still out of cups so naturally it melted quicker. I politely asked if they could remake it. The young girl said they could not because it's been an hour and the styrofoam wouldn't have made a difference. Okay, got it. I'll drink my melted smoothie, no worries. So what this says to me is it's okay for your customer to be inconvenienced but there is no reciprocation. Empathy and care goes a long way in business. They don't care. The customer service and/or management of this location needs a complete overhaul. read more

I was browsing around UberEats and saw that this place was new on there. I wanted something very simple for dinner. The prices were right, and the menu options were tempting, so I decided to check it out. I got some California toasted flatbread thingy. I was sold at grilled chicken and avocado. :-P I also got a smoothie. I was SO pleasantly surprised and pleased with the flavor of the chicken. I love grilled chicken that tastes like it's been grilled...like on a grill! It had a nice smokiness to it but not overly smokey. They didn't skimp on the avocado either! TSC NEWBIE This was my first time trying Tropical Smoothie Cafe ever and my overall verdict: I'd defintely come back. :) First Impression Customer service was great, I was greeted as soon as I walked in and staff members were patient and helpful. The menu is extensive so I perused the options for a few minutes and ultimately decided on the southwest breakfast egg wrap and smoothie combo ( only +3.50 for any smoothie?! Yes please!) I chose the Peanut Paradise which is banana, peanut butter, low fat yogurt and choice of protein (pea, soy, whey...I chose soy). Flavor wise, both items were enjoyable. Starting with the smoothie, my first impression was like..dayum this is huge!! No lie, for 3.50 I was expecting a small kids size portion, so the generous portion size was humbly and duly noted. (Come to think of it ...I don't think they offer different smoothie sizes, I don't recall seeing the option on the menu or various prices. :) ! ) The size was equivalent to a large and even if it was at full price, 5.29 before tax, the portion would still be a steal. Most smoothie places would charge $8 and up plus extra for the protein, so pricing is generous in my book. Flavor wise, I wasn't impressed but I wasn't upset. The dominant flavor was the yogurt, then the banana, with peanut butter following close behind...protein is detectable but not distracting, which is good. I personally would have preferred the peanut butter to be dominant but I'm sure that can be easily remedied if I ask for extra or something. At the price point it was offered though? I'm not complaining lol The wrap is the only reason for the star lost. Flavor wise, the wrap was on point. What threw me off was the overall texture. It appeared as though the wrap was grilled as it was lightly toasted on the outside...but when I opened it up, waterfalls came out. It was so runny! And not in a decadent saucy kind of way, more like the faucet is still running can you turn the knob just a smidge more kind a way. If I had to suspect why, it may be because some elements may have been previously frozen and the extra water didn't evaporate fully. It made the experience messier than expected and watered the flavors down a bit. But. It was warm all the way through, so I still ate it. I may try it one more time just to see if that was a one-off experience before I completely write it off, because everything else about the wrap was great. Moral of the story: I like and recommend. Peanut Butter Banana Crunch Flatbread: Chopped bananas and granola chunks smeared with peanut butter and honey glaze in a warm flatbread makes the perfect breakfast to go. Everything in it just synergizes so freaking well!!! A bit overwhelming once I ate most of it, but I definitely would choose it for my morning munches again!! Ultimate Club Sandwich: I always grab this for lunch and dinner, and it's my new favorite here at TSC. Lettuce, tomatoes, non-greasy bacon, and hams served sandwiched in toasted buns. The flavors are subtle but savory, and the toasted buns bring everything together for me, and it's a whopping 42g of protein (My daily goal is over 100g)!!! You gotta eat it right away though, or the bun doesn't taste as good anymore. [Service] Out of all the times I've been here, they've only gotten my order wrong once. They are generally positive, and waiting time for them to make your order is probably under 10 minutes. [Other Amenities] Macronutrients and micronutrients are provided on their website; they tell you EVERYTHING that is in your meal. Protein supplements for your smoothies. First time here and we decided on a Caribbean jerk wrap combo for hubby and an Avocolada smoothie for me. He ordered his wrap with the meat sub protein and no cheese as he doesn't eat meat. My boyfriend and I get the sunrise sunset smoothie and the Bahama mama smoothie from the location off of Church street ALL the time (literally at least 3 times a week) and never have an issue there. On multiple occasions I have ordered my normal Sante Fe Quesadilla and have received it without the beans or salsa. You order what you want simply because that is what you wanted on it. Update: While I still love them, I'm not crazy that the prices for "happy hour" keep going up... it went from 1/2 off any smoothie to $2.99 for any smoothie and now it's $3.99 for any smoothie. Management, I've definitely been going less since the latest increase and wonder if others have been doing the same. God I love them! Their smoothies are the best and the staff is so sweet there! I say that because the one I've been to in Sandy Springs is def at the bottom of my tropical smoothie list but I always went because I work near it and it was the closest one to me. Now that this one is in Ksaw I am SO happy! I used to go here quite often when I lived in Valdosta, especially post workout or pre class/work. The one in Sandy Springs had neither of my favorite sandwich nor smoothie so I was kinda sad. This one has everything I love and it's great lol My fave smoothie (just because) is the Blimey Limey and my favorite one post workout is the acai berry. Both delicious! They're pretty consistent if you're just ordering what is on the menu but deviate from there much and it gets pretty complicated. This location being in a college town hires mostly cool kids and the service they provide is expected. Many times i get smoothies with product on the outside of my cup. Sometimes the cup isn't full.
