Hmm. I'm on the fence here. The food was fairly decent. I ordered the whole belly clams dinner and medium mozzarella sticks. I will say that the whole belly clams and french fries were fantastic! As were the mozzarella sticks! However, for $23 they give you very small bellied clams, only a few pieces and limited quantity of clams. As far as the mozzarella sticks, they were fantastic! But the marinara was very lacking in flavor. Service was fast and personable! And I would go again, given that there aren't any options in this area. We are in the middle of nowhere. Apparently Still Four Corners has been around for some time, but I only recently discovered it. It is open seasonally, May thru October. It is located next to the 4 corners gas station on Rte 122 in Rutland, about a mile south of Long Pond. It is easy to miss, tucked behind trees and not very visible from the road. It offers limited inside seating, but lots of porch seating, with ample parking. I had a halibut sandwich and a cheese burger. Both were affordable and well prepared. I visited at 11 AM on a Sat, they had just opened and I was the only customer. They specialize in fried seafood, sandwiches and ice cream. I'll return. For me, definitely worth the visit read more

Had a nice low key outing with family. Staff was pleasant and food was very good, as was the ice cream. I like the screened in porch for no bugs! It was very clean, too. I wish there was a little more parking. Four of us ate lunch for $42.00, that didn't include the ice cream. My mom is a sucker for the fried clams, my dad had a good looking burger, my daughter had a grilled chicken wrap and I had a grilled bacon and cheese and we ordered large fries and ring. Hours can be a little funky. Decided to check out the restaurant with my wife. she ordered medium fried clams and I ordered a chilly dog, onion rings and a frappe. She got seven small clams for $10 and I got a toothpick of a hotdog with seven beans of chilly on it. The frappe was a 20 oz container for $6.45. This amounted to $1.43 per clam. She said they tasted OK but was shocked at the size and amount. I was flabbergasted more about the size of the frappe for $6.45 than the tiny hotdog with 7 beans of chili. If your looking for good deep fried food near by, this is the place! No complaints on any of the food. We especially loved the fish and chips, chili cheese dog (the chili was so good!), fried pickles and onion rings (which were more like onion strings). The prices were great too. This place makes me think anyone in Mass could open a restaurant. It's nothing to write home about and the place is packed. I think it's because there's no where else to go. They say award winning clam chowder. They should rename it watery wants so hard to be clam chowder with hardly any clams. It's more of a soup. It was like a clam had a soup party and no other clams showed up. I was so sad for that clam I couldn't even eat it. The clam strips are thin and stringy. The hot dogs are tiny and cheap kayem. I went here today for lunch with a friend and it seemed like a very cute little ice cream and lunch shoo on the side of the road. My friend got a cheeseburger that looked pretty good but my bbq chicken sandwich was horrible. the bbq sauce was gross, lettuce was soggy, and chicken seemed like it was fake frozen meat. That being said, we still had a good time, prices are cheap and ice cream and fries were good. If you go here, just avoid the bbq chicken. read more

If you're ever feeling a little down...go to Four corners! they'll make you smile like a clown :). This restaurant has the most mouth watering food. Sitting and waiting for your food is almost as good as the food sliding right down your jugular. You are going to get what you expect from this seasonal restaurant as long as you expect variety and taste. We look forward to it's opening every year and are sad when it closes at the end of the season. We've done both takeout and eat in and both options work well. So, this is "our restaurant". And when I say that I mean when the kids ask where we are going all I have to say is to "our place". We go probably every couple weeks in the spring/summer. We have 3 kids so to go to restaurants really adds up. There is no place as good and as reasonable as this place. We get the onion rings, and shakes, and the whole clams, friend chicken and the kids get hot dogs and grilled cheeses. We went to Kimball's and walked out when we saw their prices. $ 4.50 for a side of fries? A hot dog with chips and a little wedge of watermelon is 6 bucks at Kimballs. At Four Corners it's 1.50 for a hot dog and the kids can share a HUGE thing of fries for 3.00 (or even a small that is really good sized for 2 bucks. TWO BUCKS!) . A hamburger is 2.75 I think. The staff is great. I am always up at the window spouting of my order while my kids shout changes and well, I am sure it is super annoying but they never let on. They really are terrific kids. They have 3 places to eat. Inside, out on a deck, or in a screened in porch. Perfect summer day plan? Head to Rutland State park for 5 bucks and 20 bucks for dinner here. Wow, what a gem this place is. It is very easy to miss as it has a dirt driveway and is set behind trees. don't miss it, though. best place in the region. Big menu and nice outdoor seating. beer and wine are served and they have great outdoor seating.
