I was a bit skeptical when I pulled up to "Dogs World" grooming. It's definitely rough, in fact pretty run down. But, the service is very good and the grooming was excellent and fairly priced. Joleen groomed my dog exactly how I asked her to It was only 2 hours for 2 dogs as well. I don't like leaving my dogs for 3-4 hours. Joleen said the landlord hasn't done anything to clean up the building. I know how that can be. If it were my business, I'd do some clean up in my own and make it look a little nicer. But she is very nice and I love the quality of grooming. I'll be going back for next grooming. read more

Don't do it!! I do NOT recommend this groomer! The dogs were dropped off at the very beginning of the day and were still not done by closing at 5 PM. In fact the dog did not even get finished because the groomer didn't have the patience to do it at the end of the day. The dogs had no food or water the whole day and it was like 90° inside the building. She was overly aggressive and impatient with the dogs, not good with them at all!! Really sad! The dog is old and feeble already and because of the heat and being overly stressed, caused the dog to have seizures today which he has never had before. I would NEVER recommend them to anybody else and I will definitely not be coming back. If you love your dog, do not put them through this! read more

This lady did an excellent job on my poodle that was shaggy,and full of stickers.When I couldn't get her in to her regular groomer,because of the plauge,everyone was shut down.She did a great job,in a timely manner,and a pleasure to deal with,don't judge the interior of her place,it's pretty run down.She could use some furniture and paint.Dont judge a book by its cover. read more

I struggled as to whether I should give 1 or 2 stars, but Joleen was nice and I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that I'm one of the rare customers with a bad experience. So I'll start from the beginning... I decided to try the shop out for my 2 year old Pomeranian. I'm new to Tucson so I haven't found a consistent groomer yet. I called twice on Monday, no answer both times. I left a message, never got a reply. I called twice Tuesday morning, no answer both times. Decided to keep trying and called two more times that afternoon, finally got a call back at the end of the day saying she had just missed a call from me (more like 4 throughout the course of the day but okay). We agreed on a Thursday appointment. I read the reviews so I was prepared for the outside of the shop to be run down. However, the inside is really rough. More than I was expecting. She had a poodle on the table when I walked in and his cut looked good, so I decided to keep my appointment instead of turning back around (as I should have). Joleen was nice and gave a fair price ($40). She asked what kind of cut I wanted and I said the teddy bear, a typical Pom cut. She clarified if that meant long all over or short all over, so guessing her unfamiliarity, I showed her a picture. She said she could do it and I left my pup with her. She had a very quick turn around time, only about an hour and a half. But when I got there, she wasn't even around. After waiting a few minutes and calling for someone I took my dog out of the crate myself. I walked in the back a little to see if I could find anyone, no one was in sight. She came back to get her payment only after I called her phone. Mind you, we had just spoken on the phone 10 minutes prior for me to say I was on my way to get him. Now, for the cut. I showed her a picture, explained what I wanted and well...it's horrible. She basically buzzed his coat down to nothing, left it a little longer on his legs and face. The cut on his face is unsymmetrical and he looks ridiculous. Maybe she's good at doing poodle cuts but I will never return for her to groom my Pom again and I highly do not recommend her for Pomeranian grooming. I'll post pictures of what I asked for and what I got. Overall: Nice lady. Reasonable Prices. Sketchy shop. Shoddy work. read more

This shop is amazing. Hard to spot with no signage but it's such a great find. I needed my dog to be shaved down really good because he sheds constantly. I tried every place in the city on a Saturday and came up with excuses, closed, or appointments in two weeks when are set to move. It was my final stop and I was skeptical because the outside doesn't look like much yet (they were renovating). The owner was really nice and said come in tomorrow morning (on a Sunday!). She would have done it right then but she had a later appointment. I asked for something very specific and it was delivered beautifully. My dog came out amazing! A well blended head and neck and a lion puff tail is usually messed up really bad elsewhere but it was done super well here! I really recommend. I included a before and some after photos. Move out cleaning made easier! Don't worry, he has a nice coat he wears outside and is an indoor dog. read more

Where to begin. I needed to find a new place to have the girlies nails clipped. The place I had been regularly going to had changed ownership, and needless to say, I was not happy with the groomers they were employing. I found this place after doing some internet searching and it was close to home. Do not let the building of this place deter you. Or the inside for that matter. Its an old building with a jumble of stuff on the inside and dog fur everywhere. And you know what, none of that mattered. All of the women working here were so nice to me, but most importantly nice to my dogs. They helped calm them while getting their nails clipped, and automatically "dremeled" the nails without me having to ask. They asked me questions and talked to me while working on the girls and it was obvious that these women loved animals. In addition, they charged a very reasonable and fair price for the services. This is now my go to place for taking the girls. Just an FYI, know that they DO NOT accept cards of any kind. So be prepared. read more

This place was great! I took my dog in on a Saturday without an appointment. She gets very nervous but when she came home she was very happy and didn't seem traumatized at all. The bath and haircut took about two hours and it was a great price, $40 for my small pup. I'll be going back for sure! I called this morning asked for pricing, prices were very reasonable, found out she is super close to my house. Asked what kind of availability she had and was told she could fit me in today. We went to the appointment and my very hairy ungroomed Queensland setter came out looking amazing. Defiantly will be coming back and will recommend to others. read more

Nobody has reviewed this place lately and I thought I'd chime in and say that it is still as good as ever. Great gals who love what they do and they do it at a reasonable price. I've brought my dog and my mom's dog here a few times and they always know how to give them the best cut. read more

The ladies that work here have been grooming for a long time and really know what they're doing. The prices are very reasonable and the small size of the place doesn't intimidate my 65 pound scaredy-cat of a dog (she'll even come in without being carried like a calf). Nice little shop that does a good job. I saw on yelp that if I checked in I get a 20% off, when I asked the owner she said she didn't know anything about it but she still honored it without hesitation. They finish in a timely fashion my dog seemed happy when I got him. I'll definitely come back in the future for grooming. read more

I was in the shop earlier today to get my pups hair but and a bath. I called a hour before to ask if she could give us an appointment for the same day, she asked me to go in right away. I drove 30 minutes to get to the shop because it is on the opposite side of town of where I live but my pup really needed a hair cut. I was very grateful she was able too get us in, in such short notice. The shop on the outside looks a little run down and so does the inside but I did not want to judge a book by its cover. She asked me how I wanted the hair cut I told her just a schnauzer cut. I left Penny (my pup) with them, she stated it would be two hours. I thought that's a good turn around time. When I got there to pick up Penny she looked great, I took a quick glace at her. When I was in my car I began to examine her more closely. I noticed a tick on her neck. I quickly began to look at the rest of her body and I saw 3 different ticks. I quickly got home and began to take them off. I found at least 5 ticks on her that she did not have when I dropped her off in the morning. Another issue is that Penny keeps licking her back legs, and butt. The hair back there was left extremely short, so much that its pink, and Penny is a Black Schnauzer. I know she is in pain, it seems like a rug burn. I will not be going back there again, and honestly I don't recommend it. read more

These groomers do an excellent job. They are incredibly nice and professional. They take into account the grooming details of each breed and what specific style should be employed. Both women will speak with you about what is done with your breed and what you would like to be done. Dogs are gently taken care of. My Bernese Mountain Dog looked amazing when I picked her up.
