Key word is washed. In my opinion it's nothing more relaxing thing a wash and a deep conditioning. My beautician is Deshaunte the office Manger she kind, timely, and most important she restored my hair back to a health state I haven't had since before my mom put a perm on my head when I was 9. I love that she protects my real hair with her growing hand while keep me uptoday with protective styles. I also like that she is willing to pincurl my hair as I always short on time and sometimes don't have time to get my hair done same day as my event. I found Comb My Hair(Salkis Re) and decided to give her a try. I was nervous at first(very nervous) because I hadn't been to a hair salon for about 15-16 years(yeah I know right?) It felt more personal and that my hair had her undivided attention. She nailed the color exactly as I wanted and gave me luscious layers while keeping the length in. However it bothers me just a bit when I'm told that I'm not giving accurate information to whoever is reading this review. I stated exactly what happened and in no way was it biased or misleading. I asked for very very light ashy blonde color. She said OK and I left with orange hair. My sister asked for the same light blonde color however the owner looked at her hair being that it was black and said she will not be able to achieve that color in one sitting. She never once told me that I was unable to get that color like she did my sister. The only reason why I am updating this review is because 1)The owner responded,though a professional manner, still stated that I (indirectly) was giving inaccurate information when in fact I simply stated exactly what happened. 2) I feel as though she is making excuses rather than owning up to her mistake that she made on my hair. I mean hey it happens no one is perfect.I understand that at the time she was the only one working at her business and has since hired new people however I personally feel it was a little bit unprofessional to book so many people when you know that you're just one person. And just to snowball on top of that, shortage in staff is not a valid reason for the results of my hair. I just feel that if you make a mistake or things didn't go as you had hoped simply own up to it instead of trying to make my review seem illegitimate. I try to make my reviews here on yelp as honest and un picky as possible. If something goes wrong such as a dramatically different color in hair than I had asked for then yes I'm going to bring it up. I'm not asking for anything or trying to offend anybody but I definitely do not hesitate to respond to messages from the owners. My requests for a birthday style were met with uncertainty, and she seemed unsure of what she was doing. Furthermore, her lack of hygiene was alarming. Not only did she fail to sanitize her hands before touching my hair, but her workstation appeared messy and disorganized. This raised serious concerns about the overall cleanliness of the salon. The final result was nothing short of disastrous. It was clear that the stylist had not paid attention to my requests, resulting in a style that was uneven and completely different from what I had asked for. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, she became defensive and dismissive, refusing to acknowledge her mistakes. In conclusion, my experience with this unprofessional hairstylist was extremely disappointing.
