I'd always hoped to experience the benefits of meditation that I would read about, but just…read morecouldn't a find a practice that truly resonated with me. After dipping my toe in a variety of techniques I stumbled upon Meditate--and I am so thankful I did! The format is extremely user-friendly and has allowed me to create a lasting meditation practice. Not only do the teachings ring true for me, but the weekly class format, Andrew's accessibility, group discussions, and opportunities to learn more all create the perfect foundation to have meditation become a permanent part of my life. I've love the classes--and the changes I am experiencing-- so much that I've taken Level 1, Guided Visualization, and am now in Level 2. It is a 12 week course where Andrew carefully helps build the foundation that you'll use to explore meditation and the tools you will use to calm the mind and find peace and answers from within. If you are committed (at least practice 4-5 times a week and finish the course) and you have an open mind, you will absolutely feel and see the positive impact that meditation has had on your life through this 12 week course. Andrew does an incredible job of teaching everyone the building blocks they need. He is not pushy in the sense that one way is better than the other. He is open to all experiences, whatever works for you. He is non-judging and very encouraging when you do have those break throughs. I can't speak more highly of his teaching ability, the class and meditation as a whole. I have now signed up for the Level 2 course as I have only scratched the surface of this awesome journey and can't wait to see where the next lessons take me. I've been getting massages fairly regularly for several decades and I try to sample whatever's…read morelocally prevalent when I travel. Manila or Moscow, Sydney or Singapore, Amsterdam or Austin - I've experienced many methods and modalities around the world. By no means does this make me an expert, but I do like to imagine that I've become reasonably discerning about what's good and what's not. I've had horrible and great massages, and my "best" and "worst" have a big range between them. Ironically, I have lived near Bella Healing Therapy for years before finally giving them a call and going in for a session. Do you know how, when a doctor asks you "how bad does it hurt, from 1 to 10," you think about the worst pain you've ever felt in order to quantify your "10"? Your own personal ten has probably been reset a few times (not too many, I hope) as you experience more things. If you've had more than a few massages, you can probably come up with a similar scale - "how good was your massage, from 1 to 10?" - to rate those experiences. After visiting Bella Healing Therapy, my previous 1-to-10 massage scale has been compressed down to about a 1-to-7. My recent session with Sam at Bella Healing Therapy redefined my 10. It was such a great session that I feel like I want to track down the last 20+ years of massage therapists, bring them all to visit Sam, and tell them "see, now THIS is how it's supposed to be." After my first visit I booked a session with Sam for my wife within just a few days (she LOVED it), and a return visit for myself just a few days after that to see if it was really as amazing as I remembered (it was). I'll certainly be going back, and I've started evangelizing Bella Healing Therapy to folks I know who could really benefit from a good massage. The booking process couldn't be simpler - it's all online and quite straightforward. Canceling and rescheduling is just as simple. Parking is scarce - I've parked in the street, at metered spots, for my visits - but for only a few bucks at a meter, that's not really an issue. Don't expect any big signage; you're not going to drive past it and think "oh, look, massage! I should check them out"- you need to know it's there (but if you're reading this review, that's not an issue either). If you have any trouble finding the place, persevere - it's worth it. Sam has been my therapist for both of my visits so far, although I'll soon book with Kat - I must assume that Sam would only hire someone equally amazing. As far as the actual massage, it was unlike anything I've previously experienced. Sam seemed to seamlessly blend multiple modalities, adjusting her technique and her areas of emphasis almost instinctively and demonstrating an apparent keen understanding of the body's structural and muscular system. She reveals, in her touch and her demeanor, what feels like genuine caring for her clients, rather than a disinterested and mechanical muscular manipulation. Truly, "healing" and "therapy" are both well-chosen words for the name of this business, as Sam brings both of these things in abundance. 10/10, highly recommended, will return.

Alice was welcoming and the space was open and inviting. I have attended many sound baths before…read morebut this one was really lovely. It felt heartfelt and the vibe was relaxed and easy going. It was very peaceful and I was able to be fully myself. I would highly recommend to anyone, even if they have never been to a sound bath. The setting in the bay is gorgeous and it felt like the ocean was directly being transported in sound to us.

Gong meditation, first the sounds and vibrations of the different gongs is something so beautiful…read moreoutrageously colorful , its tripping without drugs. Second what I felt was the vibrations surrounding me you could feel the sound on your skin. Your mind will drift away from your body. My wife who was very skeptical and also has anxiety was shocked at the results. She thought she was floating on water and the vibrations were penetrating into her face and forehead she was completely relaxed. During the 1 hour drive back to the hotel she repeated she could not believe how she felt and was so happy. The Gong lady Alice, very caring and thoughtful and full of peace and calm.
